Post a Picture - Something You Created!

I dig it, 7. Don't be afraid to embrace the limitations of pixelation, though--the 20px look like they were squished down from bigger sizes, instead of the other way around, which makes them less legible unless you know what you're looking for from seeing the bigger versions.

Thanks!

Hmm, that's too bad. I actually did the 20px first and then worked larger. Thanks for the feedback. Next time I'll have to come up with different representations at the tiny size. Any in particular you feel have poor legibility? Maybe I'll take a pass at improving some of them.

I was invited to take part in an international exquisite-corpse-style animation project. Everyone gets 4 weeks to make 5+ seconds of animation and continue the story. I was the eighth artist and though I only spent 2 weeks on my episode, it was the longest and most popular. /brag

If you want to see my episode edited in with all the others, check it!

I also put together this short about my struggles with depression, which is getting much more attention than I expected.

Wow. Nice work! I want to be you when I grow up.

Blimey, that's all kinds of crazy. Awesome though

Absolutely stunning. Damn, man, you really nail every aspect of these, perfectly. Super jealous!

Those are very cool animations. Good art style, timing, and movement.

1 & 2 and 6 & 10 stand out to me, I think because I'm more looking at the general shape and negative space (which there isn't much of in the latter pair). Especially if you're going to keep in mind colorblind users, you will want to try and start by thinking about letting the shape define the image, as if you only had two colors to work with.

Thanks for the feedback, man. Good points, and I'll definitely keep it in mind as I put pixel hammer to pixel anvil in the future

Perhaps I need to be more productive at work, but I really needed to put together a nerd card.

Mmmmm, tomatoes. What kind(s) do you have there?

Mostly Roma and some Beefsteaks. I planted waaaay too many tomato plants this year.

Edit: As my wife says, "Also,we do not drink as much as this picture would suggest."

That must not be much at all, then!

That looks delicious. How'd they turn out tastewise?

Yeah, that's nothing. Here's a pic of definitely too much alcohol, with the added side benefit of a hilarious expression from Cartoonin:

That's the expression to expect when toking from an apple pipe.

Apple shot glass, actually.

Thanks! From what everyone has told me they turned out great. My wife made sauce out of them that is better than any sauce from a jar I've ever had.

Awesome idea! I have an apple tree out back that is struggling under the weight of many apples and we have a party coming up soon, for which we made our own cranberry vodka and blueberry gin, hence the liquor on the table.

Go buy some red onions and varied peppers(jalapenos and green bells) and make salsa!

I think that's a good plan for this weekend. Anyone have any good recipes?

Is it just me or has this thread started to sound like the Food Network forums?

Hey, I'm not the one on trial here.

YES YOU ARE!

As I recall, it was purchased for Bananas Foster.

I believe I'm old. I noticed the phone on the wall first and can't recall the last time I had a home phone, THEN I noticed the bottles.

Did some more building:

We (and by we I mean I do it) do all our own windows and moldings etc. I have have been making and installing screens and their frames for 2 days! its driving me a bit crazy.

but I must say I am getting pretty darn good at it.

Looks great! I like the 2x6's on the roof but that must have been hell to install. Definitely post pics when you're done.

The same kind that have HO HO HO emblazoned on their cabinets.

It was a Christmas/New Years party, after all.
