Did your pile become less of a mountain? - 2011 in review

Pages

Following on from discussion in Hemidal's monthly pile thread, some of us repeat offenders decided 2011 would be The Year of the Pile.

Starting Jan 01, and with the help of this thread, we will be committing to a reduction in what has now become our mountains of shame. This thread is designed to support those who need it, and complement Hemidal's awesome efforts in the regular, monthly, pile of shame threads. Given that this is something new, I think we can be pretty fluid with how this runs for (hopefully) the full 12 months and if it proves successful, repeat it for as long as we need it.

Based on the comprehensive nature of TrueHeart's first post (it was only fitting), a Google Doc has been set up to track our commitment to the 12 months ahead.
Anyone using this link can edit the spreadsheet. Feel free to add any additional columns, etc, it is a tool for us all.

I'd also like to see if we can use existing systems to help us all out. I noticed a few of us have backloggery links in signatures, but they seem to have been 'updating' for a while now, so it may stop new registers such as myself for a while.

REMEMBER: This doesn't replace Hemidal's monthly thread, it just complements it for those of us that want that long term plan in place, some realistic dissenablement and to stop the impulse purchases (links will be added for each monthly pile thread here).
January: There's Plenty of Pile for Everyone
February: Forget Flowers, Give the Gift of Pile
March: Pile of Shame March Madness
April: The Pile's Empty... April's Fools!
May: Grab What You Can from the Pile and Don't Strain Yourself
June: Time Flies When You're Playing in the Pile
July: Freedom From the Pile
August: Beat the Heat, Clear the Pile
September: The Clock is Ticking, is the Pile Shrinking?

TrueHeart's Quartet of Contemplation (answer these in the same post please)

Hemidal's Law: Anything that can be added to the pile will be added to the pile.

I love the pile of shame threads, but I'm contemplating starting a support group of sorts that goes hand-in-hand with it.

It would comprise of 4 parts:
1. Listing the games in our collections that we want to finish.
2. Looking forward to the game releases for the year/months ahead and taking note of the games that we're going to buy and at what price.
3. Looking behind to the previously released games and take notes of the games we're going to buy and at what price.
4. Committing to certain games via and making sure we take part in the Pile of Shame threads.

Clockwork's Addendum (alternatively known as the remedy for recurring transgressions). Amend where needed for your own demons

ClockworkHouse wrote:

I will not buy any games except what's on The List until the unfinished portion of my collection is at or below 25%.

Addendum A: I will not sell any game from my pile until I've completed it or have determined that I couldn't possibly drag myself through the rest.

Addendum B: I will sure as sin not buy any more JRPGs until I've finished the seven that I already own or am borrowing.

Addendum C: Any new Metroid games announced will automatically be added to The List. Likewise, a North American release of Xenoblade Chronicles will be added.

Addendum D: Exceptions may be granted for Windows Phone 7 and/or 3DS games provided that I've beaten and/or completed the games I already own. I don't really have piles for those platforms and don't want to punish them for my Xbox Live Arcade-related indiscretions.

Addendum E: I should really stop reading the deals thread.

Addendum F: As I won't be buying games that aren't on The List, I won't shop for games online or in stores. Not even "just to browse" as that way lies madness.

If we follow these four guiding principles, we should be able to get through the year with minimal pile bloating, and have some extra 'green' in our back pocket for the end of year Steam sale for 2011 (just kidding)!

I'll borrow Trueheart's headers (and some of his games)

Games in my collection I want to finish/watch the credits roll.

Bioshock 2
Dragon Age Awakening
Amnesia
Broken Sword
Runaway: A Road Adventure
Lost Horizon
Fallout New Vegas (IF i can ever get it stable)
Metro 2033
Machinarium
PB Winterbottom
Resident Evil 5
Shank
Super Meat Boy
Gears of War 2
Dirt 2 career mode

2011 Releases I will be purchasing - list of notables
* Dragon Age 2 (PC) - day one (pre-ordered)

* Portal 2 (360) - day one

* Batman: Arkham City (360) - day one, will pre-order

* Diablo 3 - (PC) ("holiday 2011", according to the leaked Blizzard document. I have my doubts) day one, if it in fact ships this year. This is my most anticipated game, possibly of all time. (though Batman Arkham City is now a close 2nd)

* Mass Effect 3: not day one, most likely. This could end up being an early 2012 purchase.

* Dead Space 2: at some point later in the year. Maybe Black Friday week, as a $29 purchase.

* Rage (depending on reviews, feedback)

* Duke Nukem Forever: probably day one, and definitely for PC. Gearbox swears up & down this will ship in 2011, which hey, that sounds familiar.

* Max Payne 3: if it ships in 2011, day one possibly

* Tomb Raider: The Reboot (depending on reviews/feedback)

* L.A. Noire: will have a close eye on this one.

2010 and Prior Releases I will be purchasing and at what price - list of releases

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West (360) - $15
Vanquish (360) - $15, maybe $20
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (360) - $15 or less
Psychonauts: $5 (keep seeing this one on 'best of decade' lists)
NFS Shift: $10
Bejeweled 3: $10 or less
Others, I'm sure.

Side Goals

Learn 4x space gaming, finally, at least A.I. War

Maybe start restricting my concurrent games played to 3 at a time. By this I mean games with story progression that are finishable, not arcade games, racing games, etc.

To track all my purchases for the year in a spreadsheet, with dollar amounts, and a running total.

Hm...this seems like a lot more work than the little text document I keep on my desktop...

Just updated the three primary contributors so far, this might actually be a bit of fun tracking through the year. Will add my own in the next day or so, and I think it's a great idea to 'appropriate' TrueHeart's efforts.

I don't think this is going to be a heavily trafficed thread, that will be Hemidal's domain still, but I think this will be an invaluable tool in the war against pile bloatage for us all.

I would really like to get through Fallout 3, with all the DLC. That is my first game of the year, and I am going to be putting a lot of time in with it. I probably won't touch another game until i get through the story / 80% of the achievements in the main game.

I would like to finish up Alan Wake. I have beaten the game and have about 46/50 on the original game. I would like to make that 50/50, and to finish up the DLC. I loved the game and want to do this.

Fable 3 - Need to do this game.

Transformers: WFC. I would like to get about 80% of the achievements in this game. Not too terribly interested in the DLC, but am down for getting my autob0t on.

GTA DLC - I want to get through this. I have it all, just beat the core game, and enjoyed the hell out of it. I want to get this done.

The Darkness. I have had this for nearly a year, and not put it in once. Need to find some people to do some of the multiplayer achievements with.

Games I will buy -

Dead Space 2. Pre-ordered. I love this universe, and am anxiously anticipating this title.

Mass Effect 3. Do want.

Batman: AC - this game deserves my money. I loved the first (not as much as Bonus, but a lot).

Games I want/that will destract me from the pile -

Rage - anxiously hopeful.

Homefront. I like the cut of this game's jib, at least so far.

Deus Ex. Never played the first game, but am interested in the universe. We will see.

Also, by March I would like to have an 80% achievement completion percentage.

I'm going to jump into here. I want to take a thorough look at my freaking enormous backlog and work out some sort of plan. I may even have tiers. Hopefully, I can have some sort of list in the format above in the next few days or so.

No rush, I just went to my game cupboard, and the three other places I stash games, and also the ones I'm waiting to come in from the Christmas Sales I ordered to come up with a complete list... Only then can make up a true plan of attack for the year.

I've ditched the majority of my game cases (I hang on to the ones I may want to trade back in). Everything is in CD/DVD binders. It's easy to browse, but it gets overwhelming at times.

I've already recalled a few games that I missed on my list. That does not bode well.

But, I think I may fire up PB Winterbottom. Maybe I can get off to a quick start and knock a game off the pile in the early hours of the new year.

Whew! First game down. Full clear on PB Winterbottom. Some of those last challenges were a right pain.

I actually cleared my pile towards the middle of last year (well as near as is humanly possible.) Unfortunately, I've spent the second half of the year purchasing games at a rate I could never keep up with so I now have a whole new pile.

Games in my collection I want to finish/watch the credits roll.

I'll definitely get these finished:

Batman AA
Assassin's Creed II
Bioshock 2
Red Faction: guerrilla
Dead Space

I'm not so sure:

Just Cause 2
Final Fantasy XIII
GTA San Andreas
Monkey Island Episodes
Burnout Takedown
World of Goo
Read Dead: Undead Nightmare dlc

May never happen:

Viva Pinata
Elder Scrolls Oblivion
Osmos

2011 Releases I will be purchasing

Mass Effect 3
Dragon Age 2
Dead Space 2
Deus Ex: HR
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
Portal 2
De Blob 2
Theif 4
SSX Deadly descent
Far Cry 3
Tomb Raider Chronicles
Red Dead 3

(I'm anticipating some releases that haven't been announced for 2011)

2010 and Prior Releases I will be purchasing and at what price

(I tend to allow myself £4-£5 on my target price)

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood £10
Enslaved £6

Side goals

Splinter Cell: Conviction Co-op
Splinter Cell: Conviction 'complete a level without using gun/without being detected' challenges
A third play through of Far Cry 2. Possibly with the dlc.
A second play through of Lost Odyssey
Finish playing my 'Ashima' character in Fallout 3 (although I played that game to death)
Play the Mass Effect 2 dlc on my second and third shepards
Acquire a copy of Tales of Vesperia at a reasonable price

- Nier (In Progress)
- Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (In Progress)
- Donkey Kong Country Returns (In Progress)
- Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume (In Progress)
- A Boy and His Blob
- Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom (In transit)

- Dragon Age: Origins: Awakening (In progress-ish)
- Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment (In progress-ish)
- New Super Mario Bros. Wii (In progress-ish)
- Fallout: New Vegas
- Dragon Quest IX

I decided to leave out desired replays, like Metroid Prime, and PC games like Half-Life, STALKER and (because I haz emulate) Mother 3. Gaming on the PC just seems so unnatural to me. Maybe when I get a real computer one day.

This list will be updated later today, too.

EDIT: GameFly f*cked up my Boy and His Blob order, so that's off the list.

DOUBLE EDIT: As soon as I contacted GameFly about not getting A Boy and His Blob after two weeks it arrives in my mailbox. Now I'm feeling conflicted about telling them I got it after all and that they CAN keep the $9 I paid. Considering the service they offered, I feel like they got enough cash out of me.

I'm on board with this. Looking at my Steam games list, I have 79 games that I have not seen the credits on. That's just the PC titles.

That. Is. Unacceptable.

Full list, and pledge, to follow.

This is for 2011 and is in no way indicative of my entire pile of shame...

Want To See Credits Roll On
Half-Life 2
Half-Life 2 episode 1
Half-Life 2 episode 2

Future Games I Want to Purchase, but may finagle as gifts
Gears of War 3
Batman: Arkham City

Mass Effect 3

2010 and Prior Releases I will be purchasing and at what price
Hopefully none, but I reserve the right to cave to a $5 or less Steam sale, or some sort of less than $10 for a console game Newegg sale. Which will then be added in front of all of you.

The pledge, slightly modified:

I, Hemidal, solemnly pledge to continue with the Pile of Shame monthly threads. Even if it is just for one game, I will put forth effort to clear my ever-growing pile, one game at a time.

I also pledge to do everything within my ability to restrict my game purchases in 2011. If I should falter, I will shamefully add them to the pile in full sight of this support group.

I'm going to call Jan 3rd as my "beginning" of 2011, just because that's the last day of the Steam holiday sale. After that, I should not be purchasing any games all year. The new ones listed will hopefully show up for Father's day, birthday, Christmas, etc...

Google Doc updated as of this post.

I'm with Hemidal too, this year is starting on the 3rd for me. My first year exposed ot the madness that is Steam, I have gone from having no interest to playing on my Mac and having the one demo of Bejeweled to a whopping 44 game Mac Pile thanks to these two seasonal assaults on my wallet I wasn't prepared for.

Now to sort through my own pile and commit!

EDIT
Holy crap. I should have doen this sooner... I have only focussed on my 360 retail (not even XBL Arcade) and I have some SHAMEFUL figures.

77 Games with zero or minimal % started
17 completed in the last year, but needing 'mop-up'
9 complete enough to trade in.

Total size of current 360 pile 94 *gulp*. This may be a 36 month timeframe for me...

If it's any comfort, I already have 10+ games that I realized that I had left off my list. And that's not even counting games that I have pretty much chalked up to being a lost cause.

Dragon Age 2 (360) - Release Day Purchase (already pre-ordered for Signature Edition)
Dead Space 2 (360) - Release Day Purchase
Gears of War 3 (360) - Release Day Purchase
Elder Scrolls: Skyrim (360) - Release Day Purchase
Batman: Arkham City (360) - Release Day Purchase depending on reviews
Bioshock Infinite (360) - Release Day Purchase depending on reviews and if it makes it into 2011
Will also keep an eye on the DOTW on Xbox Live and get any DLC I need for existing games, and any arcade games I have 'heard of'. No buying, just because it's a great deal.

2010 and Prior Releases I will be purchasing and at what price - list of releases
These are the games I will restrict myself to when the buying urge comes upon me, and for lower prices than I normally would purchase (unless digital).
To quote Jeff-66's avatar... Mark it zero.
If I feel the need to add to this pile, I will just remind myself of that triple figure number.

Side Goals
Mass Effect (360) - Get my paragon Shepard to level 60
Clean up as many of the outstanding titles as I can (when I need a break from my primary pile)

I, m0nk3yboy, solemnly pledge to take part in the Pile of Shame monthly threads. Even if it is just for one game, I will put forth effort to clear my ever-growing pile, one game at a time.

This group is already helping. I thought I was the only one that never finished HL 2 and Episodes 1 & 2!

That's what prompted me to throw the Orange Box up there seeing Hemidal add those titles... We truely are amongst friends (with big piles, and not the inflatable cushion kind either).

I've never finished the original Half-Life either, but I've tried that about 5 times now. If I can crack HL2, I may go back later in the year and try again.

My pile is ridiculous. My game list has over 250 games on it (over several platforms) and less than half of them are completed. So...

Games in my collection I want to finish/watch the credits roll.

  • Alan Wake (360) - Played the tutorial and that was it.
  • Assassin's Creed (PC and 360) - Yeah, the original. Never finished it despite having it on two platforms.
  • Call of Cthulhu - Dark Corners of the Earth (PC) - Had this one forever. Really want to finish it someday.
  • Darksiders (PC) - Just picked this one up in the Steam sale
  • Dead Space (PC) - Like what I have played so far, just need to finish.
  • Dragon Age - Awakening (PC) - Played the main game but not this one
  • Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (PC) - Morrowind is one of my all-time favorite games. Never finished Oblivion.
  • Just Cause 2 (PC) - Another recent Steam purchase. Will probably finish this one first in 2011.
  • Planescape: Torment (PC) - (Hangs head in shame) I never got beyond the beginning of this. Forgive me gamers, for I have sinned.
  • Red Faction: Guerrilla (PC) - Got stuck about halfway through on the "drive vehicle through artillery barrage" section. Want to finish.
  • Risen (PC) - Barely started on this one.
  • Splinter Cell: Conviction (PC) - Think I'm about half-way through.

2011 Releases I will be purchasing

  • Deus Ex: Human Evolution
  • Dragon Age 2
  • Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
  • Mass Effect 3
  • Portal 2
  • The Witcher 2
  • KOTOR MMO (That's 2011, right?)

2010 and Prior Releases I will be purchasing and at what price
Will probably wait for these to go < $20

  • ArcaniA
  • Civilization V
  • Divinity II
  • Mafia II (Probably wait < $10 for this one)
  • Singularity

Side Goals
Like to do another playthrough of Deus Ex, Dragon Age and Mass Effect before the new ones come out.

I, tanstaafl, solemnly pledge to take part in the Pile of Shame monthly threads. Even if it is just for one game, I will put forth effort to clear my ever-growing pile, one game at a time.

(updated Jan 2, 2011 to use Pledge Format. Old pledge changed to GameFly Clause)

One of my big problems is that most of the games I have on my backlog are rather long. Partially because of this, many of the games are ones I enjoy while playing them, but don't have a huge urge to get back to. Too many good -- and long -- games to keep focused on one.

Also, I don't like playing PC games because I have a crappy laptop. but I don't have a desk right now, so I have to hunch over the laptop on the couch, which isn't comfortable for long periods. I want to buy a new PC, but primarily to play games, which would only increase my backlog. (You see the dilema). I may just get a desk and chair, which I would need anyway; that would let me play comfortably without bloating the backlog further, for the moment. There are several PC games I've been wanting to play, so I will probably build a new PC at some point this year, just later in the year.

Games in my collection I want to finish/watch the credits roll.
PC

  • Baldur's Gate 1 + 2 + Expansions, with the Baldur's Gate Trilogy Mod - I played these in college, but didn't get very far. A couple of summers ago, I bought the 4 in 1 pack from Amazon a couple of years ago. I haven't played it much for a few reasons:
    • It's massive. I've heard 100 hours for each of BG1 and BG2. That big of a game is overwhelming, especially when I have shorter games that I could knock off my list.
    • I can't figure out which class I want to play. I must have played the first 10 or so hours of BG1 about 5 times now. I usually play mages in RPGs, but the Vancian magic system is frustrating at low levels. Not as bad as PS:T (without the Rest Anywhere mod), since you rest in most places, but still frustrating. Oddly, I do enjoy playing a Sorc in my Pathfinder group, so I might try a mage again. The one I liked the most was a Ranger, and I've read that Ranger/Cleric multiclass is a good combo, so that is the other possibility.
    • The comfort issue, mentioned above.

360

  • Borderlands DLC - The Secret Armory of General Knoxx and Clap Traps New Robot Revolution. I have beaten the main game, and the Zombie Island DLC. I also have the Mad Moxxie DLC, but none of my usual co-op buddies have it and it isn't fun solo, so I'm not including it, unless another Goodjer wants to play it co-op.
  • Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
  • Crackdown 2 - I loved the first one, but didn't enjoy the demo for this. I donly got it because I put it on my Goozex list at some point and totally forgot about it. I may play it; or I may just throw it back on Goozex. Either way, it's pretty low priority
  • Far Cry 2 - I've had this since October 2009, and only put about 10 hours into it (out of between 30 and 50, depending on who you ask). I love this game, and I never play it. Hopefully, this year that will change.
  • Final Fantasy XIII
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - I was putting this off, but XBLA had it on sale for $5. Low priority until I clear some other things off the list.
  • Just Cause 2
  • Mass Effect 2 + DLC
  • Sacred 2: Fallen Angel - I've had this a while, but have only played a couple of hours. Need to get back to it at some point. It would be great to play in co-op if any Goodjers are interested.
  • Splinter Cell: Conviction - Co-op content + DLC + Some of the challenges

PS3
I literally just got a PS3 4 days ago, so I'm not too concerned they aren't done yet.

  • LittleBigPlanet
  • Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time - There seems to be some story hooks to the earlier games, so I want to play Tools of Destruction and probably Quest for Booty first
  • Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves

2011 Releases I will be purchasing

PC
Except for Diablo 3, these are sequels to games I haven't played. If I don't get to the originals, I will put these off.

  • Dragon Age II
  • Deus Ex: Human Revolution
  • The Witcher 2
  • Diablo 3

360
These are all pre-ordered. I may cancel some of them, and either get them later, or get them from Gamefly.

  • Dead Space 2
  • Gears of War 3
  • Portal 2
  • Bulletstorm
  • Brink

2010 and Prior Releases I will be purchasing and at what price

Pledge

I, Garden Ninja, solemnly pledge to take part in the Pile of Shame monthly threads. Even if it is just for one game, I will put forth effort to clear my ever-growing pile, one game at a time.

I also pledge to do everything within my ability to restrict my game purchases to those that I've listed, and, if I should falter, will shamefully add them to the pile in full sight of this support group.

GameFly & Lending Clause
Additionally, I pledge to keep my Gamefly account as the Single Disc Plan, and not increase it. I will also limit my borrowed games to, at most, one at a time. Both GameFly and Borrowing shall be used for "short games" (that is, 15 hours or less in length).

Looking at other peoples lists, my 16 unfinished games; although, based a quick and dirty calculation, those still represent around 600 hours of game time.

In any case, I updated my post to utilize the Pledge format that trueheart78 came up with, and other people have used. I also changed my original Pledge into a GameFly & Lending Clause. I don't know how many people have GameFly, but feel free to nick and/or modify it if you think it's useful.

Also, I saw you put my Looking For Group section under side goals. I'm not sure it really belongs there. I added it because many of my games are co-op, and many other people seem to be in the same boat. If no one has any complaints, I'll add it as another column in the spreadsheet.

I'm going to jump in here. I definitely have a sizable pile and it will most likely take me more than a year to get through it. I don't have much free time for games until around April but I'm going to do my best.

Games in my collection I want to finish/watch the credits roll.

Side Goals
Finish games before moving onto the new hotness.

Welcome aboard tanstaafl and iaintgotnopants! (will add you guys to the spreadsheet shortly, tagging to remind )

Also, I saw you put my Looking For Group section under side goals. I'm not sure it really belongs there. I added it because many of my games are co-op, and many other people seem to be in the same boat. If no one has any complaints, I'll add it as another column in the spreadsheet.

Sounds good to me. The spreadsheet belongs to the group, so feel free to use/modify it as best suits your needs. Is everyone happy with the 'all in one sheet' format? As I've been going through it, it's starting to get a bit unweildy. Any objections if I give each Goodjer their 'own sheet'. It will also make it easier to mark off our progress. At present the text formatting is applied to the entire cell of information, making it virtually impossible to strike through each game as they're completed.

Luckily casktapper was ahead of the curve, and as such, his completion of PT Winterbottom helped identify the problem at this early stage.

I can give each Goodger their own sheet, or do a sheet for each of the four components of "TrueHeart's Quartet of Contemplation". With the second option we'll still get some side by side comparrison if that's what the group wants.

Let me know. My 16 month old isn't sleeping too well right now, so there's 'opportunity' to be doing this sort of thing at 4.43am local time?!?!?

I wasn't sure I was going to post here, but when I started writing out my list, I realized that I needed an intervention. I stole trueheart's headers, but also added a new one of my own for games that I know I won't finish, but that I would like to finally get around to putting a few hours into this year.

Games in my collection I want to finish/watch the credits roll.
The Misadventures of PB Winterbottom
Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers
Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit
Dawn of War II (and Chaos Rising)
Trine
The Witcher
Ghostbusters
Red Faction: Guerilla
Alan Wake
Transformers: War for Cybertron
Layton & the Diabolical Box
Lara Croft & The Guardian of Light
Scott Pilgrim
Call of Duty: Black Ops
Fallout: New Vegas
Shadow Complex
Shank

DLC to finish:
Enslaved
Mass Effect 2

Games that I want to at least sample a couple of hours of

Recettear
AI War
Eufloria
Galactic Civizations 2

2011 Games that I will be purchasing

Portal 2
Batman: Arkham City
Mass Effect 3
LA Noire
Gears of War 3
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Marvel vs. Campcom 3
Uncharted 3
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

*sigh* That's too many games already, and I know there are a few big ones that aren't listed.

2010 and Prior Releases I will be purchasing and at what price
Fable 3 - goozex.com
Kirby's Epic Yarn - goozex.com
Donkey Kong Country Returns - goozex.com
Castlevania: Lord of Shadows - goozex.com

Costume Quest - $10
Vanquish - goozex.com

side goals
- participate in at least 1 GWJ Blood Bowl league
- grab the last 1-2 remaining achievements in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Enslaved to hit 100%
- stay competitive on the Pac-man CE DX & Pinball FX 2 leaderboards
- participate in some of the GWJ Civ 5 monthly challenges

edit: I should take the pledge...

I, casktapper, solemnly pledge to take part in the Pile of Shame monthly threads. Even if it is just for one game, I will put forth effort to clear my ever-growing pile, one game at a time.

I also pledge to do everything within my ability to restrict my game purchases to those that I've listed, and, if I should falter, will shamefully add them to the pile in full sight of this support group.

Speaking of ahead of the curve, I just finished off Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers and all the DLC. Well, I didn't do the co-op or the multiplayer achievements or collect every single card, but I did earn the rest of the achievements. Of course, I have Awakenings and the rest of the Dragon Age DLC targetted for January, so I still have a long way to go. And once I'm back at work, there will be a lot less time to play.

Let me know if you think this is easier to access and view (still a work in progress as I get the data across).

Seems a bit cleaner? Thoughts? It also allows for the Group Work tab as per Garden Ninja's request, and I htink it will also make it easier to add 'additional' stuff as the year progresses, and the needs arise.

I like it.

Alright, looking ahead, I've already got more games I want to see the credits for than I did in 2010, so I know going in all of these will not be done, but here's what I'm looking at:

Games I already own and want to see the credits roll:
Alien Swarm
Batman: Arkham Assylum
Blast Corps
Burnout Paradise
Castle Crashers
Dead Space
F.E.A.R. + Extraction Point & Perseus Mandate
F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin
Flingsmash
God of War III
Goldeneye 007
Joe Danger
LEGO Batman
Mega Man 9
Metroid: Other M
Overlord II
Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando
Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal
Simpsons Hit & Run
Sin & Punishment: Star Successor
Titan Quest + Immortal Throne
Transformers: War for Cybertron

Games releasing in 2011 I want to get: Everything after Team ICO Collection is a strong maybe with potential of being left for 2012 or not at all.
Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Little Big Planet 2
Portal 2
Team ICO Collection
Batman: Arkham City
Conduit 2
De Blob 2
Dead Space 2
DeathSpank
Monday Night Combat -I've wanted this since it came out on the 360 (don't have one) but I'm not sure there will be enough people playing
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

Games already available I will be purchasing:
Donkey Kong Country Returns -hmmm Costco has it for $44 right now
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves -looking for goozex or I may borrow from a friend who just got it
Valkyria Chronicles -goozex unless I see it for $10 new
X-Men Origins: Wolverine -goozex

Games that have been beaten but have more to do:
Super Mario Galaxy 2 -finished, going for at least 120 stars
Custom Robo - Saw the first story mode through, which rolled credits, still have the 2nd part.

Current Multiplayer Obsessions:
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Starcraft 2

That's 39 games + 3 expansion packs worth of content there where I've started a number of those already. Like I said, I probably will not get through all of these games, but I solemnly promise to try.
