About damn time. Comic Con highlights promise a return of Underbheit, Phantom Limb's team of insanity, and personal favorite King Gorilla, but Killinger got cut, which makes me sad.

I'm glad comcast added the cartoon network hd before season starts.

Hooray!

4.2 kinds of awesome.

Every season I've been sure they couldn't do better, and every season its amazing. VB has the curse of always setting high standards!

Just a little nudge for next weekends new episode. Sunday, Sept. 12 at 11:30pm.

More pics from the upcoming .5 season here.

Is there a place where I can rewatch 4.1? I think I deleted them off my DVR.

The Adult Swim website cycles some episodes every week. Currently, there are five on there. They are also available on itunes if you don't mind spending money on them.

I've totally gotten behind since watching the first two episodes of season 4. Things seemed to be veering off into typical late night stoner Adult Swim territory (aka Xavier: Renegade Angel). What I liked about the first couple seasons was VB was a perfect parody of Johnny Quest and other action cartoons from the 70s and 80s. I'm not sure I'm interested if they are continuing to go in another direction.

I liked a lot of season 4, but when you look back at some of the changes like Sgt. Hatred being promoted from bit part to main character, keeping Henchman 24 dead, and making 21 into a competent leader- I dunno. My least favorite season so far.

I think there is much more of an overarching story than there has been in the past. I really liked this half-season. The only thing I didn't like was Sgt. Hatred. He had his moments but there was just too much of him.

I agree with Hatred. The new 21 though? Sir, we may have to fight. I love him. He still has his 21 quirks. When he kidnaps Dean and Hank he is making a fake gun with his fingers and rolling around on the floor. Him now being buff just adds to the comedy.

When 21 faces off against Brock?
"This is like Christmas, my first BMX bike, and meeting the cast of Firefly all in one! Let's go, come on Samson, bring it!"

That Brock vs. 21 is as iconic as the original. There can be no doubt of this. It is fact.

Hey now, watch who you're quoting.

Funkenpants is the 21 hater. I really liked dark 21 especially in the last episode of the first half.

"We fear change."

I'm with everyone else in how the series continues to get better and better. I personally like Hatred and his amazing ineptitude. Without him you can't get lines like, "This will make all the little boys in your head go away." The series has thrived on its variety and its ability to reinvent certain characters that potentially get stale without making it unbelievable.

This weekend the season resumes!

Wait, I cannot do this.

Hatred is mostly a one-note character, and they've made the same joke about child molesting about 20 billion times. Can't keep beating the same horse.

As for the new 21, he's okay. He's got a few good lines, and his "You gotta bring it!" moment is classic. But even the small parts of the latest series when 24 returns in ghost form shows how much better they are as a team. At least, I like the team better than 21's solo act. As always, it's a matter of taste.

This is what I have to say about the new episode:

Argh, for some reason Cartoon Network went out on my apartment's cable. I'll have to see if I can catch the season premier online.

Was it the premier Sunday night? Because my dvr decided that it wasn't a new episode and not worth of being recorded.

Yes, it was. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be on the adult swim website yet.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk on last night's episode.

I thought it was pretty good.
I guess I'll hold off on any specifics until more people have had a chance to see it.

Adult Swim, having been, to my recollection, a full episode streaming pioneer, seem to have decided to be douche-buckets of late, and have been really spotty on providing new episodes--new Boondocks started coming days, and then later weeks after air. They're seriously pissing me off.

So I saw it through...alternate means. It was awesome.

Spoiler:

King Gorilla...I'm with the Monarch, it was tough to see him like that.

My DVR also decided not to record it.

That sucks. They used to have the full episodes on the website the Friday before they aired.

Mine did and I'm watching it right now!

Edit: One word:

Spoiler:
