Ugh; Pitt and ND get some ugly opponents. Oh well...let's see what the Rockets have in store for me in the Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl.

P.S. I will not be able to play my game until Friday at the earliest. Stupid Hawaii...

And, damnit, I played 5 teams in the final top 25, going 3-2! (And ranked behind all of 'em due to the -2 part...)

Checked two goals off my list this season. Last one is Beat Florida. I hope I can manage it.

I may not get to this until Wednesday night. I stayed up late last night to get my game in and now I'm partially zombified.

Nice. If Washington and Rutgers can pull out wins in their bowls, and I hold serve against the Yellow Jackets, I'll probably finish the season ranked #2 behind whoever wins the Ohio State-Alabama matchup.

Seeing as how I'm losing a whole lot of players, next year will probably be a rebuilding year, so it'll be nice to finish that high.

One of my goals was to play in a January bowl. Does the GMAC Bowl qualify as a January bowl? I am playing it January 6th.

I think that counts, although it sounds like you wanted BCS Bowl instead of January Bowl.

Jan 6th in the game, or are you holding out another 2 1/2 months to play your game

I won't be able to play until Thursday. Looks like we are staggering the bowls, that's pretty cool, we get to take a little time to show congrats to each bowl winner.

Rutgers is hoping to leap-frog over Boise St But seriously, I'll take the #3 ranking in a season I had to play SpyNavy.

It'll be Wed. before I have a chance to play.

Can't complain about a Fiesta Bowl appearance with a 9-4 record. Heck, and the Iowa State loss was on my hands.

So when is good for you Gdawg? My best times are actually after noon during the week (earlier on Tuesdays and Thursdays), and then after 10 pm in the evening.

Yes. I decided that I wanted this to be a true sim league.

I should get my game in tomorrow at some point.

I checked all three off my list, but my approval still seems stuck at around 50%. I guess Mangino did get fired after the first time he missed a bowl game. I guess I should not get comfortable.

Ugh. Can you red-shirt an entire incoming recruiting class? Looking at the estimated ratings I only have one or two players that is going to be able to play on day 1.

And I'm losing my 98 rated QB to the draft. His backup is a 74. Yay?

Are you checking this out online or on the XBox?

Just online. You can only see the ratings as B+, C, D-, A, whatever, but you can get an idea.

I just noticed my WRs, I have a Senior with an 80 rating leaving. I have 4 awesome WRs that will be Juniors next year, their current ratings: 93, 87, 80, 78. Even if Sanu decides to leave for the draft after his Junior year, I will still have some nice WRs behind him. With Martinek and Savage more than likely coming back, I just now have to worry about my O-line, which I need to recruit heavily next year.

*EDIT*
Oh, you mean the individual ratings, not the overall player rating. OK, I'm an idiot, lol. Thanks Hoppa. I also forgot that I did draft a 4* Tackle and Guard, so I am on my way to rebuilding my line.

Holy crap! I made a bowl game. I'll get that in this afternoon.

Yup, you made the WaWa Pity Bowl
Just kidding, with your draft class, we won't be laughing at Michigan for very long. Rich Rod's got nothing on you!

Remember you can spend some of your offseason recruiting time calling players that are jumping to the draft in an attempt to get them to stay. When you see the list of players, just push A while highlighting them, then choose how much time you want to spend...you don't get any input on the pitch used, but it lets you keep a guy or two you may not otherwise.

Yeah, I had to do that for Martinek in my offline dynasty, who I definitely would like to keep him 1 more year. Kordell Young is leaving, which eliminates a great change of pace back, but DeAntwan Williams is the same rating, and will be a Junior next year. He'll keep the seat warm in Season 3 for a 4 or 5-star HB I plan to try to recruit next season. Of course, it all depends on what is available. I need to heavily recruit a Punter and a Place Kicker next season. San San Te plans to play both sides of the ball his Senior year, since punter recruits sucked balls this season. I will have to tread very lightly next year during my kicking recruiting, I can't afford to get sucked in on a kicker/punter who doesn't want to come to Rutgers.

I hear the marching band at Rutgers plans to blast some Ozzie when San San Te kicks off:

Game is in.

I won in OT. It shouldn't have been that close. I continue to make crippling mistakes. I hope those are out of my system.

How about Thursday night at 11pm EST?

#22 Notre Dame will face Toledo in the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl.

Man! I can't believe that's a real bowl name.

Sounds good.

If anyone is on between now and then, hit me up for some games. I have not played much H2H with this game, at all. I'd like to get a few games in, if possible.

Boise State's players saw your quote on their bulletin board in the Superdome locker room before the Sugar Bowl. They responded with a 55-24 thrashing of the Yellow Jackets to end any talk of Rutgers overtaking them in the polls. It's bad enough when they got screwed out of a real BCS bowl against a worthy opponent, but to have a third-rate team like Rutgers talking smack is the last draw.

See you on the blue turf next year!

Hey, at least the game is realistic.

Oh, and holy cow what a crazy looking game between Oregon State and Texas!!

Someone needs that chart on when to go for two. But, yeah, that game looked pretty insane. I hope DS's TV is okay.

:-)

3rd rate team? Oh game is on! Rutgers would like to travel to Boise St next season. But only because I want to play on the blue turf! LOL. Your players should take no offense, I will be honored to finish 3rd, behind Boise St and the national champs.
