The Dark Knight Rises Catch-All

I want a DiCaprio cameo where he's just happily strolling down the streets of Gotham.

That's exquisite.

Thought I saw a blurb that they started shooting this week.

Loved the look for Bane. Tom Hardy will definitely steal the show. He already did in Inception, and I've heard wonders from Bronson. This guy's going far.

Can't wait to hear/read more about the viral stuff WB will be coming with for the movie. 2012 can't come soon enough!!!

My parents are near Pittsburgh this week. Maybe they'll see something.

If it's got his daughter than it's probably just him in a bunch of flashbacks with her.

Spoiler:

I have a feeling that Nolan will want to take this full circle, which means bring Ra's al Ghul back. It makes sense, especially because neither Catwoman or Bane are really great main villains.

Spoiler:

Or better yet, if he comes back while channeling Taken. WHO KIDNAPPED MY DAUGHTER! I WILL TEAR DOWN GOTHAM IF I HAVE TO

Spoiler:

Talia and Ra's? This is EXACTLY what i wanted for the end of the nolan trilogy. Thank you for reading my mind!

Oh I disagree entirely

WHO WOULDN'T WANT THAT ARC?!??

Spoiler:

Liam Neeson didn't play R'as Al Ghul, he played Ducard. Unless I'm missing some double identity thing, or that Ducard and R'as al Ghul are always linked

Spoiler:

What you missed was the end of the movie, where Batman runs into Liam Neeson again, and promptly declares 'you're dead!' where it was revealed that R'as al Ghul was actually Ducard, not that other guy.

But why on earth are we spoiling Batman Begins in the third movie thread?

Thinking about it, my memory of Begins is a bit foggy, especially the second half apart from the broad strokes.

Could it be foreshadowing a retelling of No Man's Land?

Just kidding, that would suck. I wouldn't be surprised if it had little or no significance though, most of the DK posters were pretty odd.

Probably "just" Bane.

They're in Limbo.

We have to go deeper!

I think they just arrange the buildings that way to make a bat. You can see the outline of it at the tops of the skyscrapers. It is sort of similar to the insignia that Batman has on his chest and many of his devices.

Captain! Obvious thing is Obvious!:P

I think people are more talking about all the buildings being semi-destroyed and the chunks of falling rock and debris.

The rocks represent caves which are made of rock and where bats like to live. You see Batman has a "Batcave" that's filled with bats and his bat themed accoutrements.

I'd imagine it's more a nod to the fact that in each of Nolan's movies, sh*t just keeps getting worse and worse for Gotham, and Bats is always in the middle of it trying to staunch the bleeding. This being Nolan's finale, the poster implies that times are at their worst for Gotham and Batman is the only hope for saving it (hero it needs, not the hero it deserves, blah blah blah), although being at the center of the buildings also gives me the impression that he is at the center of it and, true to the mythos, is also (in)directly contributing to the destruction.

Bruce Wayne should just move to a better city. Seriously, Gotham seems like a sh*t-hole.

Batman hanging out in Miami?
