Man, I really want to get this... Not sure how much I'll actually get to play it though. That and my Live acct lapsed.

So far playing the Gunner. Snipers and Assassins are pretty annoying, but I suppose that's the natural counter. If the Assassins don't one hit stab me I'm right there with the ground pound to stun them and then they're easy pickins.

I like being pestered.

I played the demo this morning before work. About to unlock the full game now. Shoot me a friend request. (tag in sig)

Game looks good so far. I've only played a few matches but I'm really enjoying it.

In the little I have played so far, the gunner seems like it will be what I play most of the time.

Had a blast with at least 10 or 12 other GWJers tonight! Let's do it again soon.

I'm digging that support class. Movable turrets, stealing turrets, calling in airstrikes, healing players, and the damage isn't bad either.

Sorry I had to drop suddenly last night. I'm not sure if it's my controller or what, but lately a lot of times my headset doesn't sync up properly, so that round I played with you guys I was just hearing the chat audio out of the center channel, not the headset. Was rebooting the console (only fix I've been able to find), and got a phone call. I'll probably try to play tonight.

I picked it up, and played the first practice round this morning. Upgraded turrets are awesome.

I'll jump online with you guys soon.

Ditto! Even though I sucked, I felt like I slightly improved by the end of the night. Looking forward to doing it again.

When you leave early, you miss the world's most interesting discussion of Nazis, Michael Berube, Jeremy Scahill, and Milton Friedman!

Yep, support is a mint class. I still hate assassins.

You know, this game feels STRANGELY like Brutal Legend's multiplayer in the way you have to consolidate your territory and then push forward (well, your robot troops push forward, you push up behind them as support). Maybe not so much if you're not an engineer, but I love when the Jackbots roll out and you follow them around keeping them alive while they blast out the enemy turrets.

Did anyone play the trial and have trouble connecting to multiplayer? I am. I've had trouble getting Army of Two to get up with EA's servers recently, and this is making me worry that the issue isn't with just that game.

I should be more specific: I would hit quick match in crossfire mode, it'd say "searching" for a while. I would then be the only person in the room, then 6-8 others would come. We'd sit around a while til people got tired of waiting and left. Never got the 12 required.

This happened to me a couple of times yesterday, probably about 20% of the time.

We had that problem last night when one person would initiate the search. Then we'd disband and have someone else start it up, and it would work fine. No doubt a patch is coming to make the game playable for more people.

Yea, that was me that couldn't get a game. NAT settings maybe? Mine are currently moderate.

The more I play, the less assassins seem worthwhile. They're great at killing players, but the games seem to be won in the end game and the assassin comparatively sucks against robots.

Has anyone figured out how to quickly bring down turrets? Even the airstrikes and the assault's bomb just dent the things.

I was starting the search/inviting people every time. There was no rhyme or reason as to why it would or wouldn't work (although it worked a lot more than it didn't).
