All right gents. We are getting down to it. Conference Championships are right around the corner. Stay healthy. stupid Buffalo

Holy sh*t, awesome game.

Beating a dead horse, wish we could watch other user games. /sigh

And you were right, I do only have 9 wins. Damn it. I need to win my bowl game for my third 10 win season.

Yeah, congratulations on your championship in the other league as well! That sounds like an awesome game (vs. Kansas). I too wish we could watch them, that would be a pretty cool feature.

I'm excited for bowl season as well. I'll put my team on "Auto" until Bowl season because I only have 2 scholarships left and will have to cut people regardless.

Wow. Just...wow.

NIU beats the Jayhawkers 38-31 on a hail mary with time expiring (gaining an achievement!) to cap a 24 point 4th quarter that included tying the game with only 1:48 left. The last play was run as NIU rushed to the line after a completed pass over the middle left them with only 6 sec and no time outs.

This game had everything: pick-6s by both sides, fumbles returned for a TD, fumbles returned for TD that was called back after a review (leading to a 4th-and-20 conversion that kept NIU in the game), recovered onside kicks followed by an INT followed by a forced fumble returned for a TD as Kansas tried to run out the clock, LONG pass plays (50, 51, 82 yds, etc) by both sides, a pass thrown by the NIU QB as he was getting nailed that floated into double coverage and ended up being tipped by 2 defenders before my WR grabbed it at his shoelaces, a blitzing Kansas safety batting the ball up at the line only to intercept it himself, NIU going 4-4 on crucial 4th down conversions, and a total of 7 turnovers.

NIU overcame *5* INTs by their quarterback, including at least 3 in the redzone, 4 sacks, innumerable hurries, and -35 yards rushing to win the game.

Kansas looked good coming out of the gates, scoring two long TDs in the first half to take the halftime lead 17-7. NIU stiffened on defense, but every time they got within 10 points, I threw a pick or stalled on offense giving Kansas an easy score. At the end of the third quarter, NIU was down 31-14, but I was driving through the redzone. I scored early in the 4th and then got lucky!

Great two days of virtual football for me!

Yeah, congratulations on your championship in the other league as well! That sounds like an awesome game (vs. Kansas).

Thanks! and it was!

I'm pretty happy about winning the other league...I've been playing online with Goodjers since 2004 and had never won one until last night!

I'm uploading a few of the crazier plays, including the tipped reception, forced fumble returned for a TD in the 4th, crazy Kansas INT returned for a TD, and the last play of the game, of course!

This is one that would definitely have been fun for an outsider to watch, even if only in review.

EDIT: Oh, and this was only my 4th rated classic game, behind the one I played with Counselor earlier this season. (Oh, and stupid Buffalo!)

Great game, firejerk!

Thanks for getting the new thread up, Leroy. I have transferred commish duries over to you now. I will still play my C-USA Championship game and a bowl game. But I do have my team set to autopilot.

Ok. I got the email that the league rolled and saw you made me commish.

Great game, firejerk!

Damn you, Leroy, and your trendsetting. Or is this just because your Jayhawkers couldn't pull out a close one?

Also...

- (***) HB Cameron Freeman has committed to Northern Illinois

Can I please change his first name to Gordon?

I have no problems with this.

Pretty much both.

I think you mean defending MAC Champion Buffalo.

Only if his in-game model is just a set of hands holding the football.

So how are we looking this week? I got my recruiting done but forgot to check the status of the other teams. It said 6/8 ready when I finished my recruiting.

I set mine to autopilot. I'm pretty sure that means we are all ready, since Coolbeans is also on autopilot. But the the 6/8 is not always consistent.

My plan is just to play out the rest of my games and not worry about more recruiting.

I'm on autopilot as well for recruiting and will turn it off after we roll to the Bowl games!

I still have to play, but I plan on doing that tonight.

Coolness. It's bar night trivia tonight, I think I can roll it when I get home around midnight.

Game played. I beat Pittsburgh, 49-35. It was quite the shootout. I was up 21, then they came back to tie it to start the 4th. I got two nice TD drives, and my defense held to win the game.

Recruiting complete.

League rolled. Thread coming as soon as the game finishes it's tasks
