I was on so I played my somewhat strange game against Temple.

NIU comes up with the victory 40-17. I should have known things would work out well when I took a screen pass for a 77 yd TD on the first play from scrimmage. Unfortunately, Temple scored soon thereafter to make it 7-7 only 1:30 into the game. That was all the scoring in the first quarter, but I had a monster 21 point second quarte. My best run of the day came in the third quarter: my MLB intercepted a pass and returned it 53 yards for a TD.

Actually, my best *two* runs came on INTs by LBs, the last coming with only a minute left in the 4th. I was also proud that I made the pay for leaving me 30 sec before the half after they scored a TD to bring it close, allowing me to score a TD.

My punter played a big role in the second half, pinning them deep several times. That, plus a nice clipping penalty, pushed them back far enough that a sack in the endzone gave me a safety for the last points of the game.

My QB went 19-29 for 256 yds and 3 TDs. My running game was awful, netting nearly 35 yards! My O-line is bad. No run up the middle will gain positive yardage.

Go EMU! (Man, I feel dirty...)

Good game Sloth, my LB's ran well too!

SDSU beats UNLV to remain ranked.

I uploaded 4 of the harder hits I can remember.

All I was thinking about was starting a dynasty for next year's game as a D-Coordinator, so I didn't care about offense.

My 3rd string HB got hurt, so I un-redshirted my 5th stringer to try to get that "accomplishment." He had 2 TDs, but got hurt near the end, so one of my special teams LB's who had 2 FF and 2 FR got the player of the game (the 4th video of him is the best).

Thanks, Firesloth.

I'm on jury duty again. So Hansom, let me know when a good time for you to play is. Thursday is pretty much out as my daughter has her 8th grade promotion ceremony. Wednesday may be tough, as she is having a buddy over to watch chick flicks.

Tonight may work. But that is complicated by when I might be picking my wife up from work.

Just as there are no atheists in a fox hole, there are only racists in a jury selection pool. Of course, there are those that WANT to get picked for jury duty....

Thanks for the vote of confidence but CMU has the MAC West locked up. They will finish with only 1 conference loss....IF i can beat them

Is that CST?

I think I can make that work tonight. I'm home from and done with jury duty. 10:30 CST might be closer to what I am looking at.

I'm EST.

Friday might work better for me. I've got an early day the next 2 days.

EMU defeats CMU in a sloppy sloppy game. EMU had 3 turnover to CMU's 2, fortunately EMU's first two scores came off pic 6's. CMU's kicker is unreal. That jerk was knocking everything in.

That should work out. I'll let you know if there is a problem.

Saturday is my birthday, so the wife may have plans for me that i am not aware of. But probably not.

Buffalo tramples all over Ball State. James Potts made a triumphant return to the lineup, and added 180 yards to his career totals.

I also grabbed two instant commitments.

A good week, all in all.

I don't know how in the hell I lost to Ball State...they're 1-7 in MAC play. Why'd I have to be the 1?? Oh, that's right, I gave up 12 points in the 4th to lose 15-14.

Seriously, though, the MAC East sucks, Buffalo excepted. The next closest to Buffalo in total W-L record is 5-6 Temple and the second place team in the MAC is at 3-4. I suspect Buffalo will be the only team that gets a bowl bid. (Temple plays Maryland in their last game...good luck with that.)

In the MAC West the top four teams have overall records 9-2, 8-3, 7-3, 9-3. There are only 7 MAC losses amongst those top four teams, which means we kicked a lot of MAC East butt this season for none of us to have more than 2 in-conference losses.

Looks like it'll be Buffalo v. Central Michigan in the championship. Good luck, Counselor.

Central's kicker is god. Beware.

EMU will get a bowl bid. We had another 10 win season.

By the way, I started a new offline dynasty with NIU to get a chance to practice with our current slider settings. I was in a dogfight with Western Michigan...I let them tie the game with under a minute to go. I drove down the field to the 34 with 20 sec left. I figured I'd take a few shots to get me a bit closer for an attempted game winning field goal.

Well, things change...the following is perhaps the best Hail Mary-ish catch I've yet seen in the game. I let the ball go a bit late, giving the safety time to get over there...I didn't even realize I had caught it.

Some video...

1st and 10 from the WMU 35. 20 seconds left in the 4th.

A better (?) view.

This just makes up for all the times the CPU has done this to me (I'm looking at you, Central Michigan)!

Well, 9 win season so far...no telling who you'll have to face in the bowl and how good they might be with these sliders!

It doesn't update win totals till the week is rolled. I am unofficially 10-3

nice catch!! lmao, thats some accuracy right there.

Hansom, there is a very good chance that I won't be available tonight. I am going to try, but I won't blame you if you have something else to do and not make it.

You punks!!!!! THE LOT OF YOU! And by lot I mean Handsom and Jayhawker. Booourns

Sloth, those pictures are awesome, I love the last-minute wins or losses, they make the game intense and memorable.

My favorite last second play for this year's game was in Year 3 of my offline dynasty. I had taken the Penn St. job after being at SDSU for 2 seasons. I scheduled SDSU to play at Happy Valley for the first game of the season. They scored with I think 7 seconds to play to take a 2 point lead. I then had 7 seconds from the 20 yard line to try to score. I wanted to get near the 50 (which probably would have been impossible anyways) to try a legitimate hail mary. One of my WR's got open on the outside and was able to catch it and ran all the way for the game winner (kind of like the LSU/Kentucky play from a few years back, but without the tip).

Jay, I'm leaving town this afternoon and won't be back until later tomorrow evening. If you want to move me to another team and play it I'm cool with it.

My season is kind of lost anyway and I don't want to hold anyone up.

I'm up in the air on this one. I don't really have time to play today anyway. Tomorrow would have been more free, as apparently lawyers don't observe the holiday, so my wife is going to work.

I'm tempted to just let sim, as the game isn't too important in the scheme of things.

Ahem!!!

Shhh.... I'm trying to poop.

Make sure you pull those pants down first.

Sorry guys. I've lost focus. I will sim our our game, roll the league, and pass commish reigns over to Leroy in the morning.
