FF2011: GWJFFL Week 1

FleaFlicker is crapping out every few minutes when the scoreboard auto-refreshes.

Go Ray Rice! 12 points a quarter is good.

Ward or Tate? Frozen by indecision; put in Kevin Walter. #Fail? #TBD

Looks like it doesn't matter much. Each one has a TD so far. Both will probably get their fair share of touches later in the game as HOU is up big right now.

Yeah I can't even get to the league page.

I would expect Tate to get more touches due to age.

Kenny Britt for 80yd TD? Hell yes!

Heh, Karma has Ward anyway so he should be ok.

Geeze, now I think Ward is hurt. Great start to a season hehe

Looks like you were right. Oh well, still happy with the 9 points I got from Ward.

Whoa. And Britt with another TD. And LeSean McCoy scored again in my other league!

Can't see the scores, but I think I'm winning.

This is pretty bad by fleaflicker. Both my Yahoo and ESPN teams are fine.

Yeah not a good advertisement for the new management.

Bradford hurt, Ryan ineffective. Am I glad auto draft picked up Mark Sanchez.

What is this, Twitter?

Yes.

First Sunday off of the AOL-funded hardware. I'm sure (or hopeful, anyway) they'll get it worked out. That being said, now that ESPN support FAAB, we were already consider going there next year, anyway.

Hey I got through to the scoreboard finally. Winning by 44 with 4 left to play vs his 5. Maybe I can hold onto that?

My Johnsons (god, I'm going to love saying that all season) have done me proud today: 49.6 points. I expect that every week now.

Whew. I was gonna recommend Tate ... glad I didn't seeing as you were playing me this week.

And 77yd TD to Steve Smith.

And today on "Grump's Cursed Starters" we find:

* Steven Jackson - quad (first play from scrimmage)
* Kevin Walter - shoulder (one catch for 14 yards)
* Nate Kaeding - knee (opening kickoff)
* to be continued...

Honorable mention to Arian Foster who failed me on two out of four rosters

That was a 47yd TD run though right? Not like he gave you nothing.

Well, 140 pts and I still have my first WR to play tomorrow night. Feeling lucky, or at least like I have a week one draft down. Worried about legs though.

Looks like I would not have won even if I had started Rodgers/Jennings, unless Gronkowski gets a whole lot of points tomorrow night.

Yeah, hit 180 (Romo still playing) already, and my "optimum" will probably be over 200, with 3 guys still left to play tomorrow. Feeling like I might have a complete team for once.

This is probably the best opening week I've had in the 5 years or so I've been playing. Trying not to get too excited, as I know how quickly things can change. But always better to start off winning.

Ouch.

ARGH!!!!!! That should have been an easy win for me over Legion. But nope, the Jets decide not to run the ball at all and Romo only fumbles, throws interceptions, and passes to Austin in the 4th quarter. That was just brutal to watch.

If somehow I'd known to start Tolbert over Blount I would be in great shape against Ukick in GWJFFLK. As it is, I'm praying Reggie Bush finds a way to get less than 3 points.

On the other side of my leagues, I'm down 41 points against Grump in GWJFFL2 with Brandon Marshall and the Dolphin's D/ST yet to play. I'd feel much better about it if Kenny Brit had a more average 10 point game instead of the monster 30 point game he had no business putting up against me.

Jolly Bill is a sad panda.

Jollybill's prediction comes true and my team doesn't suck...yet.

Amendola

7th round (76th) pick Steve Smith leading all scorers so far?

Ugh. I'm glad there's no relegation in the keeper league, my team may be that bad this year.

I'm still happy with my GWJFFL1 team - I'm predicting a big turnaround next week when the Steelers host the hapless Seahawks.

Whoa. 8-10 weeks. That sucks. I assumed he was going to be out just a few weeks.

They wouldn't replay the clip where he got hit because it was "too gruesome". That wasn't a good sign. Seemed really odd for what originally looked like a pretty standard play. Of course, I couldn't see it again to see what happened.
