Why Was I Banned?

I remember I once got a pissy voice message from some idiot in Bad Company 2. When we were attacking, he'd been mining jeeps and tanks before withdrawing in Rush so they blew up as soon as you moved them. I turned the exact same trick back on him in the subsequent round and he got so angry about it he sent me a message that was 30 seconds of basically calling me a 'little Female Doggo' and a 'total crybaby whiner'. f*cking weird. He sounded like a grown man too.

It's because everybody plays it.

Thinking on it, I would ban my roommate for his GT if I could. Not because it's racist or otherwise offensive, just because it's so goddamn stupid.

XuhQtionerr.

Ex uh Q tioner. Get it? I hate him.

For what it's worth, I've never met him, and I hate him for his gamertag alone.

And lots of people don't play Call of Duty, by and large because my brief experience with it is that it's filled with people like are featured on the Banned site. It seems to have an unusual attraction towards douchebagginess.

You gotta do what you gotta do to get through university, man. Even if it requires an orgy. Especially if it requires an orgy.

FTFY.

Dumbasses play everything, I stand by my post.

Let me clarify:

1. Not everyone who plays Call of Duty games is a dumbass, but
2. Most dumbasses choose to play Call of Duty.

I'll admit a lot of CoD players are dickholes, but I'll never understand the reluctance to play, to miss the opportunity to shoot them in the head. Very few video game moments are more satisfying to me than killing the same guy six times in a row, listening to/reading his ranty message about my mother/penis/sexuality, and replying with a simple

Here's a sad one. The mom of an autistic kid went to the local tv station because her kid got banned "because he's too good a player." I'll reserve judging her parenting skills. Later Microsoft presents the evidence, and yeah...he inadvertently cheated.

Hey, look! There's cousin Sal! And aunt Hildy!

Typical. Most of the frothing-of-the-mouth messages I'd gotten prior to exclusively running with GWJ folks (and ditching CoD for the BF franchise) were from supposedly "grown men." Internet Dickwad Theory, et al.

I wouldn't say he inadvertently cheated. He gave is ID to another gamer to get him stuff.

To Microsoft's credit, they even offered the kid a free month and new ID, even after he was proven wrong.

Kids do the darnedest things!

Excellent point. My dislike of CoD is flavoured by the bitter understanding that I'm just not very good compared to most of these dickholes.

Haha... That site is great entertainment!

Well, he is right. There isn't anything effensive in his bio.

Generally you can always tell the racist by them proclaiming: "I'm not a racist, but..."

Happen on XBL the other night as I was playing homefront and the guy started talking about some hanged bodies in the map. Mute engaged.

Surprisingly the guy in your find didn't use that phrase.

I like to read this in a super-villain voice. "You insects will TREMBLE before my youtube posts! Muahahahahaha! Feel the lash of my wrath!"

It has to be mortifying to find out like that that your child was doing this.

That's a good point. They can't all be fake parents, however. I know that when I was a kid my brother got into trouble for some things he said in an AOL chat room that my parents were surprised to learn about.

Edit: Actually this one instance seems plausible, since the other gamertag posting the query has a whole lot of achievements. Usually they come back with a pathetic 35 point account. Man, that's a lot of achievements. Man, that's one sad father.

Agreed. The shock value got me, but I feel bad for that parent.

Awesome stuff, great read.

I can't say that I do...

I've always wondered if the new guys on the enforcement team get trial by Uno.

According to their panels as PAX, that was and still is the go to place for the rookies.

Uno? Like.. the card game?!

Well, this is certainly an interesting read.

GioClark wrote:

Yes, it has camera support.

I love the people who claim they didn't do anything wrong only to have it pointed out to them that they "earned" 95325 achievements on some single day. I'm somewhat surprised that nobody attempts to continue on with the 'I'm innocent' act. Are these kinds of threads usually locked after the XBL people make their post?

The worst online gaming experience I have ever had was in a public match on Snoopy Flying Ace where some guy was screaming obscenities the entire time. Fortunately, there were no pictures of somebody's junk involved in that one.

Oh SNAP! That's how they found out!

Just kidding, just kidding. Seriously, that has to be mortifying for a parent, and I could totaly see it happening. Child tells parent they were banned and need a new account. Parent asks what they did. Child says nothing. Parent believes child.

Lol, in Snoopy Flying Ace of all games.

I think I'm going to quit school and apply for this job. I will feast on their tears nom, nom, nom..so delicious.

Are you sure it wasn't Snoopy himself?
