In the first round, you will draft the entire starting lineup of an NFL team.
So the first pick might take, for example, the Colts.
Then, the other 15 managers will pick... and then pick 15 more in reverse order... and the guy with the first pick ends up with the 10 starters from whatever team is left... for example, the Bills.
Interseting...
So, the 20 players on the roster at the very start are all the Colts and all the Bills.
Then, we can pickup FA's... I'm guessing that their won't be many with all 32 teams starting rosters being chosen - including the Bills. (Let's hope the Colts and Bills don't have the same bye week. That guy would be screwed.)
And, we can intermingle those players to create our standard starting roster.
Very interesting... makes the draft go by in 30 minutes or less.
My only concern (as someone active in free agency) is that there wouldn't be any FA's to pickup.
What happens if a player is traded or waived?
Hm, so Mike Tolbert went for $40 in FF3. How about the other leagues?

I got him for $30 in the the keeper league. But he was only worth that much to me because I have Ryan Mathews.

Some of the recommended bids from "experts" I saw were $15-20. I went $25 I think, figuring after losing Ryan Grant and Kevin Faulk I could use another RB that actually gets some carries. Oh well.
I did manage to grab Green-Ellis from NE. Not sure how the split is going to go between him and F. Taylor though.

I think the concern is that he's not necessarily guaranteed many future carries. His workload depends on Mathews' health. Tolbert's a big, sorta one-dimensional back, so there's not a lot of threat of him being a permanent fixture in the offense outside of short-yardage duty (Sproles will get all 3rd-down duty, so there's little PPR action for Tolbert to boost his numbers with). The Chargers are counting on Mathews getting into a groove and being the answer to their needs at RB.
That said, Mathews apparently has a high ankle sprain, an injury that is often a nagging one. Though his doesn't appear to be as serious as some high ankle sprains, it's still a concern. Tolbert is definitely a startable RB2 for whenever Mathews is on the bench.
I guess some of the reports thought he might be the goal-line TD vulture, even if Mathews is healthy? Time will tell.
Got him in my non-GWJ league so I'll be watching.

He may well get goal-line work, but at least in PPR leagues like ours, goal-line vultures aren't very valuable. They don't score every week, and there's plenty of 3rd down backs out there who get a touchdown's worth of catches+yardage every week.

"plenty"? right now in free agency? Name 3.... in GWJFFL1. (you can PM'em if ya want)
And, DeAngelo Williams (2 years ago) was a goal-line workhorse and scored a few points. And, LT had one of his best years, TD-wise, as the goalline guy.
I know.. it's only two guys... he could be a beast, he could be a flop.

Neither of those players are 250 pound fullbacks. Those are both explosive, every-down backs, even if (at least in DeAngelo's case) he wasn't necessarily every-down because of the presence of another tailback.
DeAngelo Williams two years ago had 273 carries for 1515 yards. If that's your idea of a goal-line vulture, then trade me yours.
We're talking about goal-line vultures: players who come into the game and take carries in goal-line situations, while touching the ball very little otherwise. Leroy Hoard was a goal-line vulture. Tommy Vardell was a goal-line vulture. Mike Alstott was a goal-line vulture who got a little more work outside the goal-line than most.
If Ryan Mathews is on the field, Mike Tolbert's outlook is primarily that of a goal-line vulture. The presence of Sproles means he's not going to get the 3rd down work. If he's lucky, he'll show enough to do some change-of-pace on 1st and 2nd down.

Not so many in free agency, but at the bottom of everyone's rosters.
Anyone see this?

i can't imagine that would fly in any private league for sure.
Man, I almost made a desperation trade this week (non-GWJ league) with Ryan Mathews getting injured I was stuck starting Correll Buckhalter. Looks like I got lucky this week now that Moreno's been ruled out. Now I just have to cross my fingers he doesn't get injured early in the game.
f*ck!
