I'll be in line before the doors open Friday. If anyone wants to come and hang out while we wait I'll be easy to find.

I'll look something like this:

Wait - I just got back home from day 1 - and I saw that - was that really a GWJer?

Yup that was me

Haha i missed you, you made it into kotaku though.

Thanks to everyone for coming out, and if I missed you, come find me tomorrow. Easily the largest and loudest s&t I've been to. There were another 15 folks downstairs eating too. Was cool to have do many goojers in one place.

Wait, the S&T was UPSTAIRS? Ok then, I was downstairs.

Stopped by for the S&T around 7 with a buddy. Downstairs was packed and I wasn't sure if you were all upstairs or not. We were both jonesing for a good sitdown meal so we bailed out and jumped into Cafe Jaffe around the corner. Great little reasonably priced Middle Eastern place if anyone's looking for a spot this weekend (thanks go out to Mrs. DirtierParsley who works in Back Bay and gave me the suggestion).

I spotted Arovin twice today (hard to miss that bright blue and yellow) but otherwise can't say I'd recognize any goodjers by sight and I didn't see any Stan logos on badges. Any other meetups planned this weekend? I'll have my 10 year-old in tow tomorrow (he's going to have an absolute blast!). I feel like I'm surrounded by goodjers this weekend but have now way to make contact!

Oh - and I demo'd "Zombie Dice" at the Steve Jackson Games booth. Fun little quick pickup and play dice game (needed a few beers to go along with it though :-)). Unfortunately they sold out for the show - should be in shops early summer apparently.

That one onkotaku was not me. I spotted at least 3 other blackmages at the show today. Anyone who spotted me at any point after the keymote it was someone else. I was in costume for the initial line around 10am till the keynote at 3.

Plus my costume has eyes that actully glow.

So, that guy I yelled "Weiner Bomb!" at just thinks I'm some pervert. Awesome.

The Slap & Tickle was good fun. For the few I talked to, you guys rock. For those I didn't, you missed out, cuz I'm pretty awesome.

Fun times. Awesome to meet the people from the forums, and hopefully we'll cross paths again today.

Wishlist of panels i'd like to hit: http://pax.expohud.com/9R9Y

Will post photos from the S&T when Internet is free. (stupid hotel)

I had a blast meeting a few fellow GWJ'ers last night, and my only real regret is that I didn't get a chance to meet more of you. The music in the pub was quite loud and it made it that much more difficult to have a conversation (my shattered voice this morning is testament to that), but everyone I did meet was super friendly was super friendly. Here are a few pics my wife and I managed to snap last night:

Shame it's a bit blurry, but pretty much everyone there was a Goodjer.

Gordon FreemanDoubtingthomas396 standing on the left: thanks again for getting this organized! As you can see, lots more Goodjers on this side of the pub.

My wife took a pic of Bnpederson and I: he's extremely well mannered.

The PAX East badge, but look closer!

Stan in attendance!

Yay! I escaped the wrath of the camera!

It was great to meet so many of you good folks yesterday. I'm definitely up for another impromptu gathering today or tomorrow. Or a more formal s&t sometime later.

Awesome pics guys, I'd love to see more! Anyone have a sense of how many people showed up?

It looked like 35-45 when I showed up. Not counting however many were downstairs.

I'm the black&white jacket with his back turned. That's Kincher Skolfax and wife that I'm talking to.

Yay! I missed the camera at the S&T again. My record still stands!

In fairness I didn't get to stay long. I had a great time seeing people, and I'm sorry I didn't make it over to Tabletop after all. I ended up working a second shift at Console Freeplay until close. I will probably be there most of the time again tonight. Come on in and you can take your odds at borrowing one of my games or my Wii. It's kind of weird when people notice the nametag while I'm checking something out to them and do a sort of double-take. Then we get to do the spiel on how our games and hardware library is formed every year.

It looks like I'm going to miss the noon-ish panel, but I'm still shooting for the podcasting one. If anyone wants to say a quick Hi, I'll be in the main press room most of the day.

Ya, wish i could have missed the camera too....Not exactly flattering, but at least stan looks good on the badge.

Thanks to everyone who attended the Print panel. Could not believe the crowd -- and you all seemed to still care! Oh happy me!

Waiting in line for rabbit's Podcasting panel right now. Been looking forward to it. You've got a great guest list lined up!

Any of you guys coming to the QT3 meetup?

The podcasting panel was great. It seemed like they had much more to talk about, but ran out of time. The funnest panel of the con, so far.

Completely agree. The panel was much more serious in tone and technical than a few of the others I've seen or heard about, but that's part of why it was so interesting. Julian, you did a great job at keeping things flowing and I really like how you used the sound bites to illustrate certain topics with crystal clarity. I get the feeling that the panel could've run longer and still have some really interesting topics to discuss. I'll try to post some pics of the panel later.

Oh, and as an aside, I got to meet Jeff Green: total geekout moment!!!

Yup, had a good time at the podcasting panel and at the s&t. The Civ V back-room preview was nice too (:gloat:).

Wish I could've heard/remembered more names from the S & T. I talked to Arovin and Skeletonframes for a while. I'd say there were easily 30-35 people there at the peak.

I can't name everyone in the pics, but I'm the face in the far background of the 4th pic above.

The print panel was great... excellent work!

Any word on if there will be a recording of the panel. Anyone sneak in a video camera?

I know Tekman recorded the audio from both panels, but I didn't see any Goodjer there with a video camera.

Pictures!

I also recorded the whole Podcasting panel on my camera, but the whole file is 3.74gb. I haven't run through it yet to check quality, and it was recorded in shaky-cam mode. I'm going to fiddle with the video in the next day or so to see if I can get it watchable and save the audio.

You might want to PM Tekman about that as he also recorded the audio on a field recorder, so maybe you could sync the two up (or subtitle if it gets bad at select points).

I... can't tell if that's sarcasm.

Meeting up with various GWJ folks and rabbit's podcasting panel have definitely been two highlights of PAX for me. Patton and I dragged Indignant over to the Bitmob meetup after the slap and tickle, then pumped him full of booze. Poor guy almost got in trouble with his wife!

Dennis, I still owe you a drink!

However, if you're too drunk to recognize him, expect an earful!

Awesome! Thanks for the hot pics, especially the guy in the Turbine shirt. They sure know how to party.

Gah! You got me! I'm the one in the mushroom shirt in the first picture.

Did anyone else go to the concert last night? Video Game Orchestra was great, rocking some classically awesome tunes (ChronoTrigger! Final Fantasy! OMG Castlevania on harmonizing electric guitars!). I thought VGO was going to be a hard act to follow -- I'd never heard Paul and Storm before. Man, was I wrong. My cheek muscles still hurt from laughing so much! And then JoCo? God, what a perfect finale. I was in the upper level, and looking down onto the sea of people in the crowd below doing "the zombie" simultaneously was stunning... and just a little bit creepy.

Absolutely genuine: no sarcasm there whatsoever. You have to remember that up until PAX, the majority of the pictures I saw of you included monkeys. One can't help but form SOME type of opinion with such a source.

Here are a few more snaps:

Part of 'The Death of Print' panel. I didn't really have that good of a seat for pictures, but I like this one since you can tell Russ is getting excited by waving his hands around.

IMAGE(http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e361/SyllverViper/DSC_0204.jpg)

A small contingent of Goodjers. I was assured that no butt pats were distributed during the taking of this picture, although I'm still doubtful.

IMAGE(http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e361/SyllverViper/DSC_0205.jpg)

The 'Podcasting (f)or PR' panel. Super interesting stuff.

And total geekout moment for me, having a chance to chat with Jeff Green for a moment:

IMAGE(http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e361/SyllverViper/DSC_0211.jpg)

Him and his EA podcast co-host (Samantha LaPerre) are both totally awesome and great to chat with. Aside from meeting fellow Goodjers, this was probably a highlight for me.
