NFL 2011 Week 2

What's wrong with tackling in the NFL in one play - skip to the play that begins at 7:27:

Benny Sapp was cut after this game, due mostly to giving up the 99-yard play to Wes Welker. After that "hit", he would have been cut from my roster immediately, and someone else would have been covering Welker when that play happened.

If you watch the end of that play, you can see him pouting.

Does she have other daughters?

Haha. Yes, 2 younger ones. You'll have to pretend to be a Titans and/or Bears (Cutler-from Vandy) fan to get in with the family though. ;)

Bears fan here. I'm 26. I like long walks on the beach...

Promise me you'll cuddle after and I am yours forever.

Rams fans are special.

Apparently they run this multiple times on the jumbo screen during games this year.

Do Buck and Aikman hate Chicago?

Did Denver fans go stupid? They actually believe in Tebow? Or is the media blowing this story up?

I think they actually believe in Tebow. The media didn't pipe in those Tebow chants on Monday night.

But with that billboard story it was the media blowing it up, the leader of the billboard group even said that they weren't pro-Tebow, just anti-Orton. Orton is a pretty well known commodity.

Speaking of unknown commodities, I think this Cam Newton might actually be the Panthers savior.

I wish San Fran had some fans rally against Alex Smith about 4-5 years ago.

If you would have told me that, at the end of the first quarter, Newton would have 10x more passing yards than Rodgers, I wouldn't believe you.

Maybe I'll get lucky with Newton, I picked him up for my fantasy team after his week one performance looking for a hail mary at QB.

Also, the Detroit defense looks like swiss cheese right now.

Who the hell is Dane Sanzenbacher?

Watching the Ravens-Titans game. Both offenses are playing about as sloppy as possible. 3 and outs, turnovers, and a missed 34-yard fieldgoal by TN to boot. Early 2nd quarter and still no score.

Edit: Almost halfway through the 2nd quarter and finally someone puts points on the board - a FG by the Titans.

Back from running errands to see...Deadskins vs. Cardinals. Ugh, I need to splurge on DirectTv and Sunday Ticket.

I signed up for it yesterday with installation scheduled for the 27th. I was looking to reduce my cable bill and my cable company was not accommodating. It was a wonderful excuse to go with DirectTV and the Sunday Ticket.

Time to give up on the Bucs game and watch the Rays instead.

Ah, week 2. How you make week 1 completely irrelevant, except for Cam Newton who seems to be playing like a god or something.

Carolina is only any good because they paid for Cam Newton.

If you're going to be below .500, might as well have fun doing it. Watching Orton play is like, well, watching NFC teams from the early 2000's. Boring.

I think the Broncos should play Tebow.

I don't think he's any good. I don't think he will be any good. But unless the team is committed to Orton and think he's their franchise QB, they should play their young QB and find out if he is.

Nvm, looks like he came back down to earth.

The chanting was pretty lame last week, but it's no different than Denver's been treating QBs since Elway. Here's a pretty good article about Tebow and the fans that friends of mine were passing around.

Todd Haley will be the first coach fired this year.

It's about time for Blaine Gabbert to get in there.

The final score is going to look like the Jets lit up the Jaguars, but the Jag defense has played very well. They kept the Jags in the game for a long time, but the offense hasn't been able to hold onto the ball for any period of time.

Aye, but when? I say by week 5.

I'll take the over on that. I get him done at week 10.

Wait, I mean look at those Bucs rallying!

I'm not a fan of firing coaches during the season, unless there's dysfunction.

Todd Haley, well.... dysfunction.

The Chiefs have been blown out the last 4 or 5 games. Sure injuries are a huge issue so far and that may keep Haley around longer than otherwise, but if they keep playing this way I'll be shocked if he isn't gone come the bye week.

Speaking as a Lions fan, please sit the entire starting offense now Coach Schwartz. I think a 38-point cushion should be enough.

Question:

Why is everyone wearing their home jerseys away and away jerseys at home? I thought last week was weird, but just chalked it up to be a one week thing.
