PETA trolled into making Super Meat Boy parody

It's been over two years since PETA released their infamous Cooking Mama parody, but the controversial activist group has recently released another flash parody, this time taking aim at Super Meat Boy.

Turns out that one of the co-creators of SMB, who revealed that he "repeatedly made fake user names in Peta's forum pushing the game at them", actually prodded the activist group into developing the parody.

More in his blog post here.

Oh wow. That is AWESOME!

Hmmm, using them for publicity both SMB and PETA get noticed, as opposed to ignoring them. I'm not sure either is better.

PETA needs to be more open-minded. Meat Boy might be made of human meat.

He is:

First off I want to thank Peta for helping us turn Super Meat Boy into a house hold name and of course for making themselves look quite foolish in the process... see (as mentioned in countless interviews) Meat Boy isn't made of animal meat, he's simply a boy without skin whos name is Meat Boy.. but sshh don't tell them that.

Huh. Now I see why he needs Bandaid Girl.

They are now adding Tofu boy as a playable character. Hehehehe.

Just tried playing as Tofu boy... guess what his ability is?

Spoiler:

He can't run... plus he's pretty ugly.

Anyone know why he's doing this? It's getting to be more than easy publicity. Starting to sound like real hostility.

Why, I guess I don't understand why tofu and meat need bandaids?

Because he doesn't have any skin?

I'm not sure. Super Meat Boy is the second story on a search of PETA in Google News. That's probably more exposure than their entire ad budget got them. I'd milk it for all I could.

In a hilarious sequel to PETA's weird video game baiting, we have this Tanooki Suit Mario parody... thing.

Movie Bob at the Escapist made a pretty interesting video about PETA a week back.

Well worth checking out.
