Michigan State beat Indiana yesterday.

Edit: Also, glad to see you survived the storm, Kush.

Hoppa -- how are late nights for you, like 11 pm start time? My availability will depend in the weather. Tuesday or especially Wednesday are likely good.

recruited the hell out of some players

Thanks, you too. We lost power for an hour not too long ago, and the carpet is damp by the sump pump. Otherwise, Kushniers are safe. Also bought a 2012 Tucson (who buys a new car the night before a hurricane) and painted the nursery (pink). Shag will be without power for a couple days, unfortunately. Downed power line thanks to a tree after Irene did her damage.

Tuesday is taken already. Wednesday might be doable. I work late on Thursdays, so the late start won't bother me.

Let's shoot for Wednesday, then, as that would also be the best day for me.

I'll let you know if anything comes up.

Hey, buying a new car the night before a hurricane is a good idea. That way, you can get the initial dent out of the way right at the start, instead of waiting around for it. Or, am I the only one who gets into a car accident within six months of getting new wheels?

Glad you got out of that pretty well. Was watching that on Saturday, nasty business.

Holy sh*t! That could have been a lot worse then it was. For me at least. After 6 PSE&G trucks go by to look and "assess" the damage by the tree. One guy, who will remain nameless, decides that he can bypass the street that has the damaged wires and at least give everyone else power but the people on that street. So at 3:36pm, power has been restored. I feel bad for the people on the other street, but if I had to hear my neighbor Female Doggo and moan one more time, I would of made the news.

So does that mean you will be at work tomorrow, you worthless bum.

I had to go in today after the entire office was given the day off. 2 hours of travel time, and 2 hours of work. Some day off. BLEH!

Yes. I will be in. Sorry that your boss nominated you to go to the office today, even though it was closed.

lol....working on a day off....must suck.

I would have rather had the full day of work, it was more annoying than enjoyable.

And I am declaring Marshall ineligible for Bowl games for the next 3 seasons!!!!!!! A PLAGUE ON BOTH YOUR HOUSES!!!!!!!!

*EDIT*
OK, I'm being told I don't have the power to punish Marshall for a sarcastic remark. What power DO I have as league commissioner? This sucks!

You have power of scheduling. That about it.

How are we looking this week?

I'll play my game tomorrow night. I will update the games played at some point today.

So, uh, I know I am dropping. But I turned on NCAA today and saw that I wasn't booted, and there was a game to play. So I kind of played it. And I kind of lost in pretty much the same fashion as last week.

I didn't let Purdue spank the crap out of me in the first half, but I sure let them score a lot. but I pretty much kept pace, and was ahead for most of the game.

I did have to come back and tie the game. I then held Purdue and forced them to punt. I then moved the ball to the 29 with 19 seconds left. I then threw an INT. I sh*t you not.

Then I lost in OT. 41-35.

Apparently SMU's main superpower is sacking the QB. I not only had 9 sicks, but about 1200 hurries and knockdowns. Purdue's QB left after the first half. But I still let his back-up burn the hell out of my secondary, as he actually played better than the first guy.

Slider impressions are good. I feel like running the ball is fair on both sides. I still think I throw too many incomplete passes, but then, I might just suck.

If you need to boot me, feel free. Don't wait on me, and I probably will not be there to sign-up when the patch drops. I shouldn't be here now.

But it was nice to get a game in. It confirms to me that NCAA really is a lot more fun than Madden is this year. Just like last year. Madden is much improved, and good solid game to play. But NCAA hits a sweet sport for me.

you really think Marshall is going to be bowl eligible in the Big East? lol...you are such a funny commish.

Hoppa and I got our game in...ND bests TCU, 31-20. It was a very tight game, and I was on the lucky end of the interception bug this time around (TCU was intercepted 4 times, ND once). I also got insanely lucky on two long TD passes (both posted in the highlights). The one to the tight end was one of those situations in which either 1) the defensive switch went to the RIGHT guy, but that was unexpected; or 2) the defensive switch went to the guy in coverage instead of the right guy...the one about to wallop the QB. So, the LB in coverage slowed down just enough for my pass to be completed.

On the other hand, I was plagued by bad luck in the kicking game. Two very make-able kicks from ~39 and 51 yards. I was so concerned about the lag in the kicking game that I pulled them both to the left, missing by a few feet in both cases.

The ND running game produced just over 200 yards rushing on 38 carries. My QB went only 9-22, but two of those were long TD passes, including one with just seconds left in the first half.

Fun game...thanks for the good spirit, Hoppa.

By the way, I just noticed the score: 10-7? Indiana? What's going on up there in E. Lansing?

I couldn't move the ball. Part of it was I decided to play conservatively as the game went on, because my offense wasn't working, and I had something else to do, so running clock was a good thing.

A win is a win, eh?

As Hoppa and I were chatting about last night: it still seems like the defensive switching is just plain off with some occasional randomness in this game. I get switched to players OFF OF THE SCREEN on occasion. That shouldn't happen when there are three players trying to tackle a nearby runner. Similarly, I shouldn't get switched to a safety 15 yards away from a WR when another player is breaking free on the QB. Ugh. It also feels like there is sometimes switching that occurs whether you press the B button or not.

At the very least, I wish they'd put in some sort of conservative / aggressive slider on the switching so that we could somehow adjust how far from the ball's current location it's going to allow us to switch.

As usual TCUs D gave up a boatload of points in the first half, and my offense did nothing to help me out. The second half was a much tighter game, but I couldn't overcome surrendering 21 before the break.

For an A-rated offense and defense, the TCU players seem clueless on the field.

...or maybe it's me. As I was telling the Perezoso en Fuego during our game, I don't play against real people enough. Good for me we're re-starting the league!

As I was telling the Perezoso en Fuego during our game...

I'm glad to see someone finally noticed!

OK, so I'm the only one left, EA Servers say they are unavailable. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

BASTARDS!!!

I'm back in town. I'll try to play my game sometime tomorrow.

Good, no pressure to play mine tonight

Just an FYI: I'll be out of town Sunday through Thursday. It won't knock us off schedule, but it probably means we'll not be able to roll early.

How many trips do you take?!?! XD
