Probably completely irrelevant but throwing it out anyway: I've had one or two problems with games hanging on the opening screen in the past year or so (STALKER: CoP was the most recent example) and both traced back to the Raptr client I had running, and the thread I found that solution in mentioned Xfire as another culprit. Try disabling either of those (if you are using either of them) to see if that makes any difference.
Though EYE is apparently on the Source engine so I dunno why that would be having a problem.
Oh, and tagged...
I use a combo of MSE and UnHackMe, and I have had no issues yet.
So how does healing work? I got shot up and it told me I had a broken leg. I used the healing skill a few times - mine is in the mid-40's - and the leg resolved, but my HP never went back up. What will fix it? I have not seen any healing goodies yet.
Verified the game content?
So how are people getting on with this after a day?
Ugh... Throw another one on the pile

I'm enjoying it, but there are several bugs, and then there are things that feel like they might be bugs, but could also be deliberate design choices. There's a patch coming out soonish (after the weekend or something), and I'm looking forward to what exactly they think is noteworthy.
And there's some really bizarre localization in places. Not even bad, just bizarre.
Apparently, you have a skill which converts ammo into healing, I just had not noticed it.
This game is HARD. Brutally hard.
This game is hard. I have to hack a terminal in the middle of a warzone while fending off a never-ending stream of demons clawing my ass off and attempting to run away with said ass. I like my ass a lot but this game wants it more.
It looks like the game is really meant to be played coop.
I'm intrigued, but I think I'll wait for a sale. Plus I want to give the developers some time to patch the game.
Unless there are fellow goodjers out there who want to go for a 4-pack. If someone picks it up before the launch week sale ends, it would only be $13.50 per person. But it doesn't really look like there is the immediate interest.

I might be.
I keep getting tempted, but my pile is well, piled higher and deeper.

I'm up for this.
The game runs like it's in slow motion for me. Not sure if that's intended or what. Talking 1-2fps
Can anyone help with hacking? So far it seems kinda random on what to do even when I have better scores than the target.

I'd be up for participating in a 4-pack if someone else wants to organize the buy.

I'm not far into it, but looking at the powers and playing through the initial hack, this seems like a nice strategic mini game. You have to maintain an offense, by attacking and applying debuffs when needed while maintaining your own defense. As I said, I haven't done much yet, but if the AI is any good, you'll have to watch what it's doing in order to counteract its attacks. If you're made vulnerable to attack, get a shield up. If you've got it on the ropes, use your big nuke (which also lowers your defenses). If it puts up a shield of its own, knock it down.
It seems a little frenetic, and I'll have to get used to the UI to figure out when to trigger each power, but that's the basic strategy I expect to be using. I'm planning to use hacking as a major part of my own arsenal.

That explains a lot on hacking. It is an active battle not a turn-based one. Thanks for the thoughts.
I'll pass for the moment, I really should knock some off the pile.
I fear though that waiting until the xmas sale I'm going to miss the multiplayer on what appears to be a coop focussed game, from what I've read it's damn hard as singleplayer.
[Edit] Got in on Krev's four-pack.

Done, grabbed the four pack. PMs sent to those who expressed interest, if there are extra copies I'll post them here. All gone.
Picked this up. This game is weird, and the localisation is... interesting. I think I can see me getting into it though, just need a few hours to get stuck in and immerse myself, I don't think this is a game that'll suit short play sessions.

Considering the way the Save system works, that's an astute observation. The game will always save your character progress, but if you leave in the middle of a mission, you will always start back at the beginning after you quit. I still don't know if I like it, considering I hated it in Magicka.
Anyone have any good character builds yet? I tried a sniper and didn't much like the scope (the part at the center of the crosshairs is heavily distorted, making it a little hard to be sure you're on target). Turning people into a fine red mist was cool.
Character generation seems about as abstract and unfriendly as I've ever seen. The gene names are meaningless so I need to scroll through them each time to see which does what, then I get to hit a button to roll until I get "good" stats. Reminds me of Baldur's Gate.

Wait... you have to roll stats in this? Newer versions of DnD used a point buy system for a reason.
