Quick weapon switch is your friend!

This assumes I can actually switch weapons (the "poor ability to switch weapons" part of my post ).

This is also why I suck as a spy.

You'd probably be a decent DR spy with the YER. You don't mess with disguises and you really don't "need" to shoot anyone. Just get behind them and push M1.

It's probably my love for scout, but I really like ctf_doublecross, yet all the goodjers hate on it.

Untrue. There's a cadre of poofer pyros who love ctf_doublecross. Knocking the intel carrier into the abyss is far more fun than it should be.

I like the airbase one better. I can't remember the name.

Maybe I will try that. I like that whole "get behind them and push M1" sort of thing.

I <3 Turbine.

That is all.

Yeah doublecross is the one ctf most of us will play. Also landfall.

You can also just script your disguises to a button as an instant disguise with some weighted RNG it should be possible to essentially instantly disguise to a probably disguise with variation. I don't know how you would pin that to odd uses of M2 but then it would add instant disguise to your enter cloak as well.
Ramble ramble, should be studying for my Algebra test in 2 hours but I'm on this forum instead ramble ramble.
This would of course be with the normal watch or the C&D, the DR has a little more variation than they are letting on. Like making it a believable death as well as using the damage reduction effectively with the quick cloak drain.
I've never been one for much variation from the classic spy set up anyways. Oh and in your cloak routes use a counter clockwise rotation once behind the front line. This gives you the hit box advantage should anyone turn, therefore the face stab advantage.

Aerospace?

The concept of Hydro is still interesting, but the pacing is broken--I would much rather it was one big Desert Fortress type capture map rather than a set of short individual battles. And of course, things would be better if the server had a proper (i.e. working) scramble mod installed.

Yeah, I've seen servers with runoff map voting. There's also a mod that changes things so '1' and '2' aren't valid voting choices, to reduce mis-votes when people are in the middle of switching weapons.

Then I'll start nominating it more often. I don't think we play enough CTF on Stan's.

I think goodjers need to be more accepting of maps they don't like in general.

Poor Homer, that's what you get for killing a pyro. A burning stab to the back.

Pay no attention to the spy. He's just out for a stroll.

I think goodjers need to be more accepting of me shooting them in the face.

Especially when it's a scout carrying the intel.

Then again, there are non-server-killer maps like 2fort that pubbies will play but many Goodjers absolutely refuse to play. They argue that it's a grind and that it's impossible to score. Bullsh*t. It can get turtle-y at times, yes, but the past few games we've played on it have resulted in wins, often times close wins of 3-2. Yet even when it gets a good majority of the vote some of the admins will change the map to something else before giving it a chance. The truly dumb thing is when some goodjers complain incessantly about the map even while there's a great, high-scoring game going on right then.

I think that's mostly because our collective approach to 2Fort has changed from "try to win" to "try to switch maps" or at least "don't play 3 engineers". Anymore, we don't usually build the big engineer nests in the basement that characterizes both a consistently successful defense and a turtle fest. The last couple times I played CTF, the intel was sometimes unguarded by a sentry, even.

This video is chilling and makes me want to be a better sniper:

Push it. Push it real good.

Oh, what's this note I just got say? Pants is out of the tournament? How surprising!

Also, I want to apologize for my Female Doggoiness at the beginning of Goldrush. It wasn't you, it was me. I am sorry.

Damn! My team can use my non-union Mexican equivalent, Senor el no pantalones, as a replacement.

Spoiler:

I know absolutely no Spanish.

Working on the pile. Finally giving this one a shot. (Yes, I know...) Invite to the group, please. Thanks.

Yay I'm not the ultimate noobie anymore!

TF2 is like the anti-pile game. "I'll sit down and finally play...nah, gonna go play some more TF2"

Can you link to your Steam profile? I searched for Grumpicus, but nothing came up.
