NCAA 11 GWJBCS (Xbox 360): Year 3 Championship Week, Bowl Season and Off-Season

I have some nice highlights from Week 2-3 ready to go. Obviously, I still have to sift through 3-14. Week 1 highlights are completely missing for some reason. Oh well.

I have to remember next time to clip highlights as the season goes along, lol.

Okay, so it wouldn't save any time. If they could move all of this to the web, THAT would be a useful expansion of their web services. It would seem like players leaving, transfers, training updates, and cuts would all be super easy to do online.

Doing the offseason on the web would be awesome. Maybe we could try and get together one night since there's only 10 of us now. We could knock the offseason out pretty quick. Or at least the 5 weeks of recruiting.

Huskies wrap up a rather disappointing season with a disappointing loss to Nebraska.

The Huskers were really undermanned being without what should've been their starting HB (no worries though their backup was only 2nd in the Heisman) and QB Taylor Martinez.

Nebraska really just pounded the ball at me like no computer team has this year, our defense gave up 116 yards on the ground, when we'd given up less then 600 total on the year.

I thought I had caught the break I needed when late in the third we picked off a pass, which my LB subsequently fumbled but we won a challenge to keep the ball. I just couldn't capitalize.

Nebraska scored the go ahead TD with about 1:45 left in the game, and I managed to march down field a ways before throwing my only INT of the game.

Final score 21-14.

Shonuff ... when should we start the pain of trying to get the NC in? I'm sorta' thinking we should wait for all the other games to get played to make it the last game of the season, but I imagine that will happen anyway because we'll be unable to connect.

Late nights work best for me, especially 11 pm start times. I could probably start earlier, but late evenings are always going to work best.

You folks that played last year -- what ended up fixing this for you? Leaving the dynasty then being re-upped by the commish?

11 p.m. Tuesday should work.

When Jayhawker and I played in our bowl game a couple seasons ago, we had connection issues. Every time I touched the ball on offense, the game would disconnect. We figured out that it was because of the changes I made to my depth chart. Once I reset it to the default one, we had no more issues. Now I don't touch my depth chart until the game starts.

I will be one in case there is anything you guys need me to do.

Sounds great.

I played my game the other day, with disastrous results.

I was listening to a podcast, so I was distracted anyway, but for some reason I checked out the achievements and saw what a couple of the playbook specific ones were.

So instead of focusing on the game at hand, I spent 3 1/2 quarters trying to get the "2 no-huddle audible TD's while running a spread offense". 6 turnovers later I lose by 7 and didn't even get the achievement.

A solitary turd in the punchbowl that was a pretty good season. Now I'm anxious to get the next one going.

DS can play the frogs as CPU if he wants. I would be down for a head to head game if he wants to play, but I don't want to force him.

I am out of town this weekend visiting my nephews. I'll be back in town tonight. So I'd love to play a human opponent to get more practice. Whatever you guys want to do to get the season rolling, though.

Also, I'm firmly in the camp that wants to play another season of 11 while we wait for 12, then wait for name patches and then work out the kinks of seeing if we want to play 12 for sure.

I will pose the question to the group that I posed on my facebook (facebook.com/kush6978): Is it worse to dream that you died, or that you sh*t yourself? I drempt that I sh*t myself last night, and couldn't fall back to sleep for like 2 hours. And no, it didn't translate to real life.

sh*tting yourself has to be fa worse, I mean, we've all had some dying dreams. But crapping your pants? You will be thinking about that for decades.

For me, I just woke from an insane dream myself. I was helping a friend cover up a murder he had committed of a man who's house he was sitting. This went on for what seemed like months, but we left the body in the basement the who time. This was stressful. But you know what woke me up with terrors?

At some point I was over at the house doing laundry (yeah, I don't get it) and when I opened the door to back area of the basement where the washer and dryer were, I saw a huge spider drop from the sealing to the floor. I ran out of the room. Every time I opened the door, I saw this mega tarantula like spider drop. This was an old house, and the basement felt more like a cellar.

So I decided I had to go in and kill this thing if I was ever going to do the laundry. By the time I got a flashlight and went in, it was now a large beetle, probably more than 12 inches long. Nothing I hit it with did anything, and I was too creeped out try and stomp on it. then the big hairy spider I saw before came back, only now it was red, had a long body like a dragon fly, and could glide through the air at me. It was probably a two fee long. Now I was doing battle with both, and I was screaming like a little girl.

My heart it still beating fast. So giant spiders and bugs are far worse than helping a guy cover up a murder. Who knew?

Pooping your pants because then you gotta live with it.

Use your silver sword to kill monsters.

That was the problem. I think I was using a badminton racket.

Man, I go away for a while, come back and everyone is crapping their pants???

I do have crap my pants story that is almost as good as George Brett's.

NSFW

I like how people are walking away frmo him as he is telling the story, and he's running to catch up to finish the story, lol.

Who's the pitchers in this game?

I love it.

DS, are you still down for H2H vs. TCU? If we can get me switched over, I can play any time this week after ~7pm CST. If not, feel free to trounce the CPU at your leisure. I don't want to hold up the whole league for my own selfish reasons.

Edit: Except for tonight. today is the wedding anniversary, and I would not live long enough to finish a quarter if I asked her to wait on dinner for a league game.

Just explain it's a *league* game, not just a random one. I'm sure she'd understand.

Tell her to throw on a cheerleading outfit and support you in this!!!

I would love to play that HvH. Same thing. After 7pm PST, though.

Sounds good. How about tomorrow evening, 7pm PST?

Hoppa, I think you can make the change yourself. If you cannot, then let me know and I will move you to TCU.

Oh, sure enough, from the web page. Big shiny "Switch Teams" button on the left side.

I'll sneak on and check it from the xbox when I get home. Should be set now.

Does this mean you are coming back to play?

Congrats to firesloth! I got destroyed in the BCS title game 56-35. I'm proud of my team for overachieving and holding on to the #1 ranking for a few weeks. It was only a matter of time until my lack of speed caught up with me.
