I'll show you a picture of myself if you show one of yours. Deal?

Nope, I don't remember having one. I was born in 61, so I'd have been 7 when they came out.

Multiple kids or multiple exposures?

Thanks! Multiple exposures combined in Photoshop.

I am insanely jealous, even now, years later. I wanted that particular set so much.

I was born in 1973 and that was my third birthday, so that puts that particular barn at 1977. I got the house for christmas.
This might have been why I could stand Harvest Moon. My farming started early.

They say the mind is the first thing to go.

We also had the yellow house , school, plane, and a garage. I was born in 1967 so my memories would have been from the early 70's.

I have that set! Note "have", not "had". Well, all my Lego are at my parents' somewhere, I should download the instructions and find out if I still have all the pieces. I did reclaim my Lego for a while and rebuilt some of my favourite sets, but it's all gone back into storage except for a couple new Star Wars sets.

Next time I see my parents, it's gonna be on like Donkey Kong.

I may have to try and dig up some legos from my parents. Probably have the pieces for that set. I believe that was the most epic set we had as kids. Although, I did have a pretty rad fireboat, police boat, and fishing boat.

I think one of my brothers had that castle set. I still have my castles, they're up on a shelf in my room, enough out of my way that my wife won't see them and glare at me.

All of my legos are in a couple big plastic bins in the basement - just waiting to be taken back.

The old medieval and original space sets are still my favorites. My first set ever:

Awesome. I need more space before I can start putting up Lego sets without glares.

This was my favorite set:

I just had to take down all my Bionicles, due to those glares. I gave them all away to a guy in the office with young kids who'd appreciate them. I still have the boxes of space Lego kits and spare pieces I picked up at tag sales. You can find big boxes of Lego's for cheap at tag sales.

I always wanted that pirate ship. I read a short while back that they are discontinuing the Pirates line of Legos. I suppose to make way for a licensed Pirates of the Caribbean line. Right now they have one huge Imperial Flagship for about 180 bucks I think. I sure would like to pick that up before they disappear. It even has the spring firing cannons.

I love that shot! Very cool.

Multiple kids or multiple exposures?

The real question is how did he treat them before nailing them to the tree? usually they end up so pale and lifeless when I try that.

Oh sh*ts, I had that one! I still vividly remember unwrapping in on Christmas morning.

By the way, Gravey, thanks for ensuring that I wouldn't get anything done today by posting that brickfactory site. I've spent the last hour just looking through all of the theme pages trying to find my favorite sets.

haha i feel so young here... =D

This was the sh*t when I was growing up. Still have them all somewhere.

That's because you are. Now let go my legos.

That was an awesome set. I had another two ships and was able to combine the center pieces for some monster pirate ships.

Gotta get them fresh. Find a trail with lots of hikers and some concealing bushes.

This set was my pride and joy as a kid:

Guess that dates me somewhat though.

How do you think I feel?

complexmath wrote:

Wow, pre-visor space minifigs. You're old. When I was a kid, I used to imagine my visor-less spacemen were always suffocating.

My first lego set was this one (I think) - 1985 (so complexmath isn't necessarily THAT old)

Yeah, posting that brickfactory website has killed/wasted some time for me today. THANKS Gravey.

Yes, this was literally one of the first sets we owned:
IMAGE(http://www.brickfactory.info/scans/00000/05651/001.jpg)

This was my first Technic kit, or whatever that line was called:
IMAGE(http://www.brickfactory.info/scans/00000/0854/001.jpg)

My first space ship:
IMAGE(http://www.brickfactory.info/scans/06000/6890/001.jpg)

And my first castle kit (I'd built one myself out of loose bricks)
IMAGE(http://www.brickfactory.info/scans/06000/6073/001.jpg)

Damn, I had so many of those sets. 6073 was also my first (packaged) castle.

I loved Lego more than I loved that barn.

Let's continue the discussion over here.

Good call.

According to this thread Goodjers are made of Legos!

"I'll show you a picture of Legos if you show one Legos. Deal?"

I think this thread can continue...
