[trailer] Avengers! My day is made

Pages

I love, love, love Joss and the crew. Can't wait until May 2012

Whedon's wit delivered by Downey Jr. will make me laugh so hard I will cry.
And then laugh some more.

This actually looks worth it. Awesome.

Wow.... a super hero film i can feel positive about!

I am crying with awesome.

I am willing to watch that movie.

Here it is on Marvel's YouTube channel. Click through for 1080:

I so can't wait!

Can the "BRAAAAAAAAWM!!" thing in trailers be done now? Or can we at least make them more like the Inception trailer and less like the Transformers trailer?

I still need to see Cap'n.

Must be getting too old, or my lack of comic geekness is holding me back, but I don't find much awesome in that trailer. But, hey, hope it's good.

Looks great.

I was already going to see it because it was Whedon. Now I firmly believe I will be going to see it at midnight and probably a few more times after that.

I'll go see it, but if the whole thing is testosterone-soaked equipment-comparisons like this trailer was full of (which I actually sort of expect from the source materials ) I'll already be looking forward to the next one so we can be past it and onto the butt-kicking part.

No comments on the villain from you guys, though? If it's just him to keep all those big burly egos occupied he must have had some serious Wheaties or something.

At the end of the Thor movie:

Spoiler:

It's implied that Loki has access to an extremely powerful artifact, I presume this thing is his Wheaties and is what allows him to occupy a ridiculously powerful team of superheroes.

Spoiler:

Judging by the piece of it I see in the trailer when he's kneeling there all dramatic-like, if it's the same thing as it was in the Thor film (not the Cosmic Cube in the endpiece - it looks like the Frostgiant thing from the weapons vault on a handle), then there's not enough Wheaties in the world to give that thing enough gumption. They'll have come up with some sort of tachyon-burst-like thing for it or something I suppose. We'll see.

Is Widow going to keep bending over and whipping her hair back? Kinda distracting.

Dear God I hope not. I wasn't going to go there yet, though. All we got of her was a couple sexy poses - I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt.

Yeh, I got a chuckle from Downey Junior, but not much else. And I am kinda a comic book fan.

You are obviously soulless minathropes.

Farley, you say the sweetest things!

We are talking about Scarlett Johansson here.

Also regarding the villain talk: Loki was the OG villain from Avengers #1 in 1963.

What's a minathrope?

A small misanthrope.

Oh I am so very excited to see this movie. When I heard JW was directing it, the deal was sealed for me.

She does seem to have a nice move where she takes a guy down by his neck with her legs. Most of those flourishes seem to happen after she just handed someone their ass. Given JW's penchant for promoting strong female characters, I'm sure he'll give her due screen bad-ass-ness.

Well there is the one segment where Thor appears like he is about to thump Captain America. That could be a game changer. And while the Hulk is one of the most powerful Avengers, he's not exactly "dependable". You kind of just direct him toward the enemies and hope he doesn't notice you.

You're plenty geeky Lobster. I recommend repeated viewings, stat!

Yeeeaaahhh... I think I will be watching this with the wife. Probably not on release day though. But certainly in the cinema. And in 2D.

Avengers vs Loki?

"Ultimates 2"?

The love child of Minarchist and Clocky, obviously.

I noticed that too! Both the Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 trailers have it as well.

Happy happy happy! I think the lynchpin of the film is going to be a snarky Hawkeye.. I have faith in Whedon's ability as a writer/director to bring the snark; I just hope the actor is sufficiently sarcastic.

What kind of bums me out is Bruce Banner is now on his 3rd actor. It really is getting annoying. I actually liked Eric Bana but Norton did bring me back with his rendition but now this new guy (Mark Ruffalo) though...I don't know. I know the Hulk character is not really know for his lines but yeah. If that is really my only gripe I think that is pretty cool about this movie.
