^^^ Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's published by MS.

It's not, it's published by Warner Bros.

Also, re:platforms

Whoops.

Wonder where I heard that false info from?

Must have been the voices in my head again.

So now that the hype is starting to affect me and this looks like a lock—I can count the number of good ARPGs I've played this console gen on my thumbs and still have one left over—I wonder about the narration, in terms of video games that rely on jokes like that. Namely, can it hold up, are we going to get much repetition of lines?

My understanding is that there will be virtually no dialogue repetition. Once the narrator talks about a specific action or event, he will not bring it up again.

Excellent. Then I fully expect to be as spoiled with dialogue as I was by Wheatley.

I'd be all over this if it wasn't XBLA only. Guess I'll wait until the end of the year.

I'm sour. I've been waiting for Bastion since it was revealed and last week my XBL account got hacked. I'll likely get it back, and hopefully my points. I won't be playing this til maybe next Wednesday, with the investigation and all.

Dare to aim higher, Gravey.

Spoiler:

For Irongut!

I expect this thread to blow up here soon. I'm actually surprised there has been more interest in this game, but I myself stopped posting in it. Then again, I didn't want to see any more of the game, I'm sold, I just want to experience it.

This game only came onto my radar this morning, and for some reason I was convinced it was already out. Became sullen when I realized the release was tomorrow. This was all over the course of maybe an hour.

One of the rare times my broke self doesn't want there to be work the next day.

I'm stoked for tomorrow, been looking forward to this game for a while.

Can't wait for the PC version.

I'm bummed because this is yet another great way to pass the time until d3 that won't be released until the same time as d3, swtor and gw2.

Here's a tip guys. I know you want to duke it out for the christmas buck but diablo 3 is going to win and in such a fashion as to make the christmas sales boost you get near moot.

I can't wait to play this game. I don't think it will do big numbers though.

Has there been any hints, rumors, or info about the PC release date? If I hadn't just added several games to my pile (mostly thanks to the Steam sale), I'd play this now on my 360. I will be buying this game on some platform, but I'd rather not have to wait until November to play it on PC. Hoping it'll be released well before then.

There's not really an official word on the PC release date, they keep saying "later this year."

Felicia Day likes Bastion and has a cool little personal story about Greg Kasavin.

Also, Tom Chick believes it should be taught in game design schools.

And why not post the launch trailer:

Yeah this is one of those games Tom Chick will never shut up about. That can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how your opinions line up with his.

Huh, small world.

I called in sick yesterday in anticipation, then was filled with remorse and a sense of utter failure when I realized I had got the day wrong for release.

This game is one of the reasons I finally broke down and got myself an xbox 360 a month ago! Psyched to have a late night tonight playing.

Didn't even bother with the demo, I just hit Purchase this morning before heading out to work.

Looking forward to firing it up this evening.

Man, you suckers stuck working today are really missing out. I went into this blind and I'm loving it. Gotta go, the Bastion is waiting and it won't build itself. Mostly.

This gets funnier the more I reread it. Anyway, I'm looking forward to checking it out tonight.

The 10 minutes worth I played this morning before work are making it so this day can't go by fast enough.. Already hooked on 'Whats the narrator gonna say next?!'

My only concern with this game is that I'm not entirely certain that I'll be able to stand the narrator's delivery. I'm not the kind of guy who gets all hot and bothered by a cowboy drawl, so I think that flat, twangy style of speaking might get old quickly.

I was in the same boat yesterday. Utter disappointment last night when I returned home from work and saw that it wasn't out yet. I can't wait to head home this evening to see what all the fuss is about with regards to the narration.

Based almost entirely on you lot creaming your pants about this, I've gone ahead and bought it sight unseen.

If it's poo, you all collectively owe me 1200 space-quid.

I just came here to post this, with slightly different verbiage.

I know one of you crazy cats will blow through this one, probably by the end of the day, so when you do, I'd appreciate a report on how many hours you get out of it. I liked what I saw of the demo, but I don't want to get burned like I did with Limbo, buying it blind and getting a 2 hour game for $15.
