Palin Begins Exploratory Bus Tour: To Anchorage or Bust

The Republicans do have good ideas and a good platform.

Do they? The only platform I seem to hear any more is "Obama is a socialist from Kenya or wherever and we hate everything he does! Even things we were for a couple of years ago!" If they had ideas and wanted to actually do something except sit on the sidelines and moan, we'd have more than fame-junkies and third-stringers trying for the job.

Today's Democratic party does have some similarities to the Republican party of the 90's. You might even say we never did lose the Republican party: we lost the Democrats.

This certainly can't help Palin should she be insane enough to run for the nomination.

AP Exclusive: Former Palin aide pens tell-all

Why did she have to pick my state to move to?
Hmmmm....
Why did she have to pick the state I'm living in right now to move to?

McCain says Palin can beat Obama.

"Of course she can. She can. Now, whether she will or not, whether she'll even run or not, I don't know," the Arizona Republican said on "Fox News Sunday."

Bold mine. What else is he going to say on the Republican Propaganda Channel?

Yeah, because McCain is an expert at beating Obama with Palin.

Right...

And she continued to insist the bus, which looks like a campaign bus, is not a campaign bus. And that she, who is sounding very much like a candidate, is not a candidate.

"This isn't a campaign bus," she said. "This is a bus to be able to express to America how much we appreciate our foundation and to invite more people to be interested in all that is good about America and to remind ourselves we don't need to fundamentally transform America. We need to restore what's good about America."

We need to restore what's good about America.

While I agree with those literal words, when she says them, I hear, "America is for white people."

I just can't understand the meaning of those words. It requires the thought that the vast majority of things achieved in America over the last 60-75 years are bad things. That there's some earlier version of America we need to be returning to.

We're not perfect, but I think we've done a bang-up job at moving forward for a nation that, in a historical sense, is a teenager.

It looks like Palin has had a sneak peak of Bioshock Infinite and assumed it was historical reality.

You know what used to be great about America, weirdos like Palin didn't used to get any media coverage.

Can we go back to the days of just newspapers?

Precisely.

Every time I encounter someone talking about how America is going to hell in a handbasket, I remind them that in 1972 (4 years after the passage of the Civil Rights Act and Fair Housing Act), my family was forced to sit for a "neighborhood interview" because the good white folks of Ellicott City, Maryland didn't know if they felt comfortable with a chinky family moving into their lily white burb. If folks were that bold about racism in Howard County, I can't imagine how bad things must have been in the myriad sundown towns.

In 1972 wasn't Howard County still very "country"?

Media obsesses over Palin, ignores Romney

This is the age we live in, moving towards the idiocracy, where low IQ dimwits like Palin get loads of front page coverage, and people of substance get ignored.

FTA: "Sarah Palin has mesmerized the cable shows by revving a bus and riding a Harley."

She's like a wind-up Chatty Cathy doll. Pull the string, "Old fashioned values!" - "We were a once great nation" - "Joe Six Pack!"

I now must search the internets for the footage of Palin riding a Harley.

Is she riding Female Doggo?

I think your forgot an "a" after "she".

Funny thing about that biker convention, the organizers of it had stated "she's not invited". They said she could show up if she wanted, but they heavily implied they didn't want her there.

I think it's time someone spiked a drink of hers with LSD.

Would we even notice the difference? She's already pretty erratic and incoherent.

Missing the Fairness Doctrine already?

I htink Dr G refers to a popular biker T-shirt design. "If you can read it, it means the Female Doggo fell off".

At the dentist this morning, CNN had some guy who was trying to chase the Palin Mystery Machine and get a good story out of it, he even used his Flip Cam to ask her a question for the TV. The best part was when he said she is really doing a good job being erratic and hard to predict, making it tough to follow her; the woman hosting the show then asked (rhetorically, unfortunately) what would happen if they just stopped following her. I laughed out loud, getting odd looks from the receptionists.

I'm almost giddy with joy! She is having a meeting and dinner with Trump! Could this be a Palin/Trump ticket in the making?

That would be the official beginning of the Idiocracy.

Plus I doubt Trump would play 2nd fiddle to anyone, especially a moron.
