Yea, Strikeforce card was fantastic, which is rare these days. Good on them for picking some good fights.
Nam Phan was robbed, seriously. There is literally no way that Garcia won that fight. I had a hard time believing he won a round.
Nam Phan looked much better at 145. I thought he was too small for 155. He won that fight IMO.
He is going to look back and wish he finished that fight in the 2nd round or wish he was more aggressive in the 3rd. Garcia was throwing some laughable haymakers in the third that were just screaming to be countered.
Garcia has a knack for pulling off stupid decision victories and I think I've figured out his secret.

Fighting Asians?
Hoping that GSP knocks out Koscheck this fight. Not just finishes him. Knocks him out. I want him to beat him where he thinks he's better. It'll be nice to see him humbled.
Can someone explain to me how Stefan Struve v. Sean McCorkle is the co-main event? That just seems backwards.

It's a mystery to everyone. I mean Sean McCorkle is a bit of an internet celebrity amongst the internet MMA community but it's still pretty strange.
I hope GSP beats the sh*t out of Koscheck and finally shuts his mouth. He's a cocky, obnoxious douchebag that is all bark and little bite and I'd like to see him get crippled. That. Is. All.
Wow. GSP pretty much did to Koscheck whatever the heck he wanted (except takedowns.)
I mean, after 3 rounds of "I am going to hit you with my left hand, over and over again", you think that Koscheck would have figured it out for rounds 4 and 5.
After this fight, who's left for GSP? Is there anyone in the division that's worth fighting? Jon Fitch again? Jake Shields? Carlos Condit? None of these guys appears to be even near the skill level. Maybe move up in weight? He's only 29 and basically cleared out his division.
After this fight, who's left for GSP?
After Shields, who had a title shot promised to him by Dana White, there really is no-one. Dana White has mentioned that a possible fight that a lot of people want to see is GSP vs Silva at a catch-weight. GSP has also apparently considered moving up a weight class, which would mean fighting at or near his regular walking-around weight.
The 2 most compelling match ups in my eyes for GSP at this point (at least at welterweight) are both out of the UFC. Nick Diaz and Ben Askren.
Anybody watching WEC 53? There have been some great fights tonight.
Pettis is a ninja!
There's a gif with a few angles.
If he had knocked out Henderson with that my brain would have exploded. That is seriously, without a doubt the greatest kick I've seen in MMA history. Takes balls of steel to try that in a real fight, too.
It was an amazing kick. During the post-fight interview, Henderson's cheek was swelling badly, and he was moving his jaw side to side (as if trying to loosen it) as he spoke. I feel for him today.

What amazed me most was that after 24 minutes of exhaustive fighting he attempts the kick, succeeds, and then lands perfectly on balance. Just jaw-dropping.
UFC 135 fighters New Years Resolutions
To Female Doggo slap nate
Best. Resolution. EVAR!!
Haha. UFC doesn't typically do things like that, cool to see them do something not serious.
So the UFC 125 prelims are going to be on....ION TV? Weird. I'm going to have to find a way to watch them online or something. Apparently it's a broadcast network? I don't know, just seems strange.
So picks for these fights?
I think Frankie keeps the gold. The only way Gray wins is if he can keep taking Frankie down, which is where BJ started to have success when they fought the second time. If Frankie can use his speed to stick and move, he'll get the UD.
And we get to find out if Chris Leben is the real deal. Hopefully he's cleaned himself up enough to win this one. I'm thinking Leben by something, round 3.
Honestly, I've never really been fond of Brandon Vera's fighting style, and he has stupid nickname, so I'm picking Silva in that one. Silva by TKO, round 2.
I'm going to say that Guida is going to be too fast paced for Gomi. Gomi did have a good knockout of Tyson Griffin, but Griffin is a much different fighter than Guida. Guida takes him down, throws some ground and pound, and takes him by TKO in the second.
Looks like Kim made good on his resolution.
No kidding.
And how about that main event? Amazing fight. I always wondered what would happen if a championship fight went to a draw.
Overeem knocks out Duffee in 19 seconds.
He HAS to be juicing, right? His size, quickness, and power are off the charts and he's dominating every opponent (MMA or K-1) better than anyone ever has.

That and he has no competition.

Duffee took the fight on something like 10 days notice. Is he juicing? I don't know. He certainly gained a ton of rip in a short while. However, like Gumbie said the quality of his opposition has been extremely soft. Think Kimbo Slice in EliteXC. Overeem is definitely a better fighter than Kimbo is/was, though. You don't get to be a K1 champ without very good standup skills.

What, you don't think Kimbo's fight with Tank Abbott was legit?
