Anyway.

Enslaved is something Floomi has been mentioning on IRC off and on as occasion warrants.

IGN semi-preview

It's a third-person action game set in a post-apocalyptic future that, contrary to most post-apocalyptic futures, is kinda green. Neat looking. The commenters on Kotaku mention Journey to the West as a source and that looks interesting as well.

Concept art 1, concept art 2.

Normally I wouldn't be interested in a game like this, but thanks to social networking and Heavenly Sword looking fun, I'm gonna keep an eye on it.

I'm hoping they'll have this at E3, Heavenly Sword had its moments, hopefully they've learned a bunch since then.

I feel the need to point out that that first line has absolutely nothing to do with me. (But it's all totally true and you should do it.)

I've been working on this game as a gameplay coder since I joined Ninja Theory a year and a half or so ago. I'll answer questions as much as I can, although I am limited by my NDA, which is enforced by snipers that trail me 24/7. I think there's a red dot on my head just for reading this thread. Basically, I can't tell you anything beyond what's already been said officially by the company, but I have a pretty good understanding of what that is so ask away and I'll just tell you where to shove it if I'm not allowed to answer yet

The website (WARNING: AUTO-FULLSCREEN) has a countdown timer for the trailer reveal on it.

Why would women line up to have sex with Floomi? Can't they share?

I dig the overgrown city stuff.

I am actually really excited for this game. I love the aesthetic and world, from what I have seen.

Floomi - make sure it doesn't suck!

*accidental double post*

Also - I love Nitin Sawney, so that is really exciting he is doing the music.

Does it have dedicated servers?

Great looking game! Any chance it will come out for PC?

Um.. No thanks.

Game looks interesting though. Maybe we could get some "review" copies... you know... since i'm on a podcast and all....

I'm having trouble getting a handle on what kind of game this is, based on the screenshots. Is this closer to Darksiders and The Legend of Zelda, or is it a brawler like God of War, or... What are some reasonable comparisons for what to expect?

What he said. The art is nice, but you need to get some gameplay footage out there to tell people what your game is all about.

No.

PS360, I'm afraid.

Not my call. (No.)

Third-person action and environment traversal/clambery stuff. There's a nice preview on Eurogamer that explains more. And here's a shorter one on GameInformer if you're scared of seeing too many words at once.

Trailer in a fortnight, as I already said.

Thanks for the link. I really enjoyed that article, and I'm a lot more excited about the game now. It not only looks pretty but sounds like it'd be a lot of fun. I haven't played either of Ninja Theory's other games, but this one is definitely on my radar.

Can we look forward to a demo of some kind?

I've been looking forward to this one since I saw the first screens. I'm very interested in seeing what Ninja Theory can do with a current-gen game when they are unshackled from the burden of having to create a PS3 killer app. From what I hear, there are a lot of excellent folks working there. Present company included of course.

Glad this got started, looking forward to this game since I first heard about it a couple of months ago. The one thing that really strikes me is that it is very colorful for a post-apocalyptic world. I'm definitely excited about exploring a grown over NYC.

PS - I didn't realize the guy who wrote 28 Days Later also wrote this game!

Just read both of those articles, and this is now a large blip on my radar. Thanks!

I have a serious weakness for post-apocalyptic settings, and everything about this game so far looks pretty darn intriguing. I'll definitely be keeping this one on my radar.

You and me both.

Well, i think it's time you got on their case! I mean, i'm a very important person and i'm kinda a big deal on the internet!

Interesting. So it's a bit like Yakumo and Pai's situation then.... sorta.

Great trailer!

I've only recently started to hear anything about this, but I think the premise and gameplay seem interesting. If it's good, I hope it gets enough marketing to be successful. If it's bad, then I hope God buries it into the heart of darkness. Looks to have potential, though.

This is the first I hear of this game as well but I loved Heavenly sword. The characters and acting in that game are really well done. Also it had solid gameplay. I have a lot of faith in Ninja Theory and look forward to see what they manage to pull off.

Looks good Floomi (and fellow Ninja Theory folks). A little too platformy for my tastes, but I will parrot the sentiment of liking the look of your waste land.

Looks like the PR machine is gearing up pre-E3, so time to do some more shilling share a few updates with you. First up, some screenshots:

More on the Facebook page, which requires sign-in (boo!).

And a couple of interviews are doing the rounds, courtesy of Gamespot and Gametrailers:

It's really pretty, Floomi. I'm looking forward to hearing more about it from E3.

Monkey King!

I am so looking forward to this as the Journey to the West is one of my favourite stories of all time. Purists may not like the changes (Trip is a woman?), but I think it's a nice way to update the story with wicked sci-fi elements.

(BTW... this is my first post ever in this awesome, awesome community!)

I am really excited for this game.
