Transformers: War For Cybertron Catch-All

It's based more on G1 Transformers and doesn't have any humans (yay!).

Bought this over the weekend. The promise of old school Transformers without humans was too much to resist. My copy should arrive in the next few days.

I don't remember if I mentioned it or not, but I discovered that if you're an experienced shooter player then Hard Mode is perfectly fine to solo. I've got the last three Autobot chapters left and then I'm done.

Also, sniping is surprisingly effective as long as you get the tiny tiny robot head lined up in your sites.

Haven't been able to play much lately, unfortunately, but as always I'm always up for trying Escalation mode.

Definitely a sleeper hit for me.

Curious, how can any AAA game based off a Hollywood movie be called a "sleeper" hit? Every parent who walks into Walmart has probably bought this game for their kids, not to mention... half of GWJ....

PS. I want

It's not based off the movies at all. I wouldn't really call it a AAA game either. It's well-produced, but still a little rough around the edges in places.

Definitely not AAA. I see it in the same vein as 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand. Strangely good in spite of the rough edges and extremely entertaining. Good B-movie quality game with a decent multi-player.

I have to admit, it's extremely fun for no reason to zip around as a car, jump, transform and just start blasting away. And just hearing the transforming noises so much fun.

It's not based on a movie... why was I thinking it was? Not sure....

Because before that, the last 3-4 were. And from what I heard, they were awful.

Received the game today. I'm on Chapter 3 right now and loving it. The combat is really fun. I may have done myself a disservice by choosing the Medium difficulty though. So far, I'm having a blast.

And oh my god... Soundwave's voice.

Let me know how those last few boss battles go for you on Hard. They were a b!tch even on co-op for me. Not that I didn't have fun, but they were much tougher than the Decepticon bosses.

Roommate 1 just brought the game home. Roommate 2 played it for 5 minutes. Stopped. Complained that he wished the game wasn't designed for kids (13 and under) and turned it off. Said that he was expecting to dislike it because he saw that it was a Hasbro game and those are for kids.

My head hurt.

I got this from the rental service and am having decent fun with the campaign. I like that it's constant action with no downtime for cutscenes or puzzles. If anyone wants to try campaign co-op or Escalation, find me on Xbox Live.

I'm a fan.

Here here.

Or is it hear hear?

I've yet to play the Escalation with other people. I haven't added one from GWJ yet, maybe I should grab some of the gamertags here and try it.

My gamertag is Grohdinger. If you'd be interested in playing some Escalation or co-op, send me a message with the time you'd like to play.

My friend list is full, but I'm interested whenever you see me on.

Am I the only one who's just hearing that they're doing another animated Transformers series based off of this game, starring Peter Cullen and Frank Welker?

Just got a copy from work (one of 30 that we're using for on-campus competitions). Installing it and ready to enjoy!

Soundwave was the best voiced character in anything Transformers. His counterpart on the Autobots, however, was stereotypical and awful.

Hey! Do they have those silly Quintisons in the game somewhere?

God I wish. The Quintisons were so awesome.

Completed Decepticon campaign and 2 levels into Autobot campaign.

The amount of energy/excitement/pacing between the two is night and day for me. And I'm pretty sure it's not just because of the excellence of Optimus' voice...

Changed my opinion of the game from "decent" to "super fun!"

Just finished! Fun times.

Spoiler:

Trypticon was a PAIN to kill. But it was very relieving to overcome the frustration and watch Optimus kick him down to the depths. :D

And Epic Credits are Epic.

Hi guys - anybody still have this? I am thinking about starting it up and didn't know if people wanted to do some multiplayer.

I still got it, and am up for their Survival game mode. Never got to really try it.

I picked it up on the Christmas Steam sale and have it wallowing on the pile of Shame.

There's a used copy for sale at the local Blcokbuster....Push me and I'll buy it.

Have it and haven't touched it yet. Then again, I have it on the PS3 so I'm probably alone on that platform around here.

I played a bit of the multi-player - actually pretty fun and fast-paced.

Anyone interested in doing some escalation this weekend?

Depends on the time. I'm evidently swing dancing this weekend.
