LMAO! wtf SDSU!!

haha!! Leroy, if you wanna run with the Big Dogs, you have to PAY like the Big Dogs! We finally pulled out the credit cards and made it happen!

I had 17 Soft Verbals last week, so I knew this week would be good.

USC has nothing on SDSU!

I'd take the 4-star players from Northern Illinois over my group any day though.

Seriously, I think Fire is employing the cheerleader option.

I couldn't afford the XBL points to buy the cheerleader option this season.

Four commits, and my week sucked!

- (****) WR Ira Smith has committed to Northern Illinois
- (****) WR Michael Ginn has committed to Northern Illinois
- (****) WR Derrick Hayes has committed to Northern Illinois

Yeah, but did you notice that three of them were WRs? I wish one or two could have been something useful...

For those keeping score, that's four 4* WRs this season. I may be running a lot of 5 WR sets next season.

EMU takes care of Ball State on a snowy Saturday afternoon.

Hopefully some of those WR's can play CB as well.

Leroy, I love the snowy games, not many in SD though. I bet in the '12 game weather will look even more realistic.

SDSU beats New Mexico (2-6) 63-16. I ran it up a bit because: a. I was frustrated by their intense rush defense (but porous passing D) and b. They could not seem to keep the ball off the ground.

I also blocked a punt which is the first in a long time for me (but I was unable to recover it, I uploaded the highlight).

Done.

The game found a new way to screw me. I sacked the guy in the endzone for a safety right...WRONG! Even though the knee and the ball were clearly several feet behind the goal-line they just got to move on to 3rd down, ball at the 1.

I challenge, and win which somehow ends with the same results, they still have a 3rd down at the 1.

I've never seen this game get something this wrong before. I was dumbstruck.

What the hell?

I had a pretty good one in my game versus Ball State. The defender actually never turned around to look at the QB and was able to intercept the pass. That's right. The ball was snapped, defender turned his back to the play, I threw it over his head and he knew when to jump, turn and grab it.

I might be able to sneak into the rankings (I've noticed I'm receiving votes). My losses to Cincy and Leroy were legitimate, but I wish I had quit running the option 1-week earlier. My 1-point loss to TCU is killing me! Although I missed a 43-yard field goal as time expired, I wonder if I could have performed better with my familiar Wake Forest playbook! I'm excited to see how the season ends as well.

I'm not out of the MAC hunt yet. I have a big game in two weeks against CMU. I hope Kinsman Thomas can be probable but I doubt it. i need to beat CMU and have them lose one more. Then I need NIU to lose one more MAC game....slim chances but I'm still in it.

It was a hard fought game, but my SMU Mustangs finally pulled away for a 38-24 upset of #21 Houston.

It turns out that Line was listed as Probably for the game, and this time he made it through the whole game. But it was a chore getting him going. He finished the 1st half with just 24 yards on 9 carries. And really, wit wasn't until the fourth quarter when he head three runs of 12, 17, and 19 yards in the course of one drive that he was able to get over the hundred yard mark. But Kyle Padron had a solid game, making it to 2600 yards on the season.

Houston opened the game with a long TD drive, capped by a 39 yard TD pass. But Kyle Guinyard returned the ensuing kickoff back for a 102 yard TD. From there, it was pretty much a back and forth game. SMU finally pulled out ot a full seven point lead with a FG late in the fourth. Not only was Houston unable to mount a TD drive, but sacks on 3rd and 4th down handed SMU the ball on the one yard line. Line took advantage of the gift of field position for his only TD of the day. Freshman Nick Thompson, who filled in while Line was injured, mopped up at the end of two drives to steal two TD runs from Line, of one and two yards.

I doubt this gets SMU into the rankings, as we just have too many losses. But maybe a few votes, and then a decvent bowl game against a ranked team could get us there.

My team goals for this season are:
C-USA Championship - On target
Top 25 finish - not impossible
January Bowl game - not probable

It will be fun to see how we close this season out.

I don't know...I've lost two MAC games in a row. In the fourth quarter. DAMNIT! I'm still bitter. I'm still not sure how I lost those games.

Central Michigan is cruising. I need to derail that train. I know you are rooting for me to win and it hurts because of the tiny chance I sneak by you.

Bulls beat the Golden Flashes in a walk.

NIU gets back in the win column, beating Ohio 28-17. Ohio has a very good QB, but we shut them out in the second half. Nice to get a win.

Let's roll!!
