Batman: Arkham City Catch-All

Well at least the site isn't updated yet. Amazon has no bonus, nor shows the PC version like Walmart and BB, but I'm sure they'll carry it. Still hope I guess for Amazon.

Or you can always wait for a GotY box a year later.

Come on steam, hurry up and list it already.

On related news... Batman Arkham Asylum is $7.50 on steam at the moment for the midweek madness sale. I always agonize over this. I have the retail disc, but not the steam version. I'm so damn tempted but can never force myself to pull the trigger.

If you don't have the GotY those extra challenge maps cost $3 each. So it's just $1.50 for the convenience of Steam. And a whole 2nd set of 1000 points, if you're an achievement whore.

Ex achievement whore. I thankfully got over my addiction there... well for the most part.

Yea, it's extremely tempting. Gonna sit on it for the rest of the day and see how I feel tomorrow morning. Still, having it on steam would let me play it at work during lunch... hmmm...

BAC is one of the very few games I'll be paying full-price for this year. Can't bloody wait. Saw a dev interview recently that said the game world is FIVE TIMES bigger than BAA.

Just read Batman: Arkham City #1 via my iPad. It's written by Paul Dini, who did the story for the first game, and will be doing the sequel. The comic will be five issues, and covers what happened from the end of the first game to the beginning of the new game.

I'd say it is not awesome, but it is also not bad. I think it will be decent fan service, at least.

#2 drops June 8th.

Arleen Sorkin not returning as voice of Harley Quinn

That's really quite the pity. And somewhat strange, wonder what the reasons for the change are.

I didn't realize the change at first, I had to look at some batman TAS vids, but there is a difference, but Tara Strong seems to deliver a wonderful interpretation as seen in this vid

The new Harley at 1:08 has got to be the hottest videogame character I've ever seen.

2nd only to Catwoman, now a playable character(!)

Ooohhh. That's awesome.

Though I still prefer my women blonde and crazy.

I wouldn't have known that wasn't Arleen Sorkin from that short clip; I think the new actress may be just about perfect.

Watching that clip made me realize how impoverished I'm going to be this fall. Too much stuff to buy.

Looking to be a dry summer, though. So you have time to save.

Yeah, I agree. She does a great job. There is no reason to be sorry that Arleen Sorkin is gone.

Another reason to not be sad, Arleen Sorkin portrait:

versus the Tara Strong portrait:

I think we all know who we'd rather have voicing Harley Quinn now.

I counted 9 'obvious day ones' for me this Fall (Sept-Thanksgiving) on Amazon today. 9. Although I do agree about this Summer being dry. It looks like it'll be Infamous 2 and catching up on old stuff.

Back away from the scalpel, ma'am.

Are you planning to keep those portraits around to look at during loading screens or something? 'Cause otherwise I really can't see how that makes any difference.

Not that Tara Strong's rendition is BAD by any means, but at least going by that short clip, she went kind of "generic sexpot" with it as opposed to Sorkin's more distinctive-sounding psychotic version.

I only heard the one line by Tara Strong and it sounded more or less like she was emulating the Sorkin voice. Of course I wish Sorkin was still doing it. I was just making a joke.

The difference is the mental picture I have whilst in my bunk.

Catwoman will be a playable character in Batman: Arkham City - Trailer

She will take up around 10% of the full game and will involve story missions, combat, exploration of the city and stealth.

EDIT: Ah crap, shouldn't have skimmed. Apologies

Don't worry, it wasn't a cat-astrophe. meowww.

God, this looks so cool.

There are far too many good games I want to buy coming out in autumn. When do they usually start announcing delays so they get spaced out a bit, or alternatively how long until they drop in price?

There's a good number of great games, but unlike the past two years I don't think it's a overwhelming amount. Diablo 3 and Max Payne 3 I don't think are likely this year. And besides Game Informer, we haven't heard anything on Tomb Raider, so that's a question mark. I've no doubt that the second half of this year will be more quality and less quantity than previous years.

I think Tomb Raider is 2012.

Somebody like a Batman could have probably boosted their sales if they were able to release in July or August this year. Just seems like it's wide open for somebody to do some really nice sales, vs being in all the other stuff coming out in the fall.

Let's see....

Deus Ex
Resistance 3
Rage
Gears of War 3
Arkham City
Space Marine
Tropico 4 <---(personally)
Darkness 2
Battlefield 3
Uncharted 3
Skyrim
Assassin's Creed Revelations
Modern Warfare 3

Granted, a lot of these are shooters and the list is considerably smaller if you don't like those.

Some good music in these trailers. The Heavy in the official trailer and Lykke Li in the Catwoman.

For Irongut!

At first, McChuck, I thought it was very weird that Valve had gotten into music video promotions.
