Rock Band 3 looks pretty awesome!

I'll probably keep my RB2 band name: "Messy Merkins"

If I can do it, depending on the available options for character creation, I will call my band "The Sing-Along Blog", with Captain Hammer on vocals, Dr. Horrible on Guitar, Penny on Bass, and Moist on Drums. Any suggestions for Keyboard?

If I can't do that, I might re-create my band "Rock 4 Dead", and I'll try to add Ellis or Nick to the L4D1 Survivors.

I'm sure we'll use the same band name we've used since the original guitar hero: "G String" It was my wife's idea - our last name starts with a G and, well, guitar strings... I like it.

Any word on the Rock Band 2 song export pricing and any songs that won't make it over?

I'd suggest the one of the Hammer-fan trio, or maybe one of the members of the ELE. Possibly the bum who smelled like poo.

I usually go with Tanglebonitis as my band name

I shall be keeping Guitarded when I eventually buy RB3.

Thor Drop - nice.

Current Rock Band bandnames:

Muppet Theater
Pangalactic Priapism
The Cereal Killers
Shidzngiggles

I'll mention to the wife that we need a new name - I think the game's due to arrive on Friday, so we've got a few days to brainstorm it.

I'll be sticking with my original bands as well: "Phantom Leg Pains" and "The Short Bus Hijackers"

I'll be keeping That Darn Racket. They were originally That Damn Racket but Xbox Live said no.

The Starcraft references are missing sexual innuendo and or more overt scifi references

Kept hitting random in RB2 until it came up with Crashing Machine. Seemed good enough.

Name wise, I think my girlfriend and I will be sticking with our usual band name: Vodka Rocks

Any Canadians know what is going on with the Game/Keyboard bundle in our fair country? I've searched all the usual online stores (Best Buy, Amazon, etc.) and none of them list an entry for the bundle. I want to get the game this week, but don't want to have to buy the keyboard separately later if I can help it.

I heard there's no bundle for the PS3. I'm not sure about anything going on in Canada.

The Tromboners

Is it confirmed that the Lips mics will work with the harmony? Do they work in beatles rock band? If so I might do that because I have way too many cables as it is.

I pre-ordered the keyboard bundle from GameStop. The clerk had to figure out which one it was from the abbreviated titles in their computer, so yeah, hopefully I'm actually picking that up tomorrow.

Nevermind, answered my own question.

Oh man, just saw RB3 commercial on EPSN, singing Bohemian Rhapsody... good stuff.

Ya I saw that during football last night, so pumped. Just got Lips at Amazon for $29.95 for the 2 wireless mics

Picking it up at midnight tonight. Will hopefully have an answer to the pesky "How much is importing RB2 going to cost?" question for you all soon after.

It's 9.99 and a "majority" of the songs will transfer over.

Boom.

Thanks, I've been waiting to hear that info too. I'm also curious about the RB1 songs (will it require the disc I no longer have?), and about moving DLC from one 360 to another.

Not if you've already exported off the RB1 disc, no. Once you've done the export, they're treated as DLC. If you can see RB1 songs in RB2 already, you'll see them in RB3.

My order is shipping! Estimated delivery date - Wednesday!

I pick mine up at midnight tonight. If you see "me" online tomorrow, though, it will be my younger son. This "withJobs" thing is going to be kicking my arse all week.

Oh, and our band name is Electric Venison. Handed down since Guitar Hero II, thanks to a comment a kid made back then, "Nothing say Holidays like plastic venison with a power cord sticking out of it's butt."

Do you have a link to somewhere official for that? Or have you already done it you sly fox?

Thanks, that's good to know. So the last thing will be to see how RB2 songs will be imported.
