Portal 2 Catch-All

Nothing beats horse armor!

It's armor!

FOR YOUR HORSE.

I have never been so fascinated by a starch based timer.

Can't wait to see what this next phase does.

That's like seeing Jesus in a piece of french toast. Internet people are crazy.

We know the two exist in the same universe. We know that the Half-Life story seems to be headed in the direction of an Aperture Science cargo ship. Maybe they couldn't release Episode 3 (or even discuss it) till Portal 2 came out to set some stuff up?

Well, except this was actually put there intentionally. In an ARG, every little change (and this change did just happens) means something.

Man, it's going to be a long time before those potatoes run out though.

Hmm.

ACTIVE TEST SUBJECTS: NINE

Hm, indeed. You just know there are Valve employees laughing their smug asses off right about now.

Anyone notice that instead of the giant ZERO, now it says NINE? you can't miss it, right where it says Active Test Subjects. I have no idea what this means. Out of the 13 games, I only see 7 with a completed blue bar, so I don't think it refers to that. Anyone?

It's the same wall texture that was there at the beginning.

And like I said, at the current rate potatoes will stop counting down at exactly midnight Valve time, the same time it was going to release if you maxed all those bars out.

You guys are just setting yourselves up for dissapointment again.

Hmm.....

How is this person IN-GAME?? Has console ports released already or what?

I'm not sure Portal 2 will have anything to do with Episode 3. I'm going to spoiler this since it does include something about Portal 2 that people on complete blackout won't know.

Spoiler:

Portal 2 is supposed to take place hundreds of years after Portal. According to the Half-Life wiki, Portal happened during the 20 years Gordon was in stasis. So, unless I'm mistaken, Portal 2 is at least 80 years after Half-Life 2 and the episodes.

Skimmer. Lots of people received games from Amazon on Saturday and today.

Barbosa, when you put bread in your toaster (or pan or whatever), the image that comes up is a random artifact of heating patterns and the like.

Meanwhile, Valve paid someone to produce that image, and told them to make it look natural.

Not sure the two situations are exactly equal here.

Or he could have done what some of us do every time a Valve game is about to hit and delayed: rename a shortcut.

Perhaps people that got all of the potatoes got the game early?

I'm probably just easily excited, but the last link makes me super happy. I'm not sure why, even.

hahahaha, I haven't skimmed! It's just that my attention and retention of information has suffered greatly from the excitement!!! I need to play this now!!!

No, they are. Led Zeppelin intentionally wrote the lyrics and played the type of music they wanted, that doesn't change the fact that people who think there is a secret message to Satan when you play it backwards are experiencing pareidolia.

Go back and reread my post, edited in more information, but this thread moves too fast and you guys missed it.

Those guys are probably the nine test subjects, though some of them have private steam accounts so only 7 can be seen playing Portal 2 right now.

Thank you.

Doing business is usually a money grab, otherwise it's probably not a good business.

That wiki shows 11 players though, doesn't it? I'm as confused as a blind lesbian in a fish market...

I don't care how all this plays out; the ride has been more than I expected and I've enjoyed every moment.

One is a Wiki admin account and another seems to be a Valve-created character. Nine are regular people who were working on solving the ARG when co-opted by Valve.

I understand pareidolia but typically websites aren't naturally occuring or chaotic. Especially websites involved in a marketing campaign where you're supposed to notice every single detail, by a company that knows how subtlety works.

Y'know, you might be right, I don't feel strongly about it either way. All I'm saying is that we aren't looking at a piece of burned toast here, unless you think all toast is cooked on a Jesus-shaped pan.

It would be so awesome to find Christopher Walken trapped in Aperture Science Laboratories.
