WOW GWJA: GWJ Raiding time 1/4/11-110/11 Posted for Tuesday and Thursday

Twilight Ascendant Council sounds like it may be bugged. Anyone read anything in the patch notes about a possible fix?

Those patch notes also went to the PTR. They won't be implemented by Sunday, I don't think.

Continuation raid on Sunday 7-10pm Server

Tanks: Bhumpy, Lawkjaw
Heals: Zeered, Rantin, Eppyrose
Dps: Zerokfe, Abanna, Anriis, Alydra, Ranakin.

Same roster so we go in with some experience/practice under our belts. If anyone who's now scheduled for a 3rd raid night this week is going to get murdered, let me know.

Anriis, if you need until 7:30, I'm sure we'll have trash to kill again.

I'm good with Sunday.

Good news, everyone!

My DSL disconnect issue is back. I've got a technician scheduled to come out sometime today (love those 8 AM to 8 PM service windows!), but who knows if that will really help -- 4 out of 5 previous visits certainly didn't. Anyway, I'll let you know what happens, but it's possible you might need to find an alt for me for tomorrow night.

I'm now available for sunday if Zero needs a back up.

Okay, knock on wood, looks like he sorted things out.

I think I did this correct.

Looks right except I don't see any kills

Hey now, we killed some trash . We actually got two epics from trash last night. A healy staff and a feral trinket, IIRC.

There's a lot of damage going out in that fight. Just not much of it on the tank.

Would it help at all to stack a more mDPS focused group? Thinking that the less ranged folks we had the less chance for a dance error possibly?

But we might run the risk then of what ranged we have left taking too much damage during the purple arrow phase since there will be less people to distribute it amongst.

It's worth a shot, though. We have nothing to lose but a ton of gold =)

Would it also be possible for everyone to stack in melee if we didn't have ranged classes with a minimum range? Not that our hunters aren't a huge part of our DPS but if we had all caster DPS, could we avoid those meteors altogether?

I got really nervous that my work blocked my log analyzing, luckily the second time I clicked it...it went through. I almost teared up!

No, if there is no one at 15 yards you get meteors inside melee range.

Apparently Grounding Totem will soak up Blackout - provided of course that the person targeted is in the shaman's group and in range of the totem.

So we need to make like it's the Burning Crusade and stack a shaman in each group, eh?

What!

That's distressing to hear after the fact =)

Well, sign Cheeto and me (or Bel) up for the next attempt. We got this.

I noticed a lot of dying in phase 2 of the fight where blackout isn't an issue.

There were a couple of times i seemed to just die... not sure from what. I wasnt standing in anything i shouldnt and thought i was being healed through the meteors. Of course the Engulfing Magic seems to catch people off guard sometimes.

I did like the idea of when the range got it to move forward and to the left. Keeps us in range and doing more dmg.

I'm having some trouble seeing what we are doing wrong from the log. Is this really just 100 minor errors adding up?

More like 85 minor errors, 12 medium, and 3 large, but yeah, for the most part it is a death of a thousand paper cuts.

As I said earlier this week, at our gear levels every one of these fights requires perfect execution on all of our parts, and while we had a few promising attempts last night we didn't quite get there.
