Yeah, I'll take my LSU any day.

LSU fans are the infinum of the set of fan bases. A null fan base is better than you guys (Don't worry the same applies to lots of fan bases).

Wow, that's... deep. Guess you just went to your algebra class?

I went to the one, and then they gave me this slip of paper!

My Badgers are kicking some serious ass. Russel Wilson was pulled with time left in the third quarter. He was averaging 18 yards per pass attempt (10/14, 255 yards, 2TD), and had two rushes for 62 yards and a TD.
I'm pretty impressed, especially since he's new to the team (and offense).

Granted it was against UNLV, but I have to say Wisconsin looked mighty impressive. Run defense might be a bit suspect, but if they can get that fixed then they are a serious contender for a BCS bowl!

Yeah, Arkansas fans have also set an Auburn fan's car on fire once. Someone lit the tiger tail coming out the back.

Not the proudest moments in Razorback history. Still, I've heard a number of accounts where Arkansas fans are physically threatened and even attacked at the yearly LSU game (both in LR and Baton Rouge). I'm sure most LSU fans are reasonable people. Probably just a coincidence, there are plenty of asshats to go around. Booze rarely helps the situation.

That said if I went to the LSU game in Baton Rouge, I wouldn't walk around alone.

Behold an admittedly biased sample of Baton Rouge fans.

Something mathy that I can't think of this early in the morning. Set containment or f*ck man I'm tired. Back to increasing the efficiency of the sapping of your state's resources!

If I did, it wouldn't be because of the fans. Beautiful campus... really, really scary areas around it.

Ugh, SEC should have taken a hit with Auburn losing instead, they get a pass. Oh well, a win is a win. FSU rolling. USF holding its own against ND but all that momentum dissipates due to weather.

It seems that Utah State has never practiced on-side kicks because that was terrible execution on their part. And, I can't remember the last time I saw one game delayed let alone three on one day (Iowa, Michigan and Notre Dame).

If the Gophers had a kicker that was any good or if the refs had the balls to actually call pass interference against USC, they would have won. Pretty decent considering how terrible they were last year.

The USF-ND game is back on. USF just intercepted a deflected ball. Brian Kelly (ND coach) looks like a complete d*ck out there screaming at his players.

GO USF! I'd also like to mention that South Carolina is losing right now 14-17. Go East Carolina! The Gamec*cks are very overrated. If Georgia can put away Boise, I'll be happy today.

My Hogs are up 30-0 on Missouri State. The Bears have 18 yards of Offense. Hogs have 265. Looking to move up this week, I'm thinking a top ten spot might be possible.

Man, I don't check this thread for a few days and it fills up with anti-Aggie haterade. I'll bet you guys were pissed at Andy Dufresne for escaping a life of incarceration and sodomy, too.

This is so different, though. The Aggies are escaping into a life of incarceration and sodomy. You thought it was bad being Texas' Female Doggo. Now you will be bending over for LSU, Alabama, Auburn and Florida.

Sorry, firesloth...

Why do I get the feeling that, despite all the unprovoked trash you've talked, if I responded in kind you would complain that it was totally uncalled for? Look, Texas broke the conference, just like they did the SWC. It was broken when they drove off Nebraska and Colorado, and it was compounded when they directed their pocket commissioner to stand pat at ten teams. Then the LHN. Now we're getting while the getting is good, and OU is in talks with the PAC. Somehow in this chain of events, you've concluded that A&M is the bad guy. That's not very good math.

Now Oregon can go on and win the pac11 and the entire conference will be out of the national championship discussion in the very first weekend. They better hope someone steps up other than the ducks quickly!

Only after he got all uppity and preachy in his letter to Red.

Really? Because I don't think my reputation is to cry when someone makes fun of my favorite sports teams. But I do like to talk trash about sports. That's kind of fun. Because in the end, it really doesn't mean anything.

I just think it is funny that A&M fans are so excited to join a conference in which they are not only the ninth most relavent team, but they actually want OU to come join so they can be the 10th.

I just don't get the desire to join the PAC#. You are basically ensuring that the nation miss half your games. The east coast already has forgotten that the conference exists. Now you are moving from prominent game day match ups to the midnight show. Is part of the agreement of joining that all games will be played before 3:00 pm?

J - Where I'm from, you talk trash proportionately to what your team can back up. That said, I suppose you can speak authoritatively about being the 9th or 10th most relevant team in a conference.

FWIW, and pre-season rankings aren't worth much, only two SEC teams are ranked higher than A&M right now. I wouldn't expect you to have seen the rankings, unless you were checking to see whether your team has worked its way up to "Others receiving votes".

I wish rankings did not come out until like the 4th week. ND ranked, they have already changed QBs. Auburn almost got stomped by a nobody, etc.

As far as A&M, I don't blame them for leaving the conference, I just dislike SEC fans

I'm happy Boise State won, I want more match-ups between big name schools and rising programs. I won't say big name schools should stop scheduling lower level teams (those schools can use the money) but some schools should limit those match-ups.

Whoa now, I know you aren't talking about THE Detroit Red Wings.

Let's Go Blues!

You little dirtball. I'LL CUT YOU!

OKay, now everyone can bow to the mighty Tiger and quit your whining among all the lesser forms of life...

Fun game, but really could easily have gone the other way. Our lack of offense is gonna be a real problem when we get into the meat of the SEC schedule. The Ducks just had some bad breaks. The young Mr. Williams will be fine, he just needs some more seasoning. It's a rare freshman that can carry a team. Get some more weight on him and more time with the weights and he'll be a force.

But for now, I am savoring the victory...

That was uncalled for!

Where I'm from, top dogs are free game to poke at. Whether it is the SEC, the Yankees, or the Dead Wings. But it is also expected that if you dish it out you should expect some to comeback your way. So your shots at Kansas' prolific football team is more than warranted.

And I remember Kansas teams ranked in the top 10, so I know EXACTLY how much A&M's ranking is worth this year, and more importantly over the next few years. And we'll see how much that ranking means when SMU shuts the 12th man down tonight.

Please don't take this all so serious. I love having teams in which there is some added bitterness. The Cards have been on the short end of the stick with the Reds last year and Brewers this year. But it is more fun that the teams and fans like to get into it.

If A&M kicks butt this season, I'm still going to congratulate you on a good season. But I'm rooting against you all of the way. I think it is pretty clear I'm bitter that greed is tanking the Big 12. I could care less if Kansas' bank account matches Texas'.

My dream landing spot for Kansas when the Big 12 finally crumbles is the Big East. Decent football and hella great basketball. It's not the most wealthy conference, but a season of playing Big East basketball would be awesome.

Oregon State lost to an FCS team. I guess that 2 star prestige ranking is earned.

Ole Miss losing is always nice. If you're an Ole Miss fan fan. When Houston Nutt asks for a two year pass, make sure to show him the door. Auburn barely beats Utah State. They were such a one trick pony last year. Not saying Cam wasn't a good trick (made more money that most tricks).

Vandy put away Elon, with a score that looked like a real SEC team. The amount of trouble East Carolina was giving Garcia/Lattimore should be telling. That O-line cannot stand up against any defense, let alone Alabama/Arkansas. They'll still win the East, but the East kind of sucks.

I was really surprised that BSU got the W over Georgia. I'll be more surprised if Mark Richt is still coaching in Athens come 2012. Kentucky won, so good for them. Otherwise it was all blowouts, with the exception of LSU. I'm glad they won. I don't think I could listen to another season of unmitigated Duck hype . Oregon probably still wins the PAC. I won't know since I can't stay up past 10pm.

I bleed Red and Black and have since I was a wee pup, and I like Richt, but unless they beat the Chickens and right the ship, there is no way he will be back.

I know Boise is good and has basically their entire team back, but you could tell Georgia was more athletic; you could just as easily tell that Boise was the better coached more disciplined team.

This game must be a real weenie-shrinker for Jayhawker, although you'd need a micrometer to know for sure.

Unfortunately, my daughter felt the same way about our defense during the first quarter as I did, and threw up all over me.

There are two stats from the TAMU/SMU game that make me happy as a Razorback fan. TAMU's third down efficiency (1-6) and time of position (-7:28). I think if we see similar stats next week I'm going to relax a little.
