With Oblivion rocking so many socks in both the forums and the industry at large, it's easy to forget that new games continue to roll in as the current financial quarter comes to an end this week. Always be extra careful at this time of year folks, sometimes games are rushed to make this important financial date. I'm very tempted to go with Far Cry: Instincts Predator for the Xbox 360 as the Game of the Week but you just can't ignore the mainstream popularity of the Kingdom Hearts series. Finally shipping this Tuesday for the PS2, Kingdom Hearts 2 will sell for $49.99 and 4000 happy points.
This week on DVD we have The Super Mario Brothers Super Show, King Kong, Robot Chicken: Season 1 and much more!

I was curious about Commuter Express, but I am no longer. Apparently it's a flight sim, not an economy or god sim. Screenshots at Barnes and Noble.
Steam Id: Yoyoson | Amoebic: after climbing up BurningManCraft's leg, I was a little too close to the subject matter and I lost my sense of scale. I didn't realize the thing was bigger than his arm.
I can't wait for Beatmania.
The new version of Far Cry on the 360 for me.
Fire bad. - GameGuru
Didn't even realize the new Full Spectrum Warrior was out this week. Will defintely have to look into that.

Shadowground looks interesting enough, I might pick this one up eventually...

Yeah, but if you set off the bomb in Megaton you are rewarded with a parking lot!
Kingdom Hearts will definitely be picked up... eventually. I've managed to play about 90 minutes of games so far this month, so I'm building a good backlog of games. I loved the first Kingdom Hearts, though, much to my suprise.

Anyone heard anymore Call of Cthulu scuttlebutt since E3? Wasn't looked on too favorably at the time; anyone taken a second look?
We will walk boldly into the darkness and be the light.
Damnit, this is NOT helping with the backlog. Oh well, adding Far Cry and Full Spectrum Warrior to the already long list...

I know several on another forum who liked Call of Cthulu on Xbox, most notably Mike Bracken aka "The Horror Geek". I plan on getting it eventually. In the meantime, I just put my order in for Oblivion and am still very much enjoying Age of Kings on the DS.
But what I really want to know is how is Space Rangers 2 not the game of the week? It finally comes out in the US and it's getting no pub yet everyone who imported it seems to love it. For shame.
Space Rangers 2 is on the dreaded Starforce list, is it not?
The Fly, Certis and I all played at least a little bit of Cthulu and I don't think any of us finished it. That alone should tell you something. Certis didn't finish because he's a weeny. I played about 6 hours of it and decided that the game underneath the atmosphere just wasn't compelling enough. Not sure what Fly's experience was like. Maybe he'll chime in. Maybe we'll actually do a write-up. Maybe the Cubs will win the World Series. Who can say?

Huh. Disney + SquareEnix. I can't think of a combination that turns me off more.
Certis: Quintin is both smart and attractive.
Fedaykin98: Good lord, I wouldn't have expected brilliance like that from that nemeslut Quintin Stone!
Yonder: It's weird to say this, but Quintin Stone may be the wisest person here.
Wasn't GRAW supposed to come out for the PC on the 29th?
Delayed until summer, which may be a code for "never coming out."

Oblivion...Oblivion... must... play more... Oblivion...
I wonder if Untold Legends II is in fact a complete rewrite, because the first game was extremely disappointing. Enemies always rushed you all at once, there was no strategy whatsoever, just potion gulping and clicking. Insultingly dull.
The same part that scared Certis away was the one that caused me to quit, but for different reasons. It was a lengthy chase/survival scene that involved a lot of really counterintuitive, aggravating trial and error and no checkpoints. After about 45 minutes of getting killed, starting over, and tediously working my way back to where I died, making incremental progress each time, I quit.
As a whole the game was okay for the 4-5 hours or so that I played it. It had some geuinely interesting, creepy moments, but the overall color scheme was dark/bland and the story seemed to move pretty slow. If I'd liked it better, I probably would have persisted so I could see more, but as it was I wasn't excited enough about it to put up with the frustration.
Yes.
I'll get Farcry for sure, probably get the PC version of FSW for some more coop fun and I'm toying with the idea of getting DW5 as I do have a bit of a soft spot for the series.
My days of not taking you seriously have certainly come to a middle.

Urge to kill, rising.
Or maybe that is just my urge to play more Oblivion.
Daemonica looks to be a more interesting mostly point-n-click adventure than Scratches turns out to be. It's a full 3D game with some "simplistic" combat, or so I've read at the reviews pointed to by this article at Four Fat Chicks.

Can someone please explain what they see in FarCry? Is it the water shader? I mean, can that justify $60? I'm really confused.

For me it's Stephen Dorff's voice. *Swoon*
