Dead Island

Yeah, count me in as well, though I couldn't handle the total payment.

If anyone needs a 4th for a pack I'm in with a paypal donation.

When I first saw the trailer for this a long time ago my jaw dropped and I was so excited for this game. Seeing some of the gameplay trailers has changed my mind quite a bit on this. I'm not too impress with the graphics and animations so far. I don't know maybe things will change. Not gonna be something I pick up soon. I may wait till there are plenty of user reviews out there.

Same here, if it gets organized I would like to get in on some 4 pack action myself.

Giggity!

Thought someone might like that

Achievement list is out . This looks like a day one to me - any other goodjers in for some co-operation on the 360?

Not sure if this is a purchase or GameFly for me yet, but either way I'm in for co-op.

I think you guys have sold me with the l4d+borderlands comparison. Count me in for a four pack too.

I watched quite a lot preview vids. I would say l4d+BL is a bit off in terms of gameplay. It looks VERY melee-centric, and it's more focused on crafting new weapons then looting. While L4d & BL is pretty arcadey, as in you can mow down armies of enemies without flinching and kill 5 zombies at once with a ax swipe, this doesn't appear so.

There are a lot fewer enemies, but even a single zombie reaching you can cause a lot of trouble. Doesn't appear to take a lot of swipes to make the main character start crawling, and zombies can also start the grab animation that u fight to get out of. Some big swipes seem to also knock the main character down.

It's exceedingly melee based, from what I've seen. I'm not crazy about the camera twisting and reacting to swings and strikes. I know it's realistic, but I feel like it makes it harder to concentrate on what I'm trying to do.

I'm cautiously interested in this, but I am really hoping for a demo. I'm also hoping for ZERO time limits to the game (I'm looking at YOU, Dead Rising!).

Okay, that is 9 people so far going for the 4-packs. Now we just need at least 2 who are willing to drop $150 and collect repayment.

It'll depend on reviews, but, if it gets a good reception, I'll probably buy it day one.

I will beat a zombie with a hammer to save you, dear friend. Especially if it nets me an achievement.

Nothing says "friendship" like "I will save a virtual representation of you for the purpose of collecting completely worthless points".

It is a lot like marriage!

Spoiler:

Seriously, don't tell my wife I said that.

As your everyone's Fable wife, I approve of that comment.

Hey now, I was MrGreen's wife.

MrGreen... did... did you cheat on me?

Nah, gaming is actually fun.

I might be willing to put up the initial payment after all, but I want to wait a week or so. I'd like to see some more previews before I commit. I'm also moving to HK soon and I want to make sure that any money transfers go according to plan.

So yeah, zambees!

If you end up doing it, I call a slot!

Sure. I won't be doing anything until Monday at the earliest, but I'll keep you on the short list for Team Zombie Bikini (tm).

As a useful thread subscribe, for those trying to coordinate a ménage à quad, the trick is just to get people to Paypal you money first then buy it from Steam and pay with Paypal. Then you aren't out of pocket and dealing with delays in Paypal transferring back to your account. There's no implication here that you can't trust Goodjers, this is just to keep from being out of pocket for $150. I've done a few 4-packs this way and it's easier on beer funds than waiting three or four days for Paypal to post back to your bank account.

Dibs

Team Zombie Bikini:

Me
LobsterMobster
Tannhauser
Prozac

Full Up. The next ship will need a new captain.

A pleasure doing business with all of you, even LobsterMobster!

Including the international funds transfer fee it cost me $39.26. If I'd bought it in a store here in Australia it'd be about $110US.

I love digital delivery so much.

Oh no, I missed out. I wanted to spend some 'quality' time with Grubber.

Congrats on lulling them into a fasle sense of security, Lobsty. I'm looking forward to their wailing and gnashing of teeth when you inevitably turn on them in-game.

Anyway, are we still on for the BBQ this saturday?

[edit]

Oops. My bad! Thought this was a PM!

Barbecue? I think my reputation with matters involving Zombies and fire is well known

Time to toss another Lobster on the Barby!

If there's one thing I'm good at, it's lulling people into things that are false. Senses of security, police cars, doctor's offices...

And yes, Prozac is NOT allowed to have fire. Just as I'm sure I will fulfill any teeth-gnashing needs should I see a single defibrillator (it's like the game arbitrarily deciding who wins!).
