Swaydora's Box - My Terrifying Find in the Attic

I though it was a chicken or a pigeon!

...besides has anyone notice that we in page 8 already!

Yes, we''re on page 8, and Sway has been suspiciously silent. He SAYS he doesn''t have an internet connection, but I suspect he''s really just trying to avoid all this peer pressure.

I just had an idea what if there was no box.... what if it''s one of those eastern things, where box represents out community and devotion to gaming... this would explain why Sway is not so hasty to open the box which would bring an end to GWJ! Perhaps we should encourage him not to open the box...

After looking at the pictures again, it occurs to me that the ""box"" might be a bookcase lying face down. Sway, have you peekedunderthe box?

Also, I will be in the DC area within the next 90 days - can I open it then?

Master: What is the sound of the box in the attic?
Student: Holds up XBOX.
Master: What is the significance of the box in the attic?

Master: Is there a box in the attic?

Master: I have nothing left to teach you.

Wow, that just made my day... thx, Mateo

That was funny....

...though, Sway has GC also!

No, it''s definitely a malevolent casket harboring legions of the restless undead.

apparently not restless enough. stupid lazy legions.

Perhaps they''re plenty restless, but have trouble with complicated latching mechanisms. They''re the restless clumsy undead.

Looks like a cheap china cabinet or display case thing to me. It has hinges, and some sort of wooden panel or pane of glass that makes up most of the door.

You know Sway I have a theory about this. I learned today that the Japanese have this god that lives in the attic and makes you poor. The God of poverty. I was thinking that he lives in your box. He may be the reason for all of your internet missfortune. The legend goes that one day he just wakes up and walks away. He may be trapped in the box. So open the box and left good fortunes come your way.

One word:

Pandora.

Unless it''s a zombie bat! Hey, maybe the box is full of zombie bats!

You, sir, are not helping.

I never read this thread since it was sticky, this is still going on?!

Alright Sway, if you REALLY want to get the box open, let me know and I''ll come over. I''ll bring a baseball bat for you so you can cover me while cowering in the corner.

Hey Sway!

Love the red on the walls beneath your attic. What shade is that?

Well, you know, blood red, from what happened the last time someone tried to open the box.

Apocalyptic Red.

I guess this thread turned into open for discussion/make fun of Sway! Besides we soon will have to celebrate the half-year of this thread and the box still not opened or looked at or shot, burned, blessed by a priest, no animal control agency showed up, etc... Ah so many memories!

...and I have to agree with Shaolin_Monkey, it is a nice red color.

I try not to read this thread because I''m emasculated on a day to day basis enough as it is. However, now that my wife reads it and happily reads aloud the bits most likely to damage my self-esteem, I''m finding it necessary to, as KRS One said, represent. Two things, folks:

1. Please keep in mind that, as spectators (and distant ones at that), you are unlikely to be immediately affected by whatever I may unleash by opening The Box. LeapingGnome might be the only one within the effective evil radius. And, unlike yourselves, I will be forced to live with whatever pours forth from Boxy''s gaping maw. I can''t imagine it doing my house''s resale value any good when potential buyers notice the creeping crud on the ceiling over the bed.

2. Despite what I said in number 1, I will have new visual evidence for you next week. Perhaps it will just be a picture of me looking very scared. Perhaps more clues to what might actually be hiding inside, or even just behind, The Box. In any case, I vow to return to the attic next week. I''ve not gone up since the first batch of pictures were taken. For all I know there are two boxes now. To prove the pictures will be new, since I don''t get newspaper delivery, feel free to make a suggestion of what I should bring up with me. I''ll make sure it shows up in the photo.

So it is said. So it shall be done.

Woohoo... It''s good to hear!

A live cat, two expired cans of CoolWhip (or any similar generic edible oil product) and a naked Jessica Alba. Which you should then forward along to me.

Mmm... naked Jessica Alba...

Mental note, world ending sometime next week!

I am so glad we waited this long to see an empty box

Next week! We get new pics next week! AWESOME!

Just because you don''t believe in the apocalypse doesn''t mean it won''t happen.

...but what if it is empty?

"Nei" wrote:

That just means that whatever is there, is beyond our comprehension and our mind convinced us it didnt happen; just like that guy who looked like Britney that Pyro posted.

There was no guy who looked like Britney that Pyro posted.

Definately not.

Nope.

This is good to know. Now I''m gonna go visit the nearest loan shark.
