S&T in Vancouver between Wed, Oct 2oth ~ Mon, Oct 25th

If it won't, it's totally cool! I can catch the next one for sure.

Should be OK, though I think we may have to spill over to other tables. The biggest one I could get holds 15 so we'll be getting a little cozy. We'll just have to commandeer the tables close by and visit each others tables. At this point, I doubt I can find a bigger venue.

Next year, we'll book for 20 - 25 people right off the bat and look around much earlier for a really big place! I had no idea this would get so huge!

Let me know if significantly more people are showing up so I can call ahead and warn them - otherwise, we're headed to Pigeon Park to drink with the hobos because that'll be the biggest place I can find on short notice.

There's a possibility of the live podcast/donation-drawing starting as early as 5pm on the pacific coast. Is there opposition to the idea of gathering earlier than 6:30?

I'm cool with people coming over any time.

5 pm? Hmm, we would certainly want to meet up prior to that. Especially if we have any equipment to set up.

Kepheus and I might be a little late to Vector's - we're taking a furniture delivery on Saturday afternoon. But as soon as they leave, we're on our way over!

I'll probably end up at Vector's around 2pm I think. Depends on what ferry I take, but that sounds about right. I will find snacks and bring them!

It is looking like I will have to bow out, my lovely other half didnt tell me about plans for her best friends birthday till today, which happens to be saturday. We will get to the redmond one at least

Hmmm, maybe her best friend wants to game and drink with some awesome Goodjer type people for her birthday? It could happen.

I'm sorry we'll miss seeing you though!

Can't wait for tomorrow!

Vector, what time is best for folks to come over on Saturday to help set up technology and snacks? I'll bring Costo-Sized bags of Chips + Salsa and maybe something else.

Gravey bring beer.

Vector, how's your Rock Band library? I can bring my Xbox HDD too, it's got RB1, RB2, and LRB on it, plus ~120 DLC songs, if you haven't blown as much money on Harmonix as I have.

Do you have the PAX packs? I would looove to sing some Nerdcore!

In fact I do, plus all the Jonathan Coulton from the RBN. Every RB session should start with Paul & Storm's "Opening Band".

I'll have to check. My roommates don't stop playing but I rarely partake anymore. I'll do an inventory of what's around when I get home.

We also have a Wii upstairs but only two controllers. The house has two living rooms. One upstairs and one downstairs. Both have large screen TVs.

I'm thinking if people want to come over by 4pm that'd be fine.

My house is kind if hard to find. It's a black hole on the street because the house numbers are covered. I'll make a sign. There's lots of parking on the street too.

Since today's the day, here's a recap of the info:

S&T Part 1: The Slap
Thursday, October 21, 2010, at 7pm
At the Kingston Taphouse (map)
Reservation under Renee or Gamers With Jobs

S&T Part 2: The Tickle
Saturday, October 23, 2010, at 4pm
At Vector's, 1385 W 57th Ave (map)
Bring food, drinks, games

4pm? Alright. I'm way over west by the UBC endowment lands so I should leave early.

Is the #10 the only bus that runs on Granville these days? They used to have the 98, but it stopped running when they finished the Canada Line skytrain.

Well 4-4:45 really. If anyone is bringing any games or food etc. it's better to show up early.

10 is the only bus on Granville. The 49 is an option and it's possible to walk to my place from there.

Okay, I'll aim for 4PM. I'll bring a bunch of board games: Dominion, Khronos, Agricola. If you have a VCR I could bring Nightmare.

I do have a VCR.

Sweet. I will bring it then. It doesn`t have any crazy depth to it, but it should provide some good corny fun

Just checking back in, glad to see it's still ongoing; hopefully Vector's place doesn't get too mobbed!

Phase 1 complete! Last night was a lot of fun, I'm looking forward to Saturday even more now.

Realized that I don't want to haul a duffel bag all over the place so I'm just bringing Agricola and Fiasco sadly.

Aww I was looking forward to seeing the Gatekeeper again. Actually, on second thought, that game is probably better remembered than played. And I do want to try out Fiasco too, I downloaded the sample rules a while ago but still haven't looked at them.

For analog, I plan to bring Citadels, Pandemic, and Last Night on Earth (w/Growing Hunger).

Sorry for the late reply, been exceptionally busy the last 2 weeks. I'll be coming out too after soccer practice for the kids. I don't anticipate to be there until between 6-7pm. Looking forward to it!

I will bring Castle Ravenloft and liquor.

Hah glad to see someone else has played it! If I were a Vancouverite I'd bring it no problem, but I'm coming over from the island.

This S&T looks like it is shaping up nicely. I don't normally get to play many board games, as most of my friends are strictly video gamers, so it will be a nice change. I especially want to try Castle Ravenloft and Dominion.

I'll be bringing some giant Costco cookies and beer.

I am bringing food so I'll leave at around 3 and probably get there a little before 4.

I'm making rice crispy bars. But other than that, the gauntlet has been thrown!

7:30pm CST (8:30pm EST) is 5:30pm PST for us. So if you want to catch the conference call from Vector's place, make sure you are there before then.

Sorry about doubling up on the cookies, Amoebic. Mine are store bought, so I'm sure your's will be much better. Regardless, you can never have too many cookies. Plus I'll also be bringing a container of sour berries form Costco. Muhahaha....I'm coming to give every one cavities.
