Go Hokies! No chokie!

They're chokie so far. :)

ARRRGHH!!!!! *indecipherable screaming*

Good game, BSU now has to hope the Hokies win the ACC.

Boise wins! Awesome game.

Man is Tyrod Taylor overhyped. He's indecisive, and his QB rating doesn't reflect the sacks and near-sacks (lots of what were essentially sacks he turned into 0-yard or 1-yard "runs") he takes.

That final drive was garbage too. 1 minute with 2 time-outs, and only a field goal needed. With excellent starting field position, he only needed to move the sticks a couple of times. Instead, he's throwing deep shots down the field - and he doesn't have a good deep ball.

Someone was obviously a little more fed up than me watching UF's offense sputter against a team that finished 2009 1-11.

I just about fell off my couch when I saw that video during the Boise State game. I could not figure out what the heck Ole Miss was trying to advertise with it. It has certainly taken Mississippi by storm. Everyone is talking about it (and having a great laugh with it).

My favorite part of the extended version: "Go to Hoth LSU!"

Week two is upon us, I wonder if Cowbell U will pull a surprise tonight in Starkvegas.

I was scared to death of the Chickens beating my Dawgs this Saturday and that was before the NCAA dropped the ban hammer on Georgia's best player for selling the shirt off of his back.

In other games, I am leaning FSU over the Sooners, the Buckeyes to squeak past the U, the Tide to roll and the Ducks to sink the Volunteer navy.

Jayhawker, I'm sorta' sad to post this, but in a press telephone junket this week, North Dakota State had this to say about their upcoming opponents, Northern Iowa:

I think the environment that we're going to play in Cedar Falls is going to be much more of a hostile environment than Memorial Stadium in Kansas. That was pretty docile. And the type of team that we're going to be playing is going to be a much more physical, aggressive football team than KU. And quite frankly I think we're going to be playing a better opponent. I know one school is in the Big 12 and the other one is in the Missouri Valley. I think that gives an indication on how we see Missouri Valley play and the respect we give Northern Iowa.

Ouch.

Yeah, I saw that. Kind of pointless to take a cheap shot like that after the game.

I hope NDSU invite KU up for a game next year so we can what kind of awesome environment they have up there. Assholes.

Yeah; that was my thought, too. He comes off at rubbing it in in a way that wasn't necessary in the context of his phone call. I wonder when he'll have to start wearing a sling from all the patting himself on the back. At the same time -- what happened? How are you holding up? Are there calls for the coach's head already?

So my hope was that Kansas would start Jordan Webb over Kale Pick this week, since he is a better passer, and teams are obviously not going to respect Pick's passing game.

So far, so good.

First drive of the game for KU, Jordan Webb hits seven of nine for 63 yards and TD to tie the game 7-7. Couple that with two runs of six and 12 yards by their HB's and Kansas may have an offense after all.

Yeah, it's early. but I got get excited while I can.

Jordan Webb has two TD passes now, as Kansas takes a 14-7 lead on #16 Georgia Tech.

And Craig Bohl can shut his whore mouth!

After getting run out of Thirsty Bear last night by a bunch of University of Colorado alum, I'm rooting for Cal with a passion.

Well, I'm not surprised by Georgia's loss. With the way Florida is playing, S. Carolina might actually be able to win the east, if they can stay healthy. Lattimore is a beast.

Hopefully the Dawgs can rebound against the Razorbacks at home next week.

Rock Chalk Jayhawks! 28-25 in what was huge win for Turner Gill.

I never thought I'd say this, but ESPNNews' College Football Overdrive is awesome. It's like NFL Red Zone. Was watching JMU against Virginia Tech, which could really screw over Boise State.

Lol. Taking time while waiting in line for Harry Potter ride to say. How bout them hokies? Hahaha.

Couldn't happen to a classier bunch of guys.

This is turning into a wretched day for the entire ACC.

Ah, Boomer Sooner.

Guess I expected too much from new regimes (USF and FSU)

Ah well, my day will pick up tomorrow when I watch the TB Bucs...oh right, blacked out. At least my Rays are winning.

I would like to thank Virginia Tech for removing Ole Miss and KU from the discussion of losing to a team from a lower division.

All over the news today down here. Whining about blackouts. Real fans buy tickets right?

Hell they're like giving away tickets with 18-packs of beer or something. I hear deals on the radio all the time. I'd need an 18-pack to actually watch a Bucs game myself, but heck if you're fan you should be all over that.

Damn you Jake Locker. On the upside, if that Marshall game was any indication, we've got a shot against WV.

A bit off topic but, real fans root for their team when they are losing but there is no need to put money in a owner's pocket when they refuse to spend any money (the Bucs have the lowest salary in the league) or get an established coach (they hired their defensive backs coach with no head coaching xp). Plus Florida unemployment is like one of the highest in the country. At .34 on the dollar, the owners could certainly afford to buy the remainder of the tickets.

Oh well, I can still listen to it on the radio.

It was a good day for Jayhawk football. Turner Gill went from a punchline to hero pretty darn quick.

That's a great win for KU. Must feel nice after the week before. Now, if only ND can come back after a loss to beat MSU...

I was half-joking, I thought it was obvious from my beer comments.

Just moved to the area. No NFL team in KY, so this blackout stuff is all new to me.

Is the blackout the reason we're not getting a double-header today, or is that just the stupid stations here?

Early game on CBS, late game on FOX, no double header in sight. A little disappointed with my first regular season Sun of football in my new home.

Yep, that's it! At least you can buy some cheap tickets to the game outside the stadium if you want to go watch it. Have fun in the 110 heat though!

I don't like sports radio, because it's {ableist slur}. But this is amazing.
