I've now played the demos for this on the PS3 and 360. The PS 3 'The Move' seem's pretty accurate (although there is only one hole to play). But for me, the PS 3 graphics look wonky. Like bright paint drawing. No feel for a real life course ambiance. Gads, I can't put it in word, but texture is just ugly. Up close is a bit better, but when teeing up, it's looks bad to me. So maybe something to do with them having to use The Move, or something wonky with blue-ray. I don't know. I only played the hole a 3 times or so (and really had tough time figuring out how to change clubs, or aim and to fade or draw. Let alone the use of 'focus'). My first time with TW on a PS3.
As for the 360, textures and such were as good as the last editions. Probably a bit better. Felt good and played fine. Probably because I've played TW forever on the 360 (and before that PC with various titles, first being 'Mean 18'), I'm more at ease with it. I ordered the PS 3 version because of, 'The Move', I hope I have not made a mistake, for as mentioned, it worked fine, but the textures for me where too garrulous.
That sucks. I had been planning to get this on PS3 since I'm used to playing Tiger Woods with a Dual Shock. I guess I'll have to fire up the demos to see if I have the same experience as you before I buy it.
The Move support intrigues me but I just don't see myself getting a Move any time soon.
I have the PS3 demo but no move, so I'm not exactly motivated to even play the demo. I really don't want a bill for $160 + courses, for just this game, when I can still grab the Wii version for $50 with all the courses.
Just got the PS3 demo since the Wii never does demos.
Well I'm sure it'll look better than the Wii version I'm used to
So is anyone else planning on picking this up for the 360?

The demo was a HUGE letdown for me. It seems that they basically got rid of True Aim in favor of having a caddy tell you exactly what club to use and what % strength to hit it. Playing the demo felt like they ruined what I thought was the best golf game ever.
I thought the full version would surely include the True Aim from last year, but apparently not. I will probably rent it, but it looks like I will just stick with TW 11. Pretty bummed, actually. I was looking forward to the Masters and some other improvements. But I deleted the demo after two holes, it was so bad.

Oh I should look at the demo myself before asking this question.
Didn't enjoy the PS3 demo that much either, but I hate playing golf with a controller now, TW with M+ on the Wii has spoiled me. The PS3 demo did look nice, but I'm not sure if Move + game is worth it when I can just get game on the Wii.
So I played the 360 demo last night. I hate that putting can't be the same from year to year. I need to research what Tour Pro mode entails. Disabling the caddie full time and that idiotic focus meter are a must if I am going to contemplate buying.
Wow. Amazon added a $20 credit for the Wii version, and $25 for the PS3/360 versions. PS3 collector's edition gets no discount, as usual.
So, $30 for the Wii version on release day. Maybe I will get this after all...
Live chat going on right now on ustream. Showing gameplay and talking with designers and supposedly giving away free copies until 4pm.
Just heard some cool new info in the chat/video. You can tweak the AI this year, I guess with sliders or something? If you are winning too easily or they are too hard, you can adjust their scoring to keep things competitive.
Much better than the rubber band AI the last couple years when if you shot really good 1 round they would crush you next round catching up.
Whoa the price on Amazon for the Wii version is $37? And $45 for the PS3/360 ones. Odd price drop for the day after release.
Not many reviews at metacritic yet, 2, 8 and 9 for each system so far. Hm...
Nevermind

Fyi: True Aim is still there as a option
It is, but it is significantly different than what was in TW 11.
I was reading about career mode using DLC courses. That didn't sit well with me. Getting all of the DLC courses on the 360 is an additional $50? No thanks.
All 24 courses on the Wii version.
So the real thing was run and won today and it was one of the best final rounds I can remember.
As many as a dozen players in contention, several running together a string of birdies. It was thrilling.
And Schwartzel drains 4 birdies to finish a deserving green jacket winner.
Yeah like 8 players had a share of the lead today. Tons of fun to watch, one of the best tournaments I've seen. Even Tiger woke up from his long drought to make a run at it. I was really hoping for a 6-man playoff at -10, but those Aussies got to -12, and Shwartzel was on fire.
Watching McIlroy collapse was painful though. We've all had holes like he did on 10 (+3) where nothing goes right. But in the Masters, while tied for the lead, watching it all disappear... that hurt to see. But it ain't called Amen Corner for nothing, right?
Wait, so it costs extra money to do a full career mode? That's f-ing insane? Couldn't they at least make that the "ten dollar project" feature for this game? That's literally crazy. So if I decide I want to play the full career mode I'd normally get I pay close to $110. I can go to my local muni 10 times for that kind of money and play actual golf. What a joke.

I totally get why you're upset, but it's not like you can't progress without the extra courses. You'll just have to play the courses on the disk more often.
By the way, I'm liking the game more and more. I almost quit last Saturday, as it seemed like no matter what I did my guy wasn't good enough to compete, but then I started getting better. I'm still really early (I just finished the first Nationwide Tour event), but I can see myself spending some more time with this one.
EA really can't win with this one. For the last few years people complained that you couldn't use your DLC courses in career mode. So now that EA has decided to make them available, people are mad that they have to pay for a full career mode.
It's not a big deal, as all you have to do is what golfers do in real life. Skip the tourney and play the next one.

Except in real life golfers don't skip playing a tourney because they don't have the DLC.
Hasn't been a problem with the Wii version. Still isn't. So much gnashing of teeth over shiny graphics.
