Minecraft Multiplayer: GWJ World

A few notes.

1) Summoning or not, when working with obsidian plan carefully. Breaking out a few ill placed blocks takes time.

2) Working with huge amounts of obsidian in the dark is hard.

Yeah, I've gotten more comfortable with it now, but when I started incorporating obsidian into the art, I was so nervous sometimes I would screw up just because I was trying so hard NOT to screw up. I've probably spend half an hour total fixing obsidian mistakes.

I'd rather just frame with stone.

So, I've never seen anyone post this (I'm posting in both threads) but has anyone tried 3D anaglyph on? When I first saw that, I bought some blue/red 3-d glasses. That was about 3 weeks ago) They just arrived.

Minecraft in 3-d!!! Frakking incredible!!!

The blocks in a dungeon..I'm going to look for some mobs right now to see what they look like! I'm also heading to the multiplayer server also!

Dude... DUDE
you're blowing my mind right now!

Skeletons shooting arrows are even SCARIER in 3D!

GET ON IN THE NEXT FIVE MINUTES IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE HAND BURN AND EXPLODE!!!!!

Warp to "fort_cracker" and look east.

That burned fast. Also the explosives were invisible to everyone.

Did you at least take a movie of it?

Paleo said he was recording it on Fraps.

Awesome!

Anyone need any grunt work done on the server world? I don't feel up to actually coming up with something to build, but I'm happy to help out with drudgery...

Is there a GWJ World job board anywhere?

That's me. I've got it, but YouTube is giving me fits tonight. I'll let everyone know as soon as I manage to pummel it into submission.

Hey Bad. Well there is a ton of work available at the end of the east canal (The Parway on Fedoras map).

We're clearing everything down to the bedrock. If you want to help out we'd appreciate it.

Ok, I went through 10 picks and I'm spent! Jeez, looking back, it doesn't really look much different...

Hard labor, bustin' rocks.

That's what TNT is for
Just be careful, mainly on the west side.

Whoops, forgot about Quintin's burning finger. Oh well. I'll watch the highlight reel.

Dang. For some reason I thought TNT wasn't supposed to be used in there! D'oh!

Also, what's the plan for the floor? Should we just go down to the top of the bedrock, or mine out everything that isn't bedrock?

The floor just needs to be leveled where the rest is already leveled. There will eventually be grass there but w/ the work currently ongoing theres no reason to do it yet.

Thanks much for helping!!

Next waterfall is going to be HELLA-HUGE.

I have to say the test was impressive!

The floor is leveled off except for over by the lava flows in the south/west.

Here you go Chiggie, a new canvas for you. Most of the work was done by Fedora, CRT (I think thats Norfair) and Badgerpendous. Do whatever you want If you want it backlit like the other one let me know... lava is a Female Doggo to work with and I think I got a system down now.

Where the sand starts (at the top) is where the water fall will start so if you could keep it within that. We can give you more space if needed though.

Oh hey Fedora.. my fault for not telling you (and I know you did a lot of work on it). That angled area you have on the right... i actually wanted that straight east... I just cut off the excavation due to it being such a huge project...

PAR

Aw, that was going to be my angled water fall.
Ah well then.

FedoraMcQuaid wrote:

Actually, I like your idea better! Please make that your waterfall! We'll just angle back to the east as soon as that area hits land

PAR

Actually... I really like this Fedora

Ok Chiggie, here's your next canvas if you so choose to use it Also, dont feel restricted to the height. You can always extend it up into the sky... thats the reason I brought this down to the bedrock so people can create things that are the full height of the working world

Is this near the other thing I did for you?

I have to admit, I freak out a bit walking around in GWJ World... I'm always afraid I'm going to break something!

I'm going to scout for some spare space, far from everyone else so I don't ruin anything... I have a project in mind.

Edit: Anyone have dibs on this spot?
