We're supposed to be getting a new video each day of the conference.

FYI I start a new job Monday. So i wont be posting anything until later in the afternoons this week.

Grats on the job, what will you be doing?

DBA/Reporting work for the grant dept at UT.

No big reveal at the EA press conference. Boo.

I sat through it wondering what the point of that trailer was.

It was like %30 new footage cut into a bunch of the old stuff they had out a year ago.

I was chanting "announce the date" in my head over and over and then... SSX. Bah.

The way Dr. Greg was talking, I thought for sure they were going to set a date for an open beta or some other large scale beta.

I peed in my pants a little.

That was amazing.

I loved almost everything about that. If I had one complaint, it is that the smuggler in it is pretty much just space John Marston.

Yeah, better than all of the best parts of the prequel movies combined.

'Choose' was always going to be shown at the E3 press conference. Unfortunately for us, we had a timing issue which put it live on Origin.com before the conference started.

'Return' we saved for our fans worldwide, debuting it on The Old Republic website at the same time the press conference started. If you haven't watched it yet, see it here. 'Return' is also the intro cinematic to The Old Republic - you'll see it when you start the game.

There will be no release date announced during E3 2011, and no pre-order details either. Our release date window has not changed. We are still aiming to release Star Wars: The Old Republic in the second half of 2011.

While I know many of you believed a release date announcement was going to happen - which is understandable - as I've said before, an announcement of that size will effectively be 'pre-announced', and we will not 'bait and switch' you. We aren't going to lay a trail of subtle clues that lead to a release date announcement. We'll be obvious. We're just not there yet.

E3's not over yet, though. This week we'll be allowing the world's media and fan sites to get hands-on with The Old Republic at the EA booth, and they'll be reporting back on their experiences on Tatooine as well as seeing gameplay on Alderaan. Last but not least, they'll get a glimpse at Operation: Eternity Vault, some of the high-end content in The Old Republic.

We're bringing much of this to you on The Old Republic web site this week, so keep checking back - although I will pre-warn you, our Alderaan coverage will be slightly delayed (look for it in a few weeks).

I know many of you are disappointed. I know you want a release date - believe me, all of us know that. It is coming, I promise, and you'll hear about it before it arrives - not through subtle clues, but through obvious signs.

Damn you SWTOR for making all of the classes seem so cool! Though I can't recall seeing an Imperial Agent in anything yet...

I'm not even a SW fan and that trailer was awesome. Maybe even better than Blizzards CGI

I think the twi'lek female in the first cinematic trailer (the sacking of Coruscant) was an Imperial Agent.

edit: actually she could have been a companion.

She is and a smuggler on top of that.

If you go back to the last Fan Summit right before the pvp information was leaked you can find info on the IA. Most people played Imperial classes during that play through. There was also some write ups about the IA and their pvp experiences as well. If you want the complete down and dirty info that is spoilerish in nature there's the link in the OP for that as well.

The problem with the Imperial Agent is they don't really have any archetypes in existing canon so they just feel a little bolted on.

There are just so successful you don't hear about them.

So did the Sith Warrior earn dark side points for murdering an ally, or light side points for killing an evil Sith Inquisitor?
