Like the successful, bloodthirsty investment bankers ring side at the MGM Grand, sprayed with another man's blood tinged sweat as he rocks to a fiercely delivered upper-cut, my giddy, primal joy at the orgnaized violence of Fight Night 3 is insatiable. Just thinking about the gorgeous visuals that will be delivered to my dialated pupils as faces deform like someone dropping a rock in a bowl of jello literally makes me gleam with a fine coating of testosterone. If, however, bloodying the brow of sportsmen isn't your particular violence du jour, you might keep an eye open for Galactic Civilizations 2 for the PC. I'd normally be all over that, but this week I'm much more likely to just punch the box, and maybe the guy behind the counter while I'm at it.

Once again, it's not like you've got better things to be watching on the DVD front. Believe it or not, the only thing on the DVD list that remotely interests me is Go Diego Go (the spiritual successor to Dora the Explorer), and then only because I can put it on the portable DVD player for my small-one, who I've diligently taught to not hit, while I punch people on the Xbox. Go rescue pack! Those of you with small kids know what I'm talkin' bout, can I get a hell ya? No? Oh, and I guess people throw stuff at Nicholas Cage in The Weatherman. I'd watch a full length motion picture of people throwing increasingly heavy objects at Cage. Particularly if it was a documentary. More DVD stuff here.

If true... it's a really sad case.

Diego, or as my daughter says, "Go, Go Boots!" (she hasn't quite figured out yet that Dora and Diego are two different shows) is the straw that stirs the drink in our household. We pick up the kids from daycare, go home and little Ana grabs the remote and waves it at us, "Go, go, boots? ...Peeeeeeze?"

How can you say no to that? It sure beats the hell out of junk like Lazytown and Teletubbies. (And thank god for TiVo.)

After this past weekend I'm really looking forward to seeing the final version of Fight Night for the 360. I had my two brother-in-laws over and on Saturday night we went crazy with the demo version, knocking the ever-lov'n s#@ out of each other on a 90+" projector screen.

Hm... I've always been interested in trying out a boxing game. I'm not much of a sports game guy myself. Heck, who am I kidding? I don't own a single sports game.

Is the Fight Night Round 2 (I think it's called that) worth it on the XBox/PS2? Sometimes I feel like just beating the hell out of somebody's face so I'd rather do it in a virtual world so I don't get into so much trouble.

Go, die, go, go.

Also, I had a lot of fun with 4D Boxing back in the day. I could dig a boxing sim. Apparently its available for the Xbox, PS2, and PSP, in addition to the Xbox(2^3 * 3^2 * 5).

Is that even legal?

Ya, but is it nice? No.

Whoaah there!!
Is EA gonna meet a deadline with BF2: Euro Pack which is supposed to be delivered this week, or does Elysium have some updated insider news about a delay!??

Somehow I knew despite it being a slow week Galactic Civilizations II wouldn't be chosen as game of the week. I have my prepared look of disdain ready to go.

Elysium is indeed a sage! It looks like Euro forces is likely to get delayed.

I'll also post in the Games forum, but is anyone else planning on starting D&D online this weekend for the Headstart (if it isn't delayed as well?)?

Don't make me punch you!

It's true, and makes me mad enought that I'm holding off buying FN3 for my 360 until they knock that sh*t off.
