Multi? Yes. Single player? Yeah, i'm gonna stay up for that. I have absolutely no control, will power or discipline. :D

If this thing actually launches at 12:01 PST I'll probably end up losing some sleep tonight. For science!

Did this PS3 Interview get posted Thurs or not?

This topic has been blazing since Fri and I didn't remember.

It talks a bit about Steam on PS3 and the coop, cloud saves, and so on. And possibilities for DLC and other games and so on. Interesting read.

Leveraged is one of the people who was "abducted"

Actually, the projected time is before 12:01 PDT since Audiosurf was finished--it looks like the "higher effort required to finish" games are worth more. My projection of the final end point is... 12:01 EDT. Which is more fair to us east-coasters. If only it were 12:01 UTC.

I have officially stolen this and made it my spray in tf2.

damn it stole my idea

I am probably spatially challenged but I think the timer just dropped one whole hour (8:25 to 7:25).

*edit*

15:35 - Calculations complete for The Ball. Recalculating a new launch projection...

Yep.

yes, The Ball finished
Killing Floor is being focused now

This may be a stupid question, but my guess is that someone here knows the answer. On the PS3 some content is locked to your machine's hardware ID (for instance a number of saves are unfortunately locked in this manner), other content is instead tied to your PSN id.

1. Does anyone know for sure whether the code in the game links our steam account to our PSN profile or to our PS3 hardware? (I game on two different systems in the house depending on whether my kids are awake or not and what game I'm playing)

2. Does anyone know if we will be signed into PSN and steam simultaneously or if we will be auto signed out of PSN when playing Portal 2 liked we are when watching DVDs?

I really want to wait for my PS3 copy tomorrow, but if they release it at the right time, they could trick me out of $50.

Steam group invite, please.

Oh yeah, can I get one of those too, please?

[Edit] That was absurdly quick.

You've both been tapped.

Oh yeah.

Should we try to get the OP updated with group info?

For me, it says 6:58hrs for projected launch. What takes 7 hrs besides sleep and kinky sex?

Reconstituting a highly advanced, passively-aggressive murderous AI?

Weekly poop.

I think 3 hours is likely. There are four more games to finish and they are knocking off an hour each. Plus there's the thing that Fedora posted which lines up with that projection.

Although, keep in mind that this is a game releasing on Steam. So, today at 7 PST means sometime tomorrow afternoon.

1. From what I've read it sounds like you log into Steam on your PS3, and maybe it even logs you off of your PC steam, just like logging into your laptop logs you out of your desktop or whatever.

2. No idea... the one article mentioned playing with PSN friends if you didn't want to use Steam, but I'm not sure if that means when you log into Steam you lose your PSN friends list or if you can use either one to join with people.

Wars with the combine?

A slightly offball 8-to-3 workday?

I caved and bought the two-pack. If anyone doesn't have the original game, I've got two copies to give away.

I'm ready for tomorrow. Bought the PS3 version so that I could play with a friend and then still have the PC version as well.

Also, can I get an invite to the steam group?

Must.. resist.. The pile.. it mocks me already.. Self-control.. failing.. Noooo..

"Hello, and again, welcome to ..."

And may I have an invite to the steam group, please? Thanks!

Just had another 102MB chunk of the game pushed to me. Must mean we're getting close, right?!

Invite please!

The hype got to me and I bought, steam group invite please.

done & done

Might as well go ahead and give in. Invite please?

Done.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I'm sorry to inform you, there is actually no Portal 2 game. This has all been an elaborate scientific study on the effects of hype on the internet. We apologize for any inconvenience, and would like to thank each of you for your participation.

There will be cake & punch in the lobby.
