Assassin's Creed Revelations

Ok, after watching that trailer, I'm officially interested. Ubi always makes good AC trailers.

Here's the youtube version (Scratched's link is busted on my computer):

Edit: Having just watched it, I feel like Ubi just reached into my wallet and snatched 60 dollars. Such an expensive fall this year ...

Scratches link was busted for me also. And now the Youtube user has removed this version. I may explode with anticipation/frustration. Can anyone find another version (I presume it'll show up on Gametrailers, etc soon.)

Oh, it's so good! You're missing out, Higgledy!

Noooooooo....oooooooooooo!!

Edit: Just caught the end of the demo on live stream :).

Well... I'm probably gonna buy that.

Pretty blown away by that demo. How do they do it?

New Animus firmware.

Looks pretty darn fun.

This one is from the official Assassin's Creed youtube account, so it probably isn't going anywhere.

EDIT: for those interested, the music is Iron by Woodkid. The rest of the tracks on the EP that song is from isn't quit as... apocalyptic, but still pretty good indie singer/songwriter stuff.

Oh AC, you have hooked me again! I really did think this whole yearly release thing would water down my desire for the series, but so far it's working.

They had me at "the lost library." I'm such an easy date.

Some multiplayer footage.

It looks the same as Brotherhood for the most part which is fantastic.

Not interested in the game but I have to say that Ubi makes some great trailers
This one for the first game was great as well

That looks very similar, which I'm fine with. The only bullet point I need for their MP is "now with less jank."

So in the trailer, is Ezio seeing a memory of Altair?

Interestingly they seem to have removed the little kill movies. I enjoyed those a lot but I can see how it could clean up the game and not leave people open to being slaughtered mid kill.

Or Ezio is having 'bleed through' just like Desmond.

Well, that's a Day 1 purchase.

I thought that the face was supposed to be Altair, but I think that the equipment they're wearing would fit the context for Ezio, not Altair. I might be wrong on that, though.

Oh God, there's a specific word for using something in a time period from before its invention or discovery. It's on the tip of my tongue but I can't think of it, and looking through thesaurus.com isn't getting it. Please help me.

Anachronism. (Not to be confused with Anachronox.)

Anachronism?

edit: beaten to it

Oh thank you oh thank you. It was one of those situations where I knew the first letter and I could even halfway see it in my head. Maddening.

God they make awesome trailers. As far as I'm concerned it's just a bad ass music video, and I'm down with that.

Don't care. Still buying it.

Also, he definitely stabs Lucy in that clip.

I hope they have the Florentine Noble Attire in the new game. I started playing the game with it equipped and it didn't feel quite right to have Ezio not in his usual costume but, after playing that way for many hours, I don't think I could go back to the full assassin's outfit. It makes so much more sense for him to be dressed in reasonably ordinary clothes as he moves around the city and he isn't peering awkwardly from under a hood in cut scenes (the only downside is that you don't get other disguised (i.e. when he dresses as guards, etc) but I find it quite funny.)

On a completely separate note: I just watched Ip man a not necessarily 100% factually accurate biography of the man who trained Bruce Lee and it struck me that (leaving the side the awkward fact that Desmond isn't Chinese) that era, during the Japanese invasion of China, would make a great AC game. You could have Kung fu in the game and all the funky Chinese weapons and with the Japanese there you could even have samurai swords while completely avoiding all the hackneyed Ninja motifs.

Really looking forward to this. I just got back from Florence yesterday, and I have to say it's pretty amazing just how well they captured the historical center of the city. It was kind of odd walking around feeling like I'd been there before--and had murdered many, many people.

Google earth is good for that too.

Murder?
