Pile of Shame March Madness

Dead Space 1. Bought it about five months ago, and got interupted by BlOps, RDR: Undead Nightmare, and Mass Effect 2. Once ME2 is down, back to the Ishimura I go.

RDR: Undead Nightmare. Basically, as above. Once ME2 and Dead Space 1 are down, then it's back to wherever the Hell RDR is set I go.

And did I mentioned Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker...?

Thus far, I'm still doing missions to attack the Fort..no idea how far I am. I'm definitely liking it more than the GTAs...just find the world more interesting. That said, I wish the traveling from site to site was a little less cumbersome. I know I can fast travel to sites I've been before, but some of the travel times are quite long. It is neat though how seemingly random events take place on the roadsides and you can choose whether or not to intervene in them. The refined shooting mechanic also is pretty nice. Hopefully it retains my interest to completion...the GTAs were never able to. I've heard the main story is quite a bit streamlined compared to the GTAs though, so I'm hopeful the increased focus compels me through the game.

I'm going to push DeathSpank: ToV from last month. But I don't know that it would be wise to commit to anything beyond that.

Alpha Protocol is finished. I liked what they were trying to do with the game. The story was decent and the twists, turns and relationships were a cool touch. The gameplay mechanics were a bit wonky. I never felt like I could shoot worth a damn even when I was maxed. A little too much RPG for my shooter tastes.

Sign me up for Fallout 3 via PS3 (story, not expansions (which I don't own)) as well as [Prototype] for the same console.
Despite leaving for a week on vacation, I have a good feeling about this month's plan of completion.

I throw almost all multi-platform titles (occasionally I miss one) under Multi even if only one person is playing them. That way I avoid multiple listings for a title under PC, 360 and PS3.

Looking to make up for last month's failure by going back to the RPG well. Given the amount of time I have to game, probably won't finish Morrowind this month, but if I don't start it, I never will. Let's give Morrowind a shot!

Come on... 0:04.19 and you could be done with that title (I jest, over 80 hours on the original XBox and I'm still no closer to seeing the credits roll). That was back in the day of pre-cheevs when you played just for the hell of it, and that was one title I happily got lost in.

Oof, I've been so bad about this stuff lately. Sign me up for finishing Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare. More titles to follow.

I have such fond memories of Morrowind, and I never even really went after the main quest beyond the halfway points (or thereabouts). Just a blast to get lost in that world.

And the credits rolled for X-Men Origins Wolverine. I might actually go back to finish off most / all of the trophies, but for now, it's done.

ME2 goes down this month. Too much life happened to me in Feb to wrap it up.

Finished Dark Fall : Lost Souls - thoughts in adventure game catchall thread.

Make sure that you patch it up prior to playing, and be aware of this nasty gear-destroying bug that was never fixed: http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Silv...

Batman AA is done. Great game.

I did throw the controller once during the Poison Ivy boss battle. I really don't like those pattern learning bosses where you just have to settle in and do it over and over (and over and over) until you get it right. There were a few other frustrating moments but over all a brilliant game.

Beat Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. A good game with lots of rough edges. More of my impressions here. May still Platinum for 110% completion, don't know.

Now to start The Witcher.

Looks like I need to add Uncharted 2 to my list. I picked up a copy while running errands today. When I got home the conversation went like this:

Wife: "When are you going to play Uncharted?"
Me: "Well I...."
Wife: "Now! You're going to play it now!!"

Back with more time after a few months of leaving the Pile to its own devices. I now declare some of my unfinished beasties.

Mass Effect 2 (which I started, left for a bit, took up again and have since let linger)
Mother 3 (same as above)
TOMI: Lair of the Leviathan (which I started, got to the point where I leave the manatee, and simply got sidetracked)

As far as comebacks go, I think this is good for now...

Going to add another adventure game to the list : Black Mirror. Assuming I can survive the 'acting'

Dante's Inferno is done. I give it a solid B+.

I guess I'm trying Bioshock 2 again? Since I never even started it last month and did the Killzone 2/3 thing instead. I know if I just sit down and start I could blaze through it.

As a huge basketball fan though, I won't be doing much gaming. Conference tournaments all this week, then the madness next week. And in the days between I have all those brackets to fill out.

That's Lost Horizon finished now as well. I'm on an adventure game related roll

Alright, I'm going to be finishing off the 2nd part of Custom Robo (Gamecube) this month. Having just been sent Gotcha Force I felt more inclined to finish up every last bit of Custom Robo before moving on to the one I just got.

I absolutely loved that game. How did you enjoy it?

A VAST improvement over their "Secret Files" games. Brilliant art style and pretty good voice acting for the lead character (side characters, considerably less so, unfortunately). Quite a witty script as well. Puzzle wise it was possibly a little too easy, but after struggling through Dark Fall : Lost Souls that made a refreshing change of pace

Probably the nearest we're going to get to another Indiana Jones adventure game anyway.

The ending is a little weak but it has some clever puzzles prior to that point that remind me a little of the kind of time-bending stuff you do in Day of the Tentacle, which was quite neat.

Bit of a shame they are going back to "Secret Files" for their next game, but oh well - maybe the lessons learned here will make it worth playing.

Hermph. Not sure that I can do Red Dead Re.: Undead Nightmare. I've gotten pretty far in the story (and I've enjoyed it), but now the next mission won't spawn for me. It's one of those 'wait a few days' situations, but it's been more than a few days, with my doing other stuff and then just saving over and over to advance the clock. I fear that the game might be glitched, and it's not nearly good enough to replay everything for the last few missions.

Fixed and finished it. Scratch Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare off my list, and add ... Darksiders please.

Finished Dragon Age: Origins today, just shy of a week late but still well in time for DA2.

Finally put a cork in TOMI EP 3: Lair of the Leviathan. Scratch that baby of the pile! Add Ep 4 if you will, please!

EDIT: I *heart* Murray.
