Oh fudge
Will take care of that when I get home.
Okay, I re-uploaded... is it all better?
Okay, that's fine, I clearly have no idea what I'm doing.
Sadly no, says you've got the wrong date (your league file may be out of date). We've taken long enough and this is our first sim day, so i'm going to ask you to bear with me, as I asked the AI to set your organization.
So, the new file is up-a-rooney. Things are unsurprisingly tight, with noone playing worse than further than .286 baseball (sorry Dallas). But, we are underway! Things have been fun thus far, including Brooklyn and Pittsburgh combining for 44 runs in a three-game series. I'll upload a new league reports file for the website every Friday, so everybody take a look at your teams, see if everything is up to snuff, and export your finished rosters. You've got until Midnight Friday, although i'm willing to do 3 sims a week if we can crank them out at that pace.
Damn, was hoping the league site was updated so I could look at things while at work.

Make sure you (try to) download the latest league file every time you load the game, that way you know you're on the correct date.
Well, my scouting budget, for whatever reason, went through the roof, and I may be forced to trade Derrick Clayton as a result. I can probably make it work, so I won't give him away, but he is available. I want young talent with high potential, preferably pitchers, but I might take a mix of arms and position players.
I also have a glut of middle relievers, so Juan Romero ($3.4 Million, arbitration eligible), James Campbell ($2.8 Million, arbitration eligible), and John Maxwell ($2.2 Million, arbitration eligible) are all available for a prospect or two.
I work for a guy name James Campbell in real life. I might just have to get him on the Pierogies so I can boss him around
Bleh...2-4 for the week including a few close losses, but the pitchers look like they got a little unlucky with high BABIP against them in those first few. On the bright side we had no trouble scoring runs. As tempting as it is to make a lot of changes, I know I should just sit pat and let the stats accumulate before making any changes.

I'm in the same boat. Need bigger sample size before I go shuffling up my roster.
Oh lord, my starting pitchers are doing even worse than I thought. I have an amazing bullpen, so I need to spend some time setting everything so those starters get pulled ASAP. That doesn't fit in with Pred's desire to have starters pitch longer into games, but my starters suck, so ...
Well I've had a major senior moment in making a GM password that I 'thought' was so simple I didn't need to jot it down right away. Duh! I have forgot it! Dagnamit. Anyway, I have notified Pred' and took out a OOTP Support Ticket to see if there is a work around. I was thinking I could just unzip the original file, go in and do password again, then download newest ftp file. But that would probably overwrite my 'new' password and I'll still be in the same fix. Unbelievable numbskull am I.
It's not awful, I just am going to have to delete you as a manager and then re-add you. You'll have to download a whole new league file, give me a day. If you lose your password in OOTP, you're boned, so heads up to everyone now.
O.k. Thanks. Geeze. One other thing, is it alright to patch to newer builds (like 23 that came out a few days ago)? I've read of an occasional botch to on-line leagues when folks patch.

I've been holding off on doing any patching since the league started- my issues early on with FTP errors were (I believe) related to me having a different build than the one Prederick used to generate the league.

For patching, I've read that 'everyone!' has to patch to same one or it botches stuff (like financial page weirdness)
Prederick, when do you want the next upload by?
For serious, please ensure you're up to date on the most recent patches, the most recent of which is here.
There is no Mac build available until Andreas returns from vacation in 9 days.
Um, I'm on a Mac and running Build 22. No patch for me yet

That's right. Andreas does it and he's on vacation. So we all should stay at Build 22 till Mac's get patched too?

Too late for me- I patched up this morning before Novocain said anything. I don't think anything gamebreaking will happen, but I'm not sure...
GO SANDWICHES
I should have known I wasn't current last week when my manager still had his old name. Juice Camambert appreciates the change, Pred. The AI did an admirable job in my stead, though. Only news this week was my centerfielder going down with wrist tendonitis. EVERYBODY HURTS, Michael Bell. Suck it up.
Pretty unimportant question, but why don't our players have faces? They're all the generic dude or team icon.
Btw, I'm up to date on the game updates.

You need to download a pic mod from Padres Fan or some other OOTP supported sites.

Why is that? It's something that should've been generated upon league creation. The league site has faces for many players.
My pitchers can strike people out, but that's about it. I need to get a fifth starter who isn't terrible. That waiver wire is looking pretty right now.
So I imagine not a big deal on doing much between week one and two, but still waiting for a file Pred so I can get back into the game. Or was it undoable?
