Also, I got Devery Henderson in my other league but instead I gave Plax a chance to play this week. 0 points for him, but 20 for DH on my bench... ugh. :(

Substitute Sproles for Henderson and that's my (GWJFFL3) story, too.

Yeah, like you didn't get enough points anyway.

Although, I still had some hope of beating you until the 49ers decided to not cover Austin.

NFL redzone says Jamaal Charles has torn ACL.

Just thought I'd point out that ESPN is experiencing issues.

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties and are working to resolve them as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

For me, Matthew Stafford is gone. There's a blank slot where he use to be.

Just thought I'd point out that Yahoo hasn't had any issues.

Edit: oh wtf, now romo is out

Romo out. Gah. Good thing I am winning by 40 points without him. :p

Geeze in both my leagues my 1st round picks are busts (Foster and Charles). UGH!

Romo fractured rib

Is fleaflicker not updating stats for other people too? Still hasn't given me Miles Austin 2nd TD.

Edit: NM everything just ticked.

I admit that I don't understand getting frustrated when "real-time" stats aren't all that real-time (including, in the worst case, when the site is unavailable on Sundays). As long as everything is right come Tuesday morning, the rest is just gravy. IMHO, of course.

Yeah the stats aren't huge. It's fun to watch as things progress, but not necessary. The issue is with the 4pm games. And if you have injuries or subs to make for those games. Site needs to be working from 3:30-4:15 eastern every week at the least, just like it has to be up from noon-1pm.

Real time stats are completely and totally unofficial. Official NFL stats don't exist until the next day, after everything is compiled and reviewed. Anything you see on game day is completely separate from the actual, final stats. They're usually pretty accurate, but worrying about delays or inaccuracies is completely pointless, as they're a totally separate and do-not-count-in-any-way set of statistics.

They're fun, of course, and part of the game day experience. Just don't worry about them if they lag behind or miss something.

Don't advertise a feature if you can't deliver it. Just sayin'... Hopefully they work out their issues, it has been rock-solid every other year.

In actual fantasy news, helloooo Vincent Jackson, nice of you to show up this week after your 5 points last week. Mike Williams ended up getting me .6 points, so, jackpot! Jacoby Jones sub would have given me another seven.

Deion Branch had 16 points last week and 21 this week. Coincidence or is he a real starting option?

Ugh, Burress scoring zero is probably going to cause a loss for me

I'm currently the highest scorer in GWJFFL2 and all indications are that I will lose this game. Every time my team has a big day, the guy I'm playing has an even bigger one. Story of my fantasy football career.

Here's hoping STL's run D steps up tomorrow.

I'm coming for you. There's no way my Johnsons will lose to the likes of you!

Btw, SF fans (or people who watched the game) wtf happened to Vernon Davis? He kinda let me down. Well, he let you down too Rat Boy.

When it's all said and done, though, 152.6 is likely good enough for only 5th or 6th spot so at least there's that...

It did for me in my non-GWJ league. I thought it wasn't going to matter when I was down 49 points going into tonight's game. But I got 42 out of Ryan/McCoy and my opponent only got 5 from a kicker, so I lost by 12. Those 20+ points I could have got out of Devery Henderson would have done it easy. Stupid me.

Looks like I win my FFL3 game though. One player left to play, but my opponent is done.

I guess it would not of matter since my opponent's TE got 28 polints

Found the answer to my own question: Davis was left to block Ware. I suppose that makes sense. Wish I had thought of it beforehand.

Was close for me in GWJFFL2 up until the late game. And for the record, my 50$ Henderson pickup was less of him being that valuable to me and more of not understanding the whole money thing very well. *shrug* Why does it even exist? Is just having a waiver order not enough?

I'm starting to get the sense he'll do more blocking than catching in the Harbaugh scheme of things...until they realize they should actually use him as an offensive weapon.

Weren't you in the league last year? Regardless, I'm sorry for your difficulties. Could you please let me know what part you didn't understand and I will clarify it in the GWJFFL rules document or perhaps put together a new FAQ? Feel free to do it via PM if you prefer. I, and future GWJFFL rookies, thank you.

I'll leave that one for *Legion* (or someone/anyone else) to answer as I've got to run to the office now.

Oh god, Mike Martz is back. Davis should be the #1 threat on their team (following a healthy Gore). Put a blocking TE in to block and use Davis for your mismatches.

Dammit, I should be the Niners OC. Hell, I'm probably as qualified as I watch more NFL than I do college. Take that Harbaugh!

The point of waiver wire bidding is, quite simply, everyone has an equal shot at all players.

It also promotes activity versus sitting-on-your-high-priority-all-season behavior.

Let me rephrase, i do understand it but never paid close enough attention to common values so i was unaware of what would be considered high or low or normal. Last year i only picked up one player and i think i bid 50 as well because it was right in the middle.

Its no fault of the instructions, completely my own failure to dig very deep into it. If it was a silly bid then its completely my own fault. I am ok with that

On the plus side Henderson got me enough points to win this week and i have 50 bucks left in my pocket. That's definitely enough for a beer or two

Spend'em now, if there's a player you want. I seem to always end up with like $84 at the end of the season.

The funny thing I saw is that some players in FFL3 made some pickups after Thurs and apparently still bid on them? I was pretty sure you could claim someone with a $0 bid anytime between Thurs-Sun.

If the player was dropped on Wed or Thurs they still go through waivers, I believe.

Yeah. I had to blow some money on Ricky Williams because of this. Four of my five running backs were out this week. Turns out I would have been better off with the zero points from any of them than with what I got from Ricky.
