Really fun game of Stone Age tonight. Long game, but never bored. Multra took it with a landslide victory for his first game.

...and I learned the valuable lesson of multipliers!

You don't need them ;D?

Yeah, let's see who can show up to get a game in at 8 pm EST tonight.

I love this thread. I really do. Also I am subscribing.

I've been part of the steam group since its inception but have not played any games! I need to start stat! Any open games for a noob or any that will be starting next week?

Depending on when my wife heads off to bed I might be able to make this a little later.

I would love to try out Pandemic tonight around 9:30/10:00 CST if anyone is interested.

Not true! I was just late.

As I said, in another thread, I'm pretty much a board game virgin. The closest I ever came to the board games talked on the show or in all these threads is Ticket to Ride on the Xbox and maybe a Titanic board game that I played many years ago with my family. Mostly all I know is Monopoly, Sorry, Uno, Clue, LIFE, and a few other family board games.

Gonna try to learn as much as the post, at front of the thread, says but I would like to be invited to the Steam group, ID: Wolfen Vic . That way when I do feel comfortable in my knowledge I can try to jump in and fail miserably.

I know it's late, but if anyone is on Steam and wants to play a game hit me up and we can get something ad hoc going.

Is anyone interested in playing a 3-4 player game of Through the Ages? I know a few people have mentioned that they play. If you're interested, post your boardgaming-online username here and I will set up a game when we have enough players. My plan here is for a game for people who have at least one game under their belt. If there is interest from Through the Ages newbies, I'm happy to set up and participate in a learning game too.

My boardgaming-online username is Ben Rankin.

My name is mudbunny on that site. I have never played it. Is it real-time, or play-by-email?

My BGO username is Sway. I've played the actual board game before. Haven't played it online.

The game is play-by-email.

Through the Ages works well as a PBeM game, since a player's turn is mostly taking a number of actions that require no interaction with the other players. There are a few instances, the foremost being auctions for colonies where an email game can drag.

I misspoke when I asked for your BGO username; when you set up a game it only lists players by the First (combined with Last) name entry in your profile. For whatever reason, other players never see your profile name, which is a 180 with other sites.

The nice thing is you can edit your First and Last name, so I'll need players' real names or the identities they've assumed for BGO. Maybe I'll switch to Dirk Diggler.

I'm always up for a game of Through the Ages! Mike Betzel (DreadedGazebo).

Oh, and any chance I could get into the Steam group?

Is there a version of Cash and Guns online? Would that be possible? I meant to put in the question that it was online...

Here's a site with online Agricola.

I don't know the other games though. Free to sign up and play.

What's the Game of the Week? Pandemic?

I would be up for that. Maybe you guys can teach me how to win. I played with two buddies the other night, and we got our butts handed to us 4 times in a row. Managed to wipe out one virus, but then got demolished by a huge outbreak in Europe that took Black from 6 left down to -16

That Agricola site is a SERIOUS find. Holy crap. Lets get that on the front post as a resource.

I SOOOOO want to play this. But yes, pandemic would be great for this week.

Heres Tom Vassel's bit on pandemic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5V8q...

Can someone update the front page?

I totally forgot to post this but Troyes is now available on board game arena.

Quite an in depth head scratching Euro game, but one that I have enjoyed (losing at) due to it's cool mechanics. It is at heart a worker placement game, where your workers determine your dice pool at the start of each turn, but the cool thing is that you can buy dice off other players, which provides for all sorts of nobbling of plans and interesting plays. The only downside is that this can lead to some analysis paralysis as your carefully planned turn has to be re-thought as your neighbour just bought your white 4 that you had earmarked.

Someone forgot to close a BBCode tag, *cough*Iridium884*cough*

Also, I'd like into the Steam group, user is pyromanfo
