Anyone care to take a guess as to why Nate got dumped from the UFC after not passing medical?

I can, I can!

I watched Dana's interview before the Live show in which he said that when everyone found out why Nate was suspended, they'd feel as angry as he does and agree with his decision. While I do understand why they would cut him over this, in hindsight Dana's emotional response looks disproportionate to me.

Agreed. The UFC is littered with people who have tested positive. When White was talking on the Live show he was sitting next to one. The only difference I see between Nate and all the others is, they got nailed after their fights and Nate was before.

It was Nate's second time getting caught and it killed the main event of their card. I don't think Whites reaction is disproportionate at all.

As an MMA fan, what do you want to read about when you go to a MMA news site?

I'd love to read some interviews with the judges, especially Cecil Peoples. I rarely agree with his scoring, it would be nice to try and see his point of view.

I like Bloody Elbow's mixture of news and analysis myself.

Agreed, Bloody Elbow is a favorite. The reason I'm asking is a MMA website was looking for writers and I was kind of curious what most people are into. I'm thinking about writing an article about the spinning back fist and what it means in MMA.

My first article. Any feedback would be great.

Awesome!! Is there an RSS feed for your articles only?

I loved the mix of humor that you threw in there, as well as the video clips. For someone like me, who is a complete newb on MMA, it is really helpful. (For example, where Silva tapped out, is the submission that he was in that painful/dangerous that he couldn't try to get out?)

That submission is called a heel hook. It is very dangerous. There is a high potential for serious injury. It does ligament and tendon damage to heel and knee area.

It's a submission that is often banned and people have suggested it being banned in UFC.

Those keeping up with the TRT stories, this is for you

Thanks! I really appreciate it. And I've got no idea how to do that, but if I figure out a way to, I'll definitely post it here.

And the problem with the heel hook is that it can cause damage before you even know it. It's not like an arm bar where you can let it get cranked a little bit without it causing long-term damage. Heel hooks can mess up people's careers. Luckily, they're not often used. Unless you count Rousimar Palhares. He loves the heel hook.

Shamrock made an entire career out of the heel hook.

I was really talking the more recent MMA, but yes, you're completely right. He had quite a few wins with it in his early career.

And ended at least one with it also.

3 straight losses for Fedor - never thought I'd see it.

Happy for Hendo, tho he's a solid guy and I hope he gets back in the UFC and gets one more shot at Silva.

It seems that a lack of consistent, quality opposition has finally come back to hurt Fedor. Was there any announcement as to his future in the sport?

All Fedor said was "God's will" would tell him what to do next.

I believe his StrikeForce deal is up and would be suprised if the UFC would do another deal with him.

I would imagine the whole "M-1 Global" thing has a great deal more to do with him not getting signed to another contract. That company was doomed to failure simply because all their eggs were in one basket.

Does anyone else want to see Tito win tomorrow night? I'm not a fan by any means but I would love to see the comeback storyline played out.

I couldn't tell who I wanted to win. Tito I thought was a big underdog but I still didn't feel like cheering for the underdog.

I just didn't see how he could get around Evan's speed and wrestling. Being tough only takes you so far.

Yea, it would have had to be a total fluke. I was pleased with the result. Evans looked great. He actually finished somehow, as opposed to the grindfest he managed to display in his last few.

So, Nick Diaz just got his title shot taken away and was replaced by Carlos Condit. He didn't show up to two pressers.

Do you think he was trying to get thrown out of the ufc? I know he talked about wanting to box or something.

Nick Diaz? A boxer?

The dude has a hard enough time keeping his hands above his belt, can't hit with any power, and can't throw a straight punch to save his life.

I predict pain. Lots and lots of pain.

And he's fighting BJ now. He's gonna get wrecked.

BJ is a schitzo fighter. When he's on, he's a one man angry mob. When he's not, he's a text message.
