2 games in. One to go.

Interesting that you chose to put this in the Games and Platforms thread...

Oh, and we're actually done. Bighoppa and Leroy both played yesterday, and Jayhawker played today.

Sorry. I fixed it. It was a rough night that night before with one of my kids having night terrors.

I will roll the league when I get home and we can get on with the bowls!

Whoa! Where did this thread come from?!?!?!

Holy crap, you can move your threads to different boards??! I haven't seen that on a forum before. Very nice.

When you edit the original post, you can also change the forum that it is in.

I would just edit the title of this one to read "Bowl Week" instead of "Championship Week". That way, we don't have to recreate a thread once your roll.

That's the worst. Believe it or not, we found that when our boy was having "night terrors" it was often associated with having to go to the bathroom and not knowing it. He would wake up inconsolable and illogical, then once we convinced him to pee, he was fine. Still, every kid is different.

I remember having a night terror as a kid. It was about that stupid cymbal clapping monkey. Thing still creeps me out.

It is very strange they come and go. Most nights she is calm and doesn't wake up until it is time to get up. But some nights, right around 2:30 - 3 o'clock she wakes up screaming and wants nothig to do with anybody. It has to be a bad dream, but what is she dreaming about that she can't get out of. One day, it will pass, but it does get crazy.

We had the same experience -- he didn't want to have anything to do with anyone. I always got the sense that he wasn't actually awake. It's almost spooky.

We are now into the Bowls.

#1 Northwestern (shonuff27) will face #2 Notre Dame (firesloth) in the BCS National Championship.

#11 Boise State (Counselar) will face Cal in the Emerald Bowl.

#16 Georgia will face #14 Michigan (HansomB1derful) in the Capital One Bowl.

Houston (BigHoppa) will face Auburn in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.

#19 Kansas (Jayhawker) will face #10 Alabama in the AT&T Cotton Bowl.

#5 LSU (LeroyOG) will face #6 Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl.

#8 Oregon State (DSGamer) will face #3 TCU in the Rose Bowl.

#12 Pittsburgh (shag26) will face #21 Virginia Tech in the Orange Bowl®.

Rutgers (Kush15) will face Memphis in the Armed Forces Bowl.

#13 Washington (Redhwk) will face #15 Nebraska in the Alamo Bowl.

Hoppa, I know you want to play with TCU before next season but they are scheduled to play Oregon State (DSGamer). I will leave it up to DS if he wants to wait and play against you in the bowl or just play the game.

Also after the bowls, I will be booting Yankee(Coolbeans) and Jayhawker because one hasn't played and then other wants to play other games on the system. We will run with 10 people for Season 4 and play only 3 human games and try and roll through Season 4 before July 12th.

Sounds good.

LSU thumps OU in the Sugar Bowl. Shepperd runs for over 200 yards in the route which features a TD that was ruled incomplete, was reviewed and overturned and then was taken off the board. Weirdness.

Jon Townes opens the game with a TD kickoff return and that was all she wrote.

Also, I'm looking forward to the video that Kush puts together for us.

I actually plan on working on that tonight while I have to stay from 3-5pm at work while everyone else leaves. I have some ideas for the music, now I just have to narrow it down to the one.

Sounds good. I do want to say that I've enjoyed playing with all of you. I will probably be back ready and raring to go come Septemberish, as college football kicks off and I once again have dreams that Turner Gill will me the savior of Mt. Oread.

I concur with Jayhawker, this core group of NCAA is completely awesome. My suggestion to the group is to keep NCAA11 going, even after NCAA12 ships, until we are ready to start up the new league(s). The release date is July 12th, but since we won't get NCAA12 off the ground instantly, maybe we can go until July 31st (depending on where we are at in the league) and officially kick off the NCAA12 campaign on August 1st, which will give our commissioner time to set up the new league, and we can tweak settings to continue the awesomeness of our group.

Thoughts?

I'm on board for that. And I agree, it's been very fun playing with you guys. The trash talking and good nature has been great.

Thoughts?

I agree. Keep the league going until we're ready for the '12 dynasty. We have to wait until we can get the rosters with the names typed in, plus there might be a patch or two needed.

Armed Forces Bowl to be played tonight. Rutgers looking for it's first Bowl victory in the BCS league.

I'm going to knock the Cotton Bowl out now. Roll tide, my ass.

I should get my game in sometime tonight. An old Big East game for the Orange Bowl.

Shonuff ... when should we start the pain of trying to get the NC in? I'm sorta' thinking we should wait for all the other games to get played to make it the last game of the season, but I imagine that will happen anyway because we'll be unable to connect.

Late nights work best for me, especially 11 pm start times. I could probably start earlier, but late evenings are always going to work best.

You folks that played last year -- what ended up fixing this for you? Leaving the dynasty then being re-upped by the commish?

We tried so many things that I forget. I played in a National Championship game on tuesday night and it locked up twice. I didn't feel like fighting it so I dropped that league. You will want Shag available. We got lucky since Shag and Kush could call each other.

But it's gonna' be the SHINY! How will we resist??

By the way, can we skip redshirting this offseason? Does it save us anytime to do so? We won't see the benefits of redshirting players (4 seasons down the road), so I think we should just have them all available.

Redshirting is done in the preseason week.

Players Leaving
Transfers
Recruiting1-5 and signing day
Training
Cuts
then preseason.

I had a problem with a bowl game when playing Pitt or Washington one season. The issue boiled down to the game not loading the same rosters for each team. The moment a player took the field that was placed in different slots on each team, the game crashed.

We solved it by going thought our depth charts and correcting any disparities.

I would look first at injured guys that get placed back in the depth chart.

In other news, Kansas finished the season with three losses, as the stupid pachyderms win 41-28 in the Cotton Bowl. The Jayhawks had taken a 21-7 lead, but just could not keep scoring.

It will be worth looking at my last highlight in the game, as a Jordan Webb pass smacks Tavis Smiley in the back of the helmet, and over his head into his hands, allowing him to score his 3rd TD of the game.

Oh, and his name is Trent, but when I see T. Smiley, I always call him Tavis.

Good season everyone, and good luck next year!

That's awesome!

I played a bit in my offline dynasty this morning. I was up a lot on Ball State as NIU, so I subbed in my second stringers. They punted the ball and downed it on the 1 inch line. Like an idiot, I called a screen pass. It fooled everyone but one of their LBs. I lofted the ball over his head as my QB was smashed, and my HB caught the ball 5 yards deep in my own endzone...and somehow managed to elude the LB and go all the way for a TD. It rocked! From catching the ball to scoring was 105 yards, but it only counted as a 99 yard pass play. By my backups.
