Steam Holiday 2010 sales chatter

How many people have 12 friends they'd want to bless with World of Goo?

Just Cause 2 is a blast. Snap it up if the (group) price is right.

Depending on the price I might be interested in that.

Count me in if there's a good deal on this.

Me, too. Although it's $10 on gogamer right now ($13 w/shipping), and being a Steam game anyway, it will have to be about that.

I'm in for this too...now to find something else to put in my wishlist to keep it at the 10 game mark.
Exciting!

The Indie Story pack is crazy good, even if only for Recettear -- and the other 4 games in the bundle are an awesome bonus.

I'm interested too, if it works out to be $5 or under.

I would be interested in the GTA liberty city stories pack depending on the price but I picked up Kane and Lynch 2 even from hearing about how the multiplayer was, anyone else pick it up?

I did the same thing, then come to find out it's one of those weird anime games where you play a Japanese schoolgirl. It plays like it was imported directly from a Nintendo DS.

There's $5 I won't ever see again

P.S. the key to make stuff happen isn't the intuitive Enter key, it's .... the Z key (wtf?)

I've only played the Recettear demo, the Anime sensibility is normally like nails in my eyeballs but this game is mechanically unique and well written. Turn the sound down and reconfigure the controls and it's very interesting.

Hopefully this pack comes back down the line, I have literally no money until the end of the weekend.

The PQ2 thing is done, hope the game is fun for everyone of us and hopefully I'll be able to do something similar in the next big holiday sale

Well, And Yet It Moves was a blast. Very reminiscent of Mario Galaxy with the rotating gravity platforming. Might have got my money's worth already.

Where are you seeing the $10 price? Gogamer is showing it to me as $39.90

Over here for me. Still 50 hours left on that sale, so I'll see if Steam beats that price before the deal expires.

Yep, and there's five of them right now in that Indie Story Pack. Plus Arkham is too low for me to pass up at that price. Let's see what more evil temptations Steam can throw at me.

And this is still the bloody Thanksgiving sale!

In fact, there are four action buttons, which are mapped by default to Z, X, C, V. If you run custom.exe, you can configure your setup to a more pleasing set of keys. The game looks like it was designed to play with a controller, so if you have one you can hook up to your PC, that might be the way to go.

(Probably better to discuss it on the Recettear catch-all, though.)

...aaannnnd there's one down from my list towards the beginning of the thread (Batman GOTY).

Sure wish we could split up that Indie pack between games to keep and games to gift. I'm interested in Recettear and AYIM and would like to gift Puzzle Agent to my mom.

I've been playing it, and I love it so far. It seems like a very polished, well made game, and anyone who enjoyed PQ1 should find this very enjoyable as well. They did a nice job with the changes, and it plays more like a traditional RPG now. This was a steal at $3.50 as part of a 10 pack. I urge others to get another 10 pack going!

As for Reccetear, I will be giving it a fair chance. I was just taken aback by the anime aspect, which I've never been much of a fan of. I'm sure the game is well made, and is receiving lots of praise & interest for good reason. Katy, thanks for the tip on using a gamepad, I'll try that.

Thanks for the offer, and thanks to Grumpicus for hooking a brother up. Yet again GWJ is <3...

I'd be interested in participating in another PQ2 list...I'd like to get a copy for my wife as well, so 2 down.

I should say, my internet access will be spotty between now and the time the deal goes away, so if we do get another list going, it should be in someone else's hands. I'll check tomorrow before we head out, and if a list has materialized, I'll Paypal the funds at that point (be sure to PM me with a Paypal account).

I'm in for two Puzzle Quest 2 so we've got only 6 to go.

That Arkham Asylum price was juuuuuuust low enough to get me to double-dip; I already have the 360 version, but it'll be nice to have the option to play it on the PC as well.

Ah it's a boxed copy. Not much use for me then, I'll just have to wait for the 8-pack sale.

I'm interested as well in Puzzle Quest 2 as well.

Put me down for a spot on the PQ2 pack. Missed the first once around because all of the festivities.

ok so far for the 2nd Puzzle Quest 2 pack

Kerplunk

that's 6, only a few to go and we're good

Just Cause 2 is a boxed copy on Gogamer but it's a Steamworks game so it'll link up to your account

Hm sooo tempting.. But I will be greedy and wait for the Steam sale, I'm guessing it could beat $10

I'd take a spot in the Puzzle Quest 2 10-pack. I don't know how the process works, however.

edit:
Just read the support page, I'm still in.

This holiday season started too soon and too dangerously. In the past two days I bought Batman AA, Indie Story pack and something I don't even remember plus 10 bucks for Lich King and resubbed to WoW because the new content feels so interesting (been using the free 7-day period) and I don't even have time for any of it. I might as well make my credit card number public, the effect would be the same.

I'd be in for it as well.

I'll take a spot on that PuzzleQuest group order if it's still a go...
