You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.
I always question the use of Bane in Batman reboots. Although having Batman get back-broken would be a functional way of effectively ending the trilogy, which if I recall is Nolan's plan.
Any theories on how Nolan will portray Bane's Venom in the "realistic Gotham?"
Good choice for Catwoman.
Good choice for Catwoman. :hump:
Much better.

A lot of the technology in the films is already pretty ridiculous, so some sort of super-steroid doesn't seem too far-fetched. Or, they could just ditch the Venom entirely.
Also: Anne Hathaway in a catsuit. Thank you, Christopher Nolan.

His gift to us, the loyal fans. As long as she doesn't do something stupid like lick saucer from a bowl like Michelle Pfeiffer did we'll be fine. Oh, wait...
She's not my first choice, but there is no doubt in my mind that Nolan will execute his vision.
I think Bane's venom will be as realistic as Scarecrow's fear drug.
Tom Hardy is great. I loved Inception, but I felt in some ways like he was the most entertaining character. I still think they could make a James Bond movie with him playing Bond and I'd be a happy camper.
It'll be interesting to see if Hardy goes all crazy bodybuilder for this role or if they just stick him in a muscle suit or something.

From an interview:
And you're putting it back on again for another role, aren't you?
Tom Hardy: I'm actually Bronson size now. And I've got to go up another two-and-a-half stone.
Anne Hathaway will be wearing a Catwoman suit in my town, you say?

Gamer without a job as he skips out every day to catch filming.
I'll be right there with him-- I'll tell my art lead it's for research
I'm into it. Having just seen Inception I'm high on Hardy, and though Bane is a bit after my time with comics, reading about the character on Wikipedia paints a picture of a dark mirror for Batman, particularly the Nolan version (high intellect, spent time training in a prison setting). When all is said and done we should have three distinct villains in the trilogy, something that bugged me in Spidey 1 and 2, where they doubled up on the well-meaning scientist turned mad by his own experiments.
Plus, mirror-villain is a classic "part three" trope, right? Superman getting drunk and flicking peanuts? Fighting himself in a junkyard? Anyone?
(crickets)
That's great, we could organize a S&T over there then, who knows if Anne gets my love letter before shooting start and sends out for me.
I don't really see Bane as a dark mirror of Bruce Wayne or Batman. Black Mask or Hush are a bit closer to the mark.
One of the reasons why Tom Hardy was so good in Inception is that he wasn't massively over the top, as he has been in several of his other roles (The Take, Bronson, Wuthering Heights). I wasn't impressed at all with the first or the last, and the middle was only ok because of the nature of the character that he was playing and the style of the film. Hopefully, Nolan will bring the best out in him again.
I can't see any of the women on that list as Talia, to be honest. Then again, I couldn't see Heath Ledger as Joker either, so it shows what I know! Is Poison Ivy not under consideration?
Frustration: I have an indirect link to Tom Hardy, and yet I still don't know who he is going to play!
Did anyone see the Golden Globes? I assume this isn't Bruce Waynes "on the lam" look, is it?
I am told that Tom Hardy is physically massive at the moment.
I also happen to know that Chris Nolan is screen testing brunette actresses, including (ugh) Keira Knightly for a female crime boss. Talia is the obvious choice, to tie things into Batman Begins. Besides, I can't think of any other female bosses other than White Rabbit, which hardly fits the brunette thing.
Having 2 of Batman/Bruce's more significant love interests in the film would make for an interesting side plot, as well.
I doubt it, either Batman spontaneously grows a beard and mustache at the same time that Bruce Wayne does, or Batman vanishes, and Bruce Wayne starts shaving again a couple days before he returns.
Unless he shaves, but continues to wear a fake beard as Bruce Wayne for awhile afterward. That would still be weird.
Love the decisions made. Would've preferred Kate Beckinsale for Catwoman, but Anne Hathaway will definitely rock this.

I felt the exact way. He has a real vitality about him, threatening but not menacing. +1

Because everyone with eyes should witness this at least once in their lifetime:

The only celebrity I've ever seen in real life was Kate Beckinsale in her leather outfit thing while they were filming Underworld. I have no need to see another celebrity again in my life.
Let's not be hasty; we have yet to see Anne Hathaway in black leather. Chicago Goodjers, ready your cell phone cameras!
You just made me do a Google image search for 'Anne Hathaway leather'. For some reason, this came up:

Yeah, would have loved Kate Beckinsale. Even the idea of Rachel Weisz was interesting, but I'm sure Anne Hathaway can pull it off. (OOCT here we go)
Ugh..that video was not a positive sell; hollow cheekbones and visible ribcage do not turn me on.
